The app continually tries to load and locks up. ### 4/5 — Great app *2023-06-05* This app has been wonderful and I’ve been using it for years. I recently updated to the latest app and have noticed a few bugs that weren’t there before. When uploading data from my company it appears to get stuck in a loop when importing crew members info and will eventually crash before completing the update. It keeps me organized, works seamlessly with my calendar, and updates easily with trip changes. Love the ability to see all trips I’ve flown over the years with individual crew members. Have emailed several times over two months regarding an incomplete backup to restore problem and I NEVER get a reply. ### 1/5 — Not sure its worth the Monthly fee *2022-12-28* I’ve been using the original app for years. I saw the recent push for the new app. I backed up my files to the server and loaded the new app. I restored the server file to the new app. I lost the last 6 months of flight data. It didn’t load into the new app. Several attempts had the same result. The crew images did not load. Yes they might be on the phone but I had to access every crew member individually to get the images to load. It appears that it was downloading them from CCS rather than the phone. Several of them took more than once to get the image to stay loaded. That’s a lot of work if you want all the images from years of flights. Call me cheap but, I might consider an annual subscription. I get more out of EZCCS for less than half the price. The Auto renewing subscription screen doesn't let you scroll down and read the whole info without selecting subscribe. What I am not seeing. There is no mention of how to unsubscribe in what I can see. **Developer response:** I’m sorry you’re having this experience. If you had reached out to us we could have helped you out. As far as the last six months of data we have been encouraging users to transition for almost a year now and we warned users that the 1.14 update would transition to a new database making the transition more difficult. Having said that, the data is still on your phone and we can help you get that data if you reach out to us at help@ottopilotsoftware.com. Also we have an update already submitted to Apple v1.14.2 that will allow you to restore from the old server until it shuts down in February. Again, please reach out to us if you need help, but I assure you the data is still there. As far as the price, you’ll have to determine if it’s worth it to you. The app was either getting turned off forever or a subscription model being put in place to keep it running. EZCCS is a great tool and has different functionality. Help@ottopilotsoftware.com ### 1/5 — No front end updates in over 4 months. *2022-12-10* If you’ve paid for the app and have crew access you have to update each pairing individually to show crew members rather than a single update for the monthly schedule. In addition, with the transition to the new named app, the history of crew photos is deleted. Currently the app requires you to look up each crew member individually to update. Responses to app reviews aren’t related to the review itself. They are always statements that an app I’ve used for 14 years isn’t meant for my use anymore. **Developer response:** Jetserf, thank you for the constructive criticism addressing specific items that are not working correctly for you. The change over from the old app to the new app did not copy photos over however the old photos are saved on your phone in Files under the old app. For users at United, crew members are automatically downloaded and in most cases update as you download each pairing with no need to individually modify each crew member. Some airlines do not allow this ability and some do. Also, depending on your airline there is no need to individually modify pairings. For example, United again will download your entire pairing information as well any crew members. Some other airlines have modified their systems and changed the way they display pairings so if that functionality has stopped it is most likely due to changes at your airline. As another example, in our latest release Alaska airlines import has been reactivated but works in a different manner than before. Also, crew members will not auto populate for Alaska yet. If you are at an airline that this should work for, please reach out to us directly so we can help you figure out your issues with our software. I’ll be fine without this app. The new app also crashed on setup. I thought I was setting up the new app, but when I got to the subscription part, I realized I don’t need it that bad. ### 3/5 — Crew lookup is broken *2025-07-01, version 1.15.1* The info messages are breaking the functionality of the crew lookup feature. If you try to contact the developer, there is no option to ask questions. There is just some how to videos. Very frustrating. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review. We respond to emails and there’s an in app function to send directly to us as well. We also sent a in app blastmail notification to all users on how to get your crew photos to load for United while we fix the issue. The issue isn’t with the App it’s with the fact that your airline is adding security layers to their websites and we need to develop a new way to download the crew photos. Additionally, while attempting to submit feedback through the app, I was unable to select the “submit/send” button. Separately, while attempting to submit feedback through the App Store website link, I received an “phishing” warning for the link. The developer reached out and I revisited the airport database to search for BER. Brandenburg appeared but as SXF. Subsequently the database self corrected and EDDB became BER. Ottopilotsoftware.com and 719-256-0005 Btw, the database does reflect EDDB so you need to ensure your phone or iPad updates the local database you’re using. This will solve the issues you’re having with data import because that was updated in the database months ago when other users reported it missing. The user feedback submit button not showing up is being worked on and hopefully we have a solution to that soon. Either way. It’s great if you’re trying to keep your flying time and currency, keep track of who you fly with, or keep track of hours to make sure your pay is correct. I also find it very useful in calculating flight time when preparing for an FAA medical evaluation.
