I even cannot update it since I bought it one year ago. Well, it started cleaning at the scheduled time only once yesterday and it did not do it today. I found that every scheduled cleaning was inactivated. I can’t use the app without the 5G update!!! Thank You!!! ### 1/5 — Offline with latest iOS update *2019-10-06* Not that the vacuum really knows where it’s going online, but since the iOS update, the app is constantly showing offline, but the vacuum is still connected to WiFi. **Developer response:** You can manually wake it up while the sweeper is asleep, and pull down the device list on the app to update the status of the sweeper. The code expires within 30 minutes of it being generated and sent to your email. But guess what it can take hours even days for the code to arrive in your email and then you are magically supposed to know it has arrived and have 30 minutes to sign up. This app is terrible at setting up the WiFi connection. I am not sure if it’s a bad update or bad programming but it won’t connect. As soon as I connect my iPhone to the iLife A9, I go back to the app to continue setup and it never “sees” that I’m connected to its WiFi. So it won’t enable the “start connecting” button. App Developer: fix it! ### 1/5 — Worst app ever! *2021-01-05* This app is by far the most frustrating app I’ve ever had to deal with. The robot doesn’t connect to wifi even after following all instructions. I have not had a single problem with the vacuum or the app. As a matter of fact, I love the performance of the vacuum in every aspect and find the app easy to use and smooth. The problem is that when the controller is used to set the time, the scheduling is reset. I thought with the camera you are able to see the layout of the house; hopefully this is implemented as a software update, as currently, the map looks underwhelming compared to other mid-tier vacuums.Also, when will the next A9 OTA update be? ### 4/5 — Forward remote control function is reversed *2019-09-18, version 3.0.0* App developer needs to update either the app or the firmware. Forward button on the app sometimes reverses slightly and stopped. Have to turn couple times via the controls in the app to get the forward function to run again. Would be very good feature to have memory of the rooms with multi levels. ### 4/5 — It does work but instructions could be more clear *2019-07-21* In the setup instructions it says to press and hold on one button on the robot until you hear the two beeps which is when it’s WiFi signal will turn on. You need to be doing this while already inside the settings app in the WiFi section where you choose the network with the Robot-XXXX name and put in the default password it tells you to enter and once you’re connected just go open this app again and press connect. Very simple process but I can see how others were unsuccessful in connecting their device to WiFi. For the developers, these instructions could be a little more clear so I would suggest making a video tutorial if possible or work on the setup menus in the app if that’s possible too. It did take me a few tries initially with connecting but I finally figured it out and works pretty well both connected to WiFi and over LTE. Another pain point this app I found was not being able to access the remote controls via the app for some reason.
