It becomes effective when you turn on the Image Blocker setting content blocker.

Please turn off the setting of content blocker If you want to see the image.

150円でこれはいいアプリですね。5Gでも使えました。特に建物内など電波が悪い時に活用してます

The good thing is that Apple included this into the operating. Wish I’d known that before I paid for it. Only $1.00, but still..

On the downside, it hides all images in everything. I only need it to hide images temporarily in reader mode in Safari so I can pdf single articles of interest in reader mode. Then switch it back, right in Safari as an extension. The iCAB browser does it beautifully, but not all websites reformat well in reader mode. Text reduces to an unreadable size. Won’t use google or Microsoft browsers cuz they infiltrate everything, no escape. Will try opera. 

In short, for my purposes, this image blocker is more trouble than its worth, if you’re looking for a one-off temporary solution.
