毎日やっていてマスターの数が7000を超えました。ほぼ英語の勉強はこれだけですが、中学レベルからTOEIC750点までになりました。
教材がしょっちゅう入れ替わるので、気になる教材はとりあえず学習項目に追加しておくと良いです。
英検対策が準1までしかないので是非とも1級対策を用意して欲しいです。
自分は例文まるごと理解したいので、学習のタームの最後に日本語の例文を表示してくれたらいいのになと思います（それを自分が訳せるかどうか確認したいので）

### 2/5 — 英語アプリの中では一番いいですが、それでも不満がある！

他のアプリと比べるとダントツに良いですが、裏を返せば他にロクなアプリがないという事。
不満があるのが、何人かのネイティブが文を読み上げてるけど、1人とんでも無くクセの強い女がいる。限度を超えてクセが強いので何言ってるか分からない。
あとは他のアプリにも言えるけど、意訳が学習者を混乱させて英語習得を難しくしている。例えば日本語で「間違った内線番号をお知らせしてしまって申し訳ございません」という問題文に対する答えが、I'm sorry that I gave you the wrong extension for my phone.になってたけど、「どこにもmy phoneに当る日本語部分がないけど」って言いたい！
これ以外にもそういう意訳が混乱を招く部分が多い。
ただそれらが改善されたら神アプリとも言える。

This app is phenomenal for its Japanese and Chinese courses. However, there are also community courses that are only addable in browser. (There's a really good one for Korean just called "Korean 01")

It would be nice if this functionality were advertised in the app, as this would lead to more quality community courses.

This app is very good, when I moved to Japan it got me to a point where I could navigate Japanese quickly! 

The only thing I wish it had were more languages. I’m currently studying mandarin now, but more options that’s not community made would be really good.

This is a simple and effective way to learn new vocabulary... when it works.  

Unfortunately, the last few versions have introduced features that are of dubious value (e.g. answering using numbers), along with many bugs and annoyances.  I used to be able to enter answers using romaji or hiragana, and had always wished I could use kanji too.  Now, all answers must be entered using romaji.  If I try to enter hiragana, very strange things happen (e.g. typing KA inputs あ, and when i hit 'delete' to correct, I end up with ああ).  Also, for no apparent reason, the app will now just crash in the middle of a review.  

I also wish there were more example sentences to go with each vocabulary word - some have 2 sentences, but most only have 1.  Some of the sentences are unique and interesting, while others are quite generic.  I feel each word should have at least 5 interesting sentences so that the user can see the word in more contexts, quizzes are more difficult, and learning more active.

Having said all this negative stuff, I have to say that this is one of the few apps I find myself using every day, and that's what makes it so effective.  The choice of vocabulary is also generally quite good.  I find myself running into these words repeatedly in the real world.  I also like that there are different types of quizes.

一つの単語だけではなくて、組み合わさって意味を成す単語の意味もあったらもういうことなし！的な文章だったのですが、何かかんにさわってしまったのかな。
消すまでせんくてもいいのに。

一番難しいコースでも準一級とSAT 5コースのみ。
CEFRレベルでいうとB2までのアプリです。
例えばTOEFLを95点から105点にしたいだとか、IELTSを7.0点からさらに上げたいだとか、C1からさらに磨きをかけたい学習者には物足りないと思います。私も長らくこのアプリを愛用していますが、C1に先日到達しかなり物足りなくなってきました。

UI等は素晴らしいので、もっと難易度の高いコースを新設すると、幅広いユーザーに使われるようになると思います。

英検1級対策、GMAT&GRE、TOEFL100over, IELTS7.0overといった上級コースの登場を切に願います。

以前のUIに比べて、入力時の単語内のスペースが広くなり、単語間のスペースが狭くなったので、単語の切れ目が分かりにくい。　また、入力後にヒントを表示させようとしても上手く表示されない。以前のUIの方がマシだった。

自分で登録した単語や例文を読み上げてくれるうえ、様々な国の人の音声を選べるのは秀逸です。
良いアプリで助かっていますが、ときおり発音記号が無かったり音声と一致しないことがあります。例文の質はまちまちです。

今日（2024年8月31日）新しいバージョンに更新したところ、無事動くようになりました。
（以下は古い情報です）
2024年8月30日朝からまともに動かなくなりました。レッスンの途中で突然終了、再度起動すると同じ単語をやり直しです。再インストールしても直りません。

DMMオンライン英会話を受講しているのて、オプションで使わせていただいてます。
毎回学んだ表現を、カスタムコースにて登録し、先生別、または月別のアーカイブに残しています。
少し前の月を復習したりすると、実際に学んだレッスンでの場面も思い出す事ができて、とても楽しいです。
講師から教えてもらった表現以外にも、オススメの例文や、自分で探してきた例文も登録して、理解を深めています。

一つ、是非追加して頂きたい機能がございます。
他の方も要望で出されていますが、自分が登録したアイテムの検索が出来ないのが難点です。
以前、その要望に対する回答で、ウェブ版の　
iKnow 辞書検索を提案されてましたが、その検索機能は、iKnow 辞書内の検索であって、個人が登録したアイテムの検索ではありません。
自分自身が、登録したものを、確かめたくなる事がかなりあるんです。
私も、そこを解決する為、iKnowに登録した内容を、googleドキュメントにも保存しておいて、何か思い出したくなった時には、googleドキュメントから検索しています。

登録したもアイテムについての検索が可能で無い点が不便に感じておりますので、他のアプリで可能なものに乗り換えようかとも思ってしまいます。

I came back to this app wondering why didn’t continue to pay for this app. So I took a test trial again today and remembered. You have option of studying without being quizzed on Kanji. I needed those early wins to keep me paying for it. I have no interest in writing Kanji and assimilating deep into the culture. I just want to speak it. even some japanese don’t know how to read and write kanji. Make it an option so causal learners can enjoy your app too.

For now, we recommend you to study on Rapid Choice and Self Check if you want to study with Kana.*Please set the quiz type to Forward on Rapid Choice, then it shows the items with Hiragana.
Note that since Rapid Choice is an easy quiz, it only gives you small increases in study timing and progress. Because of this, it is possible that some of the items you just studied are getting back to be ready items very soon. We hope these info helps and provides you with your studying needs. I spent so much time trying to find a decent solution. The big apps never did it. Not enough character reading, not enough new vocabulary, etc

This app has solved all my needs. I have been able to memorize 1000 words, and their characters in the amount of time that it took me to learn my first 300 characters alone

その後アカウント管理でメール追加とかあったので何かあった時のために予備のメールを登録するかと思い別のメールを設定したら、今までのアカウントでログインしようとしたらログインできず。
どうなってるのか？

3ヶ月プランの契約はどうなる？
Appleからの領収書も6月16日に送られて来ていますし領収書もあります。

何回か問い合わせメールを送ってるが返事なし。

お金を返金するか、契約した時のアカウントが使えるようにして欲しい。

I formerly rated this app 5 stars but unfortunately a bug in the most recent version is driving me crazy.  I use the return key to hit the “Next” on the iPad app with an external keyboard.  Unfortunately, in 5.2.8, you have to hit return twice to select next.  When you are reviewing hundreds of words per session, this extra stroke up adds up quickly and my hands have started to hurt due to the extra stress of this repetitive motion.  I hope this is fixed quickly and I can revert my review to 5 stars because other than this one super annoying bug the app is wonderful.

長年ankiを利用してきました。こちらはsmart.fmの時に少しだけ使ってて当時から覚えやすかったです。音声聞いてすぐに和訳が思い出せるようになり、学習効果を実感しております。

さらに孤高のアプリになるべく、幾つか希望を言わせて頂くならば、まずカスタムアイテムで選べる複数の文章を一度に追加したいです。つまり今は1文づつの追加ですが、複数の文章の中からアプリに移したいセンテンスをチェックすると一度に追加できるようにしてくださると手間が減って助かります！

あとdaily newsのiknowへの追加する単語を本文から選べるようにして欲しいです。学びたいwordが、wordリストになく本文中に有ることが多いのが理由です。

今のwordリストは全てがインポートされてしまい、不要なwordを学習から除外するのが面倒です。

また選んだ単語で例文を提案してくれて一緒にインポート出来るともう最高です！AIと組み合わせれば出来そうだし、実現したらもっと課金しても良い。

このアプリが英単語学習アプリの中で1番好きです。もともとDMM英会話のおまけとして使ってましたが、今はこのアプリ単体に課金しています。
だからこそ、改善してほしいところが1つ。iPhoneのウィジェットです。連続学習記録を飛ばしたくないので、「今何日連続学習」って言うウィジェットを作って欲しいです。(有名な緑のふくろうの言語学習アプリは現在何日目っていうのを伝えてくれるので、毎日忘れずに学習を進めることができます。)

また現在既にあるウィジェットでクイックに学習できるものを設定しましたがそこでは何度も同じ単語が出てくるので、そこでの学習はあまり意味がないです笑

とにかくこのアプリを使い続けたいので、ウィジェットの追加検討お願いします！

I’ve been using this app daily for almost 7 years, and I’ve never before felt prompted to write a review, despite always loving the app. Thank you SO MUCH for dark mode!! You have made my user experience so much better. I really love this app, it has been such a great vocabulary builder for me for Japanese, and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

If there was one thing that concerned me it would be pitch accents though. I’m trying to learn Japanese, and because I don’t know them myself, I can’t really tell if the pitch accents are correct, or there at all. I repeat the sentences to learn them, but if the pitch accents are not correct it means I’ve learned them all incorrectly.

I finished my first 1000 Japanese words! I had not been able to make vocabulary learning a routine until now. The difficulty of example sentences and the automatically played pronunciation are perfect for me. As a visual learner, I also found the pictures for each sentences fun and helpful.

That said, I think the app would benefit from having a dark mode theme. It would be lovely to spend my sleepless nights learning some new words. :)

現在使用から毎日二週間継続中です。
使用途中の感覚でのレビューをさせていただぎす。
動作がとても軽くて、アプリの起動がスムーズで良いです。
隙間時間でできる項目を自分で選べるので手軽にできます。
それと自分が今週どれくらいこのアプリを使って勉強しているのかがわかるので良いです。
実際、昨日1hしたから今日も1hはしよう。というモチベーションに繋がります。

まだ使用二週間ですがとても良いアプリだと感じます。
自分は単語帳何周したら覚えれるとか書いてるのを見ても読んだ気になって、実際に覚えれてるのか自分ではわからないので、そういう勉強法ができませんでした。
しかしこちらは問題の解答がわからないと確実に間違って何度も何度も問題が出てきてくれるので、実際に覚えていけてる感覚がわかります。

というわけで私としては星5評価とさせていただきます。
また継続していけばレビューを再度していきたいと思います。

I have been using this 6 months and I’m 240 hours in.  I can now watch Japanese programs in Netflix with Japanese subtitles and understand a lot of the kanji.  A real game changer. I tried everything and this system really works for me.

I’ve been using the iKnow service since it was known as Smart.fm, and I’ve been using this app for about 10 years now. I’ve tried a lot of other Japanese flashcard apps, and this is definitely the best one that I’ve found. Their spaced-repetition algorithms that quiz you on vocabulary items just as you are beginning to forget them, works perfectly. According to my Study Progress screen, I’ve learned 4778 words using this app. That’s something that I’m proud of.
