## What is Ilena?

Turn steady language practice into useful rewards.

Complete vocabulary cards, sentence drills, exam questions and reviews to earn learning points. Harder and longer questions award a bonus, up to 5P per completed item. Redeem 5,000P for one month of Ilena Pro, or for eligible mobile gift rewards in supported regions. Availability, inventory and redemption terms are shown in the app.

WHAT YOU CAN PRACTICE
• Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English and more
• Vocabulary, sentence building, grammar, reading and listening
• Reviews made from words and expressions you saved
• AI chat: text with AI friends in the language you are learning

LEARN FROM WHAT YOU ALREADY ENJOY
Open a webtoon, article or video subtitle inside Ilena, or bring in a screenshot. Capture Study adds readings over the original text, translations below it, and turns important words, expressions and characters into study cards. You can also tap non-highlighted words to inspect their morphology and meaning.

Points are not cash. They are awarded for completed learning rather than repeated taps. Reward regions, inventory and redemption requirements follow the in-app terms.

PRO SUBSCRIPTION
Ilena Pro is an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or annual). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.4 — 2026-09-29

• Practice conversation by chatting with AI friends. Text in the language you're learning as if with a real person, and tap any bubble to study its words and expressions
• Create several characters. Tap a face to open the character's profile, and change their name or photo
• New translate bar: write in your own language and get it in the language you're learning
• Replies still arrive if you leave the app mid-chat
• 1,000 new listening articles: 100 for each of 10 languages, translated into your native language
• Pro subscribers get more free chats and richer capture study right away
• Fixed tapping Japanese and Chinese sentences not opening the translation, and more

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-23

• Earn points from new lessons and reviews
• Harder and longer questions award up to 5P
• Redeem 5,000P for one month of Pro or eligible mobile gift rewards
• Check your balance and available rewards from the new Rewards tab
• Fixed saved-material, kanji-reading and bookmark issues

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-18

• Much smaller app. Exam question sets are downloaded only when you need them
• Try capture study before signing up — tap "Look around first" on the login screen
• Tap any word, not just the highlighted ones, in a captured page (every study language)
• Chinese tone practice and radical breakdowns added to Letters & Sounds
• Explanations filled in for French accented letters and the Russian alphabet
• "Continue studying" row takes you back to a page you captured and studied
• The browser remembers where you were reading, and kanji cards show the Japanese panel again
• Fixed study content issues: exam explanation translations, duplicate questions and more

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-16

• Capture study pairs each original sentence with its translation. With Pro, open a word and phrase breakdown for every sentence
• Repeated characters: tapping opens only the word or expression at that spot, and the photo marks the same spot
• Save words and expressions to your notebook from the detail screen
• More comics, novels and news shortcuts for French, Spanish and other languages
• More accurate key expressions for space-separated languages, plus bug fixes

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-12

· You can now show a capture button over other apps. While reading a webtoon, watching a video or playing a game, one tap turns that screen into a study session (turn it on or off in Settings).
· Travel interpreter: your conversation stays in place when you reopen the app, and saved conversations can be reviewed later for study.
· Capture study: the highlighter now draws continuously, and a Chinese word-boundary issue has been fixed.
· Streak freezes and hearts help protect your study habit.
· Tidied up the study menu and interpreter screen, plus small bug fixes.
