Been using this app which I find tremendous only issue is that since the latest update 4/12/22 the app has frozen and it’s very difficult to report this to anyone. Hopefully issue will be resolved then a 5*star rating from me.

Features are ok, like the password protection and the email functionality although this doesn't pick up alternate email apps if you've disabled Mail.

Feature suggestion: the ability to delete interest line from a loan. This should also remove those lines from the emails

Great idea. Very easy to operate and great basic features that other apps lack. Unfortunately my favorite feature is the only one that doesn't work right. Sometimes when I apply a payment to a loan, the balance doesn't change. Need that to work to keep track of set.

This is the only loan application I've found that's ideal for Loan Sharks. I wish, however, that there was an option for monthly or weekly interest rates, since Loan Sharks usually engage in short term lending. No hickups noted, although I've not been able to use it for my transactions due to the restriction previously noted.

The app definitely needs improvement and it seems there's no one to do it because I've had the program for some time now and can't remember not even one update.. It really has the potential to be a great app if the creator would take sometime to improve it and not just take our money and abandon it's users.. Please update regularly

I think what this app needs to make it complete is profiles for the people you add. This way you don't have to enter their name and email address again and again, but just once and then choose it from a drop down for the loan. Also, the ability to email someone the entire amount they owe you (instead of each item separately) would be great. 

Hopefully you will add these, because it will make the App great!

Recommendations for improvemt: Where is a help section, expanded settings options, currently very limited, how bout adding   Credit card and other form of expenses other than just loans, increase the functionality, currently very limited

I downloaded this application because I do a lot of micro loans to friends of mine. This app does very well at tracking the various loans that I do, and also allows me to deal with payments, and use email to help people keep track of everything if they feel like they need that reminder. However, there is one glaring problem with this app that has prevented me from giving it more stars. You cannot do anything in decimals! This is a glaring problem for micro loans, everything is not always in whole dollars! If this application could do 5.25 instead of just 5 it would be rated 4 stars.

I received a very simple no interest loan of $1600 and thought I'd use iLoan to track my payments on it. I made two payment; one for $200 and another for $100. iLoan tells me the loan balance is $1200. Really? The only reason I gave it 1 star is because there's no option to give it a 0.

I purchased and used this app for a bit and loved it. After the iOS 8 update it fails miserably. Freezes constantly after payment and data missing until it's clicked on are just a couple issues.  Do not purchase until it's fixed.

I just purchased this app literally seconds ago, and I cannot load any loans or other data.  There are two buttons on the home page EDIT and SAVE--the SAVE button is ghosted (meaning you cannot save any information you enter into the fields), effectively rendering the EDIT button useless. When you go to the developers' website for support, after setting up the mandatory account, you discover that all of the information is dated by at least two years and there is absolutely no way to contact the developer or get support. BOO to Josh Pressnell and the Verietas Software site.  SAVE YOUR MONEY!  You will be better off keeping track of money loaned with a tablet and pencil.  I WANT MY $ BACK!  Track that!

Seems to be aimed at loan sharks (lenders) than people trying to keep on top of their own loans, which is what I wanted it for.

You can only enter whole dollar amounts, not cents when posting payments.

Also would like to be able to specify loan terms (months, interest...ect). This does not keep tract of payment amounts nor tell you when clients are past due. Pretty useless!

The fact that you can email statements and receipts is great....IF the rest of the app would be updated.

Hope to see this updated soon...

- Retrieve contact data from device contact list.
- Display of previous payment/repayment date and amount.on the loan summary screen.
- Help! to provide brief description for each data input field.
- SMS/MMS receipt to payer.
- Ability to amend loan description.

I have used this loan app a few times now when lending friends money. It really helps me to be able to tie in an interest rate into the loan. I think it is easy to use as long as you pay attention to the numbers you enter into it.

The app does the basic work in good name 

It needs to get mobile number to identify the individual. Receipt and reminder support with whatapp is required wherein it can be send to the person thru apps

This app works great for the price. I needed a simple way to keep track of personal loans, this app does just that. I am having a problem with locking the app (security feature) on my iPad. It will not let me back in after I set it up, and I am retyping in the correct password. I've had to reload the app to open it. I can get along without the security feature. Would like to see continued development of this app! Thank you for it!

Love the app and it is a must have for the money I lend out. The other reviewer saying you can't save is an idiot. That is cause all fields must be filled in first. Much improved since "Loan Tracker". The receipts and statement emails are awesome and very helpful. Maybe include an option to customize the message in an update. You can also now add negative payments for late fees or if you loan out more money to the same person. Would have given 5 stars if cents were available for input and if you didn't have to use the spin wheel. Both of which arnt a big deal. Thanks to the developer for this app as there is none other like it and believe me I tried at least 6 others looking for the features this one does. Great buy!

I needed a way to keep track of payments and calculate interest for loans to my friends. Earlier versions were a bit buggy, but they seem to worked out now.  There are a few limitations that need to be worked around, but once you've got the knack of it it's not hard at all.

Pros:
-Email payment receipts and statements to borrower.
-See payment history and balance at a glance.
-Multiple loans per borrower.
-Easy to figure out basic usage.

Cons:
-Only whole dollar amounts for initial loan amount.
-Number entries must entered using date entry type select wheels, typing numbers would be much easier.
-Compounds interest monthly, but does not say so anywhere.
-Cannot change compounding period; creates the following "issues." (The numbers come out like they should, but it causes what looks like odd behavior unless you know what is going on behind the scenes.)
-Per diem interest (month to date) value included in display loan balance, but not in calculated balance. 
--If a payment is posted mid period it is applied to the balance at the end of the last period, not including per diem interest.
--Must pull up a statement (as if going to email) to get pay off amount as of last the end of the last period.  (Cannot payoff based on displayed balance because it includes per diem interest that has not actually been applied to balance yet.)
