### 4/5 — One Trick Pony

*2013-12-03*

Image Straightener only does one thing, but it does it quite well.

### 4/5 — Please bring back incremental values

*2013-11-15*

This is one of my favorite apps that I recommend to all photographers, but the new update removed the incremental values (.1, .2, etc.) that used to show up when you tapped to straighten. That feedback is hugely important to users. Can you bring it back, please?

### 3/5 — Very efficient in what it is meant to do.

*2013-06-27*

This app is a no-frills, no-nonsense straightener. The only reason why it hasn't lasted long in my collection is that I have an obscene amount of editing apps, and many of them do this as well. If you do not however, I'd highly recommend it!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2012-07-27, version 1.0.7*

Love the option to adjust the degrees incrementally in addition to the slider function. Like previous reviewer said - if there was an option for back/white grid lines. App would be 5 stars

### 4/5 — Great simple to use straightener

*2012-01-13, version 1.0.4*

Great app does exactly what it states. .
Simple to use and well worth the price.
If it offered an option to change grid colours then would be five stars.

### 4/5 — Worthy Addition To Any Homepage

*2011-11-23*

User-friendly interface, smooth operation, universal app. It makes me want to check out more from this developer!

### 5/5 — Recommend!!

*2011-11-12*

Easy to use, preserve Exif, Good performance
It's Perfect!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2024-08-20, version 2.1.3*

The app only rotates the image clockwise or anti-clockwise. It does not straighten images. Please don’t waste your money on this app when you can do on the same thing on the Apple Photo app.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2018-04-20, version 2.1.2*

Doesn’t work for vídeos though states that it does.

### 1/5 — Does NOT straighten Video files!

*2018-01-23*

Do not buy if you're looking for an app to straighten Video files!

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2015-05-21*

This straightener does NOT work. I put in my photo, straighten it to perfection, hit save, and it only saves the original, crooked version. Boo!

### 1/5 — Image straightener

*2014-09-29*

Need an update for ios8...doesn't save adjusted photo.

### 1/5 — Ack

*2014-07-20*

If you are trying to rotate an image DO NOT BUY THIS.

### 1/5 — No good

*2013-07-08*

Very simplistic requiring you to rotate picture yourself. Therefore only slightly better than useless.

### 1/5 — The native photos DOES THIS BETTER in iOS5

*2011-11-12*

When you're viewing a photo in the native Photos app, click Edit (top right), then click the crop icon. With 2 fingers you can turn and rotate and straighten the photo. It's the same (but better) thing as this app.

### 1/5 — A waste!

*2011-11-08*

Somehow I got the impression this would do perspective control. It does not! The one thing it does can be done easily on numerous free apps. Don't waste your $2 or the memory.

### 2/5 — Huge disappointment with new update.

*2013-11-29*

My biggest complaint is that this app seems to be stripping my images of their metadata. Not good!

Second, please let me make more gridlines. I loved being able to put the line of whatever I'm trying to get straight right on any gridline. Not I can't do that.

Also, the app should open in a camera roll screen or make it more apparent of what to do right when the app opens. I always wait a couple of seconds waiting for something to come up saying something like "camera or camera roll".

### 5/5 — Image Straightner

*2014-11-30, version 2.1.0*

It does what it says on the can - straightens wonky photos. Very easy to use, gridlines to help you line up the horizon. Thank you for this.

### 5/5 — five stars

*2013-03-16, version 1.0.9*

five big stars ... a must have...but dont forget... you can also "tilt" or "cant the angle" of your picture!!! for some real drama!!!

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2012-08-29*

Simple, uncomplicated and does exactly what it says!!

### 5/5 — Does exactly what I need

*2012-07-06*

Best parts: 1. super granularity — tap the left/right buttons to rotate by a 10th of a percent. 2. Speed — saves images hella quick!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2012-06-21*

Excellent photo straightening app. Multiple very good controls including slider and micro fine tuning - both which apple's native photo editing app desperately need. Adjustable grid size is very helpful.

### 5/5 — Simple but Necessary!

*2012-02-11*

Quite simple app and very helpful to the photo edit. I found there is little app had such function. So I think it is quite useful and worthy being installed!

### 5/5 — Superb!

*2011-11-13, version 1.0.3*

This app does a great job. The most impressive thing is that it removes 'missing edges' created by other equivalent apps as a result of the rotated image no longer fitting perfectly into the available space; it does this by resizing the image automatically to fit the space. Recommended!

### 5/5 — Very useful — even if your other apps do this...

*2011-11-13*

At first, I looked at this & thought:

A: I have a bunch of apps that include straightening.
B: Apple's iOS5 built-in app does straightening now.

So who needs it? But Apple's straighten feature is actually quite fiddly- hard to control with precision. And I'm always switching between photo apps to do different effects, and some straighten; some don't. E.g. I like Red Giant's "Noir Photo," which doesn't straighten. I realized that it would be easy to always know to just pop out to this app for straightening, instead of remembering which of my editors du jour support it, and combing through dense interfaces to find it.

And this app has a KILLER interface for straightening- better than any I've seen before. There are actually FOUR ways to straighten-

1) Slider
2) Gyroscope-based tilting
3) Two-finger multitouch, like Apple's
4) Super-fine, tap-based incrementing

This is the first time I've felt 100% in (fine-grained) control of a straightening interface. You can even select how dense you prefer gridline guides to be.

So a big congrats to Mr. Andersson for this great app- it will be a mainstay of my iPhone photo workflow.

### 5/5 — Image Straightener

*2011-11-12, version 1.0.3*

I like this it just helps to straighten or make corners and walls stand upright when u weren't careful taking the photo. It works well. Thank you for an app that really does what it says.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2011-11-12, version 1.0.3*

Nice and simple app that gives very precise control. Other, more fully featured photo editing apps that come with image straighteners, do not give such precision controls as this app. And images are saved in their original resolution which is great. Get this while it's free.
