أخيراً أصبح بإمكانكم إنشاء مكتبتكم الإلكترونية للكتب العربية من خلال iKitab، برنامج القارئ العربي من نيل و فرات nwf.

يمكنك شراء الكتب أو الاشتراك شهريا والحصول على اكثر من ١٠٠٠ كتاب خلال مدة الاشتراك. يمكنك اختيار الدفع من خلال نظام apple شهريًا بـ ٥‪.‬٩٩$ أو كل ٦ أشهر بـ ٣٢.٩٩$ أو كل سنة بـ ٥٩‪.‬٩٩$.
يتجدد الإشتراك تلقائيًا من خلال نظام apple بحال أردتم إنهاء الإشتراك نرجو التوجه الى حسابكم على apple لإلغاء الاشتراك ٢٤ ساعة قبل التجديد التلقائي‪.‬ لا يمكن الغاء تفعيل الإشتراك قبل انتهاء المدة الزمنية المححدة له.  
  
يمكنك البحث عن كتاب معين بطريقتين؛ إما عبر كتابة اسم الكاتب أو عنوان الكتاب.
استمتع بتصفح الكتاب بطريقة مسلّية ومريحة عبر استعمال خاصّيّة الزّوم لتكبير الصّفحة  أو تصغيرها. كما يمكنك التحكّم بحجم الخط ولون الخلفيّة ودرجة الإضاءة، للحصول على تجربة قراءة ممتعة ومريحة، كما يمكنك استعمال خاصّيّة "الخلفيّة اللّيليّة" لتتمكن من القراءة ليلاً بكل سهولة.
كما يمكنك الضغط على لائحة المحتويات في رمز الكتاب للانتقال إلى الفصل الّذي تريد قراءته، أو استخدام الشّريط الظّاهر أسفل الشّاشة للانتقال إلى الصّفحة الّتي تريد مطالعتها.
يمكنك أيضاً إدخال علامات مرجعيّة لحفظ الصّفحة الّتي وصلت إليها، لتتمكّن لاحقاّ من العودة إليها بسهولة.
يمكنك إضافة ملاحظاتك الخاصّة و حفظها في أي صفحة تطالعها، من خلال الضغط على رمز "إنشاء الملاحظات" في القائمة. 
ظلّل أي عبارة ترغب بالعودة إليها لاحقاً وغيّر لونها بالضغط عليها لمدّة ثلاث ثوانٍ؛ إلى أن تظهر على الشّاشة لائحة الخيارات ثمّ اضغط على خيار "إضاءة"، واختر اللّون الذي يناسبك.
يمكنك اقتباس اي عبارة و نقلها مع التنويه .
 للعودة إلى علامة مرجعية أو ملاحظة أو العبارة المظللة يمكنك الضغط على  رمز الكتاب في القائمة.
استخدم خيار "البحث" لإيجاد كلمة أو عبارة أو آية قرآنية في محتوى الكتاب بكامله.
بالإضافة إلى المميزات السابقة تمتاز بعض كتب iKitab عن أي كتاب ورقي أو الكتروني بإمكانية مشاهدة بعض الأفلام أثناء المطالعة.
عند استعمال تطبيق iKitab ستستفيد من أكبر قاموس عربي-عربي يحتوي على 71000 كلمة، يتيح لك الحصول على شرح معاني الكلمات وذلك بمجرد اختيار الكلمة والضغط على كلمة تعريف.

Very slow app that doesn’t allow you to turn pages easily. It has technical glitches that make it freeze and exit from the app. I eventually cancelled my subscription and moved on!

أنا أقرأ الكتب الألكترونية في أغلب الأوقات، تجرأت وأخذت الخطوة لأثق بنيل وفرات وأشتري كتاب الكتروني، مكتوب في الموقع ان صيغة الملف ePub وكنت قلقاً من إجباري على القراءة من تطبيق واحد فقط! وحصل ما توقعت!
السادة القائمين على نيل وفرات،، عدم شراء الكتب الالكترونية العربية ليست بسبب انه لا يوجد قارئ عربي، ولكن لوجود تطبيقات وإدارة تطبيقات لاتزال تفكر بعقلية ١٩٩٣م 
ما المانع من توفر الكتب على أمازون؟ لماذا الإجبار على قراءة كتاب في تطبيق سيئ لأبعد الحدود كتطبيقكم؟! حتى أبسط المزايا الموجودة في أتعس تطبيق أجنبي ليست موجودة لديكم! حتى ميزة القراءة في الآيباد بشكل عمودي وأفقي ليست موجودة،،، 
نادم أشد الندم على الكتابين اللذين قررت شراؤهما بصيغة الكترونية!
وتطبيقكم عبارة عن إجبار القارئ على القراءة تحت تجربة سيئة، وتحكم وسيطرة غير مبرر لها سوى الخوف من قرصنة الكتب (بالرغم من وجود حلول فعالة وبالرغم من تطور طرق القرصنة التي طالت حتى أمازون كيندل) 
أبديت رأيي في التطبيق الفاشل جداً دون أن أبدي رأيي في تجربة شحن الكتب الورقية والتي قد تساوي تجربة القراءة الالكترونية في السوء.
