As one of a handful of lady golfers at our rural Club I have progressed slowly with much of what I have learned being through trial and error. I am immensely enjoying your inspirational thoughts and feel much more at ease on the course and more mentally focused. My initial handicap was 45 (the highest you were allowed back then) and I was so dreadful it took me an entire year to actually play to 45! My dreadful stableford scores of 8 or 14 or even 20 were met with applause and encouragement from our Club- the magical day I actually won a round was nothing short of amazing- my handicap is still high and at 62 it’s unlikely to drop much- last year I won the ladies Division 2 Club Championships Gross - my first Gross win. Tomorrow is day 1 of our two day Championships - I plan on winning again- I have the mental tools to do so.
