Previously the only way to tell which film simulation you shot at was to import to a PC or try to find the pic of thousands in Fuji’s Xapp by scrolling.

This app allows you to share a photo and instantly see which simulation you used!

Ich bin zwar kein Profifotograf, aber selbst für einen engagierten Hobbyfotografen ist diese app eine Offenbarung an Informationen und Veränderungsmöglichkeiten der EXIF Daten. Und das Tolle eigentlich ist die Stapelverarbeitung. Einmal eine Vorlage anlegen, Fotos auswählen und ab dafür. Klasse.

Auf Anfragen über die offizielle Mailadresse kam ein: Mail delivery failed.
Da war anscheinend in der App noch eine falsche eMail hinterlegt.
Nach der Mail an die richtige Adresse war der Support freundlich und hilfreich. Das Problem konnte schnell geklärt werden.
Jetzt läuft alles rund.

Thomas completely and quickly addressed issues I found after purchasing (Sony ARW files would not open — now they do!). Early days but the app is working very well for me and very comprehensive EXIF extraction. 4/5 stars only because I would like to add GPS to raw files, and this app is not meant to do that. Maybe one day. Anyway, thank you Thomas for writing this app and dealing with issues personally!

Eine sinnvolle App, seit dem letzten Update jedoch bekommen ich bei jedem Bild die Fehlermeldung, dass die EXIF Daten bei einem PNG Bild nicht bearbeitet werden können. Somit ist bei allen Bildern kein „Privacy Share“ mehr möglich, auch nicht, nachdem in den Telefoneinstellungen „Maximale Kompatibilität“ als Dateiformat eingestellt wurde.
In der Vorschau steht als Dateiendung hinter den Fotos JPEG als Formatangabe, bitte beheben!

Zu dem Preis erhalte ich eine extrem umfangreiche EXIF Daten Bearbeitung. Toll! Einen deutschen Entwickler zu supporten, mache ich gerne! ABER ohne vernünftige Dokumentation fischt man bei den Funktionen im Trüben, leider ist die App weder selbsterklärend, noch sehr intuitiv zu bedienen... Also her mit einer Bedienungsanleitung, dann gibts die restlichen Sterne!

EDIT: der Support funktioniert! Der Entwickler hat meine zahlreichen Fragen beantwortet!

Mit dieser hervorragenden App lassen sich EXIF- und IPTC-Felder kinderleicht bearbeiten. Es kann auf Fotos aus der Fotos-App ebenso wie auf Dateien aus der Dateien-App zugegriffen werden. Vorbildlich!

Lange hat mit auf dem iPhone / iPad eine Möglichkeit gefehlt, auch die Ortsdaten von Fotos hinterlegen zu können, da ich noch viel mit „alten“ DSLR fotografiere und die noch kein GPS haben. Hiermit funktioniert dies auch aus Apples Foto-App heraus. Ohne Komplikationen. So soll es sein!

Gerade die App gekauft, nach den guten Bewertungen bin ich aber enttäuscht: Im Begleittext steht NICHTS darüber, dass keine RAW-Dateien verarbeitet werden können, es gibt nur einen Hinweis auf PNG-Dateien. So eine wichtige Info muss drinstehen!!!

Bilder öffnen aus Fotos funktioniert nicht. Nachdem ich Ein Bild anwähle und auf Hinzufügen drücke, werden keinerlei Informationen angezeigt. Woran liegt es?

I bought it hoping for a five star solution to my IPTC editing needs, with presets and batch editing. Unfortunately it neither saves  presets nor edits to the image for me. The process just stops there. It also appears so far that if presets could be saved, they would only save individual IPTC fields that were changed at the moment. I need to create full IPTC  templates (presets) for my job. Clearly, it was not intended to malfunction. Get this fixed and it could be a five star product. As for now it's unusable and a wasted purchase.  

There’s a huge need among professional photographers for an app like this to function similarly to Photo Mechanic (and not as an EXIF eraser as most of these apps are).

Here’s to hoping this gets fixed so I can use it, and revise my rating accordingly.  Thank you.

Positiv sind  die ausführliche Anzeige der EXIF-Daten sowie die Möglichkeit, durch setzen einer Stecknadel den Aufnahmeort zu markieren. Der Weg dahin ist aber mühsam. Zum Wählen des Fotos kann man unter Fotos (das ist die Mediathek) oder Sammlungen (das sind die Alben) wählen. Nach jeder Bearbeitung wird zunächst Fotos angezeigt, wobei man doch unter Sammlungen eher das Foto findet, was man bearbeiten will. Leider merkt sich die App auch nicht, in welchem Album man sich zuletzt befunden hat. Umständlich! Will man Metadaten ändern, so geht das nur mit mehrfachen Bestätigungen, die sorgfältig gelesen werden müssen. Besonders, wenn man mehrere Fotos geladen hat. Die Sinnhaftigkeit, mehrere Fotos exakt auf die gleiche Zeit einzustellen, erschließt sich mir leider auch nicht. Bei der Ortsangabe werden nur EXIF-Daten berücksichtigt. Sind nur Ortsangaben von iOS vorhanden, so kann man die immerhin als EXIF-Daten übernehmen. Da überhaupt nur EXIF-Daten bearbeitet werden, können Videos natürlich nicht bearbeitet werden. Wobei die unter iOS doch auch eine Ortsangabe haben. Schade!

Für mich war das ein klarer Fehlkauf. Glücklicherweise ist die App nicht so teuer…

I decided to purchase this app but found out that it does the same thing that my iPhone 7 will already do. And that is change the date and location. The problem is that apparently it does not actually change the order of the photo in the main recent gallery. That’s what I wanted to do.  

When saving and looking at the camera gallery, that is all photos, the saved image is in the same place it was originally. I wanted the image to be discovered at the location where a new date was edited. In other words, in date order.  

Anyone looking at the date could tell that The new date is not real.  I thought this app would have access to the actual date data that iPhone uses to order the images in the main gallery. I don’t care about the rest of the functions. There are quite a few of them but I don’t have much interest in them. They are superfluous for me.

It looks like I just wastedWe dollars and $3.99.

Could it be that you "rated" the wrong app here? A competitor of ImagExif behaves exactly as you describe.

This app here does significantly more than your iPhone can. If your iPhone can process over 40 individual EXIF data points without my app, your iPhone can do more than any other iPhone on the planet - congrats on that! :)

About your problem with the order in your gallery: There you succumb to a misconception - in the Photos Library the images are displayed in the order they are added to the library - NOT by the date you took it. You can only get your desired display order by clicking on "All Photos" in the Photos Library. There you can see that my app works absolutely right.
In all system libraries like datepickers etc., however, you have the first-mentioned display format.
So: In both of your described problems there is no error in the app.

If you want to call the price of a small café latte a waste, you can undo any app purchase in the app store. It can be read in the purchase confirmation emails from Apple :-)

I purchased it mainly to edit the exifs of the videos that I edit, but I was disappointed to see that you can only edit photos. The app is very good, but I will only give five stars when it is possible to edit videos too.

Hi, If in the Photos app of my iPad and my iPhone I search with the magnifying glass for keywords added from Photos on my Mac, it finds them without problems. But if I add keywords or descriptions from IMAGEEXIF, the Photos app does not recognize them and does not find anything.

Leider bekomme ich es nicht hin, den Namen des Bildes zu ändern. In der App selbst ist alles gespeichert. In der Photo-App auf dem Mac wird aber weiterhin nur „IMG_1234.HEIC“ angezeigt, kein Titel, kein Name, keine Beschreibung, kein Bildtitel, kein Schlagwort, gar nichts.

Änderungen in TIFF - Dateien werden gar nicht gespeichert, da steht dann dran „Fehler beim Speichern des Fotos“.

Gut ist, dass sämtliche sonstige Metadaten angezeigt werden.

Was looking for an app where I can edit the camera model as it was wrong and almost all apps say in app purchase but until you install it you don’t know how much and surprise it’s a overpriced subscription or $99. This app was straight forward $7.99 and it said it can change camera information.  The bad reviews I saw are because of user error not because the app doesn’t work.

I have been looking for something like this for while, as I am using my iPad Air more and more, particularly for scanned images of old photos. It seems to have everything I want including happily being able to read and edit image data both in file system folders and Apple Photos… This has solved a number of problems for me, thoroughly recommended!

Schon 2010 hatte ich das erste iPad unter anderem in der Erwartung gekauft, damit auf Reisen meinen Photo Workflow durchzuführen. Das war eine große Enttäuschung. Dabei wollte ich ja nur auf die Mitnahme eines Laptops verzichten um Photos zu importieren, selektieren, bearbeiten und danach Metadaten zu editieren incl. der Geodaten, um schließlich die Photos zu Hause auf den Computer zu übertragen. Lange war insbesondere die Bearbeitung der Metadaten nur ein Drama, häufig sind die Apps eine Einbahnstraße da sie die Photos nicht wieder in Apple Fotos abspeichern. 2017 fand ich dann MetaGear, womit dies möglich war, aber die App nervt mit häufigen Abstürzen und die Entwicklung wurde wohl eingestellt. Daher unternahm ich nach langer Zeit mal wieder den Versuch eine neue App für diesen Part des Workflows zu suchen. Totaler Reinfall etwas im AppStore zu finden, die Suchfunktion ist einfach nur schlecht. Dann hatte ich die Idee mal Copilot zu fragen, und siehe da, mir wurde diese App empfohlen. Gekauft, installiert, begeistert ist mein Resümee. Endlich hat mal jemand eine Software nicht nur geschrieben, sondern scheint diese auch selbst zu benutzen. Und sie funktioniert. Leider selten heutzutage. Das MMI ist klar strukturiert, auch ohne Handbuch kommt man sofort klar. Lobenswert ist auch, dass der Autor auf diese Abo-Unart verzichtet. Die Limits in der Anzahl gleichzeitig zu bearbeitenden Photos ist klar kommuniziert, ich glaube dem Autor einfach dass da ein Limit durch iPadOs besteht. Die Vorlagenfunktion ist praxisnah und eine große Hilfe! Was mir noch fehlt - sorry meckern auf hohem Niveau - wäre die Möglichkeit die Geodaten eines Photos auf andere zu kopieren.
