The application main feature is simplicity… Once the application is started, a free running meter is displayed that measures the distance between you (your iPhone's camera) and the object you are pointing to. You can also measure the height of this object. Without leaving your place you can measure the distance from a building, its height, the height of your daughter/son, etc. it is a cool tool that your iPhone should have! FEATURES: ○ Simple measure of the distance from an object with just pointing the cross on the screen to the BASE of this object ○ Measure also the height of this object by moving from its base to its vertex ○ You can add height offset from the base of the object you are measuring its distance and height. I have pointed the cross in the camera at door 3metres away and get distance readings of 18 to 20 metres. The App Store has a responsibility to test the products that they sell and make sure they work. Regards Ken ### 3/5 — Interesting way to measure! *2012-09-06* iMeasureDistance is a pretty unique app that uses the iPhone's accelerometer and camera to measure distance. You basically just point the camera at an object and the app will tell you how far away it is. You can help increase accuracy by including the iPhone's height from ground level. It is a nice way to get a quick estimate, but for serious and precise measurement, I would not recommend this app -- it is generally 10% - 25% off. The icons on the bottom of the screen seem a bit sloppy and unprofessional. The information screen is blurry and inconsistent with other text in the title screen. Also, the last screenshot could use an update. This needs some improvement, but I see a lot of potential here. ### 2/5 — good idea, bad execution *2012-09-05* the idea is very smart, however it was not delivered good. the app was very buggy and the controls were incredibly confusing. i think the developer needs to go back to the drawing board and take his time because this app was not very well designed.
