### 5/5 — ASCII art

*2020-04-28, version 2.1*

Very good! Reminded me good old days

### 5/5 — Excited

Yes

### 5/5 — A good app but....

*2018-02-14*

Needs a few minor adjustments to correct picture, as it looks like it has been shrunk, even worse when viewed in landscape. Apart from that, it’s exactly as described, highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Our Future

Comprehending the knowledge of society’s future web developers is quite impossible when looking at the sensational Liam Rosenfeld...can’t wait for more from this developer!!!

### 5/5 — Great App!!

*2018-01-01, version 1.0*

This app is super cool! I absolutely love seeing my images turn into symbols, letters, and numbers. I cannot wait to see more from this developer!

### 5/5 — Enjoyed this app!

*2018-01-01, version 1.0*

It was so much fun seeing which of my pics looked best made out of letters symbols etc. They look like some sort of cool line art. Good times playing with this app.

### 5/5 — Very cool!

*2017-12-31, version 1.0*

Two thumbs up, nicely done

### 5/5 — Great app! A picture...

*2017-12-31, version 1.0*

A picture is worth a thousand words... letters... numbers... symbols... something like that :)

Works best with vertical images and higher contrast. Having the iMessage extension is a pretty great feature to share your new creations with everyone you know!

### 5/5 — Very Fast and Fun!

*2017-12-31, version 1.0*

The app runs fairly lite and turns photos into ASCII art almost instantly. Very cool.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad

*2020-06-06, version 2.1*

Bad

### 1/5 — Stretches the photo in a weird way.

*2019-06-03, version 2.0*

I thought this was gonna be really cool... but it stretches every photo i throw in it. Is this user error or just the way the app is supposed to work?

### 2/5 — Great idea, works quickly, doesn’t save the details

*2018-09-09, version 1.1*

I tried to contact you directly but couldn’t find any way to. There’s no support under “app support” and your website doesn’t have a contact me page.
Anyway this could be such and amazing app and it’s incredible how quickly it works but if I want to save or share it, it falls apart.
When I save it as a jpg all I’m left with are grey and black smudges all the keystrokes and symbols are gone and when I copy it as text and paste it into either a notepad page or into an email it doesn’t format correctly and I’m just left with a bunch of lines of symbols and numbers that no longer make up my image.
With no instructions or tips or FAQ or settings or help menu or way to contact you this potentially great app gets cut off at the knees and that’s a shame. Hope you can help.

### 3/5 — Fun little app but needs work

*2025-07-11, version 1.0*

I tried saving it as a .txt file as offered in the save menu but it still saved it as .png. It does its job at converting pictures but when I tried to copy and paste to a Text Edit document it became distorted. This can happen if the font does not use the same spacing for all characters but even when I played around with the fonts and the view size I couldn’t get the picture to resolve correctly. It would help if it would save as text with an adequate line length (I think mine was wrapping) and evenly spaced font. It will save correctly as a .png file but the whole idea behind ASCII art is you can save it as text and see a picture. You also can’t crop to a select area.

### 4/5 — Very Good Results

*2023-07-27, version 1.0*

Just confused why copy from txt and paste - results are not as expected. Too distorted, not sure if wrong line feeds? When exporting as picture (PNG Format) looks great.

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2018-05-03, version 1.1*

I love the app, some photos work better then others
Perhaps there could be more options/settings?

### 5/5 — Love the app but

*2024-04-13, version 3.0.1*

Absolutely love the app I think it’s very fun to turn imagined into AcsII art but when ever I try to send it it kinda collapses it like the spaces just get removed destroying it please tell me how to fix it

### 5/5 — Funziona

### 5/5 — Unique

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — thanks

thanks

### 5/5 — bella!

*2022-06-19, version 3.0.1*

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2021-03-08, version 3.0*

I’ve had a ton of fun with this and have used it on a couple of projects that are going to bring a lot of joy to my friends and family. Thank you!

### 5/5 — This is an astonishing app!

*2020-11-28, version 3.0*

Not only is it faster than I would have believed possible, but the ascii pic is hi-res and will stand for a lot of enlargement. This is superb software. I don’t think you will be disappointed here.

### 5/5 — amazing!

*2020-10-21, version 3.0*

very quick ascii generation and it works perfectly! the sharing options are so convenient and don’t affect how the image looks. love it!!!
