You don’t say how much it is to join or anything with the new one, just lock you out🤷🏻‍♀️. I feel the old version was easier to use and some of my favorite pictures are gone. Please explain your memberships clearly so people can understand and not just say membership expired and not be able to get in. It could be a great app if it was explained. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I Can’t Get My Phones Done !!! *2023-11-17* First, I had a lot of fun making photos with this app for years, but now I can’t get any of your frames, to work. I have tried using them and I get as far as hitting the frame and this app closes on me. I have never made any comments about any apps in the App Store, until now. I’m not fake, nor making this up (which I always thought these comments were). I just want to use this app for editing, but I can’t. There’s a lot of apps that I got from games, puzzles, social media, and so on, which I wish I hadn’t gotten, but imikimi, I expected more. It was the best (although I liked the first imikmi better, because I could just edit my photos and fix them), and I want it fixed so I can continue working with it again. I’m not texting that I’m not going to use this app, but I’m not going to give it five stars (right now, I’d give it negative stars), until this is fixed. I used to tell people how great this app is but now I’m just going to say the opposite thing. I’m frustrated, but if you fix this, I’ll be happiest person on earth. I hope you fix it soon, Thank You for reading this comment and I hope it wasn’t too long, but I had to vent !!! ### 1/5 — Where did my imikimi go? *2018-11-21, version 1.92.4* I purchased the original imikimi app. I upgraded my phone and synced my apps onto my new phone. I thought that was the problem since I haven’t used the app in awhile. So I deleted the app to reinstall and realized there’s a new version. Have I lost everything? Can my purchase be reinstated or am I expected to purchase your new version? I loved your first version and thought it was worth the purchase(I RARELY purchase apps). I will not however repurchase this app because you’ve revamped it. **Developer response:** The old App did die from old age.... its underlying software was 14 years old (older than smart phones!!!). The replacement is Zo Imikimi. Give it a try. All the basics are free, just as in the old (finding Kimi frames, adding your photo.... plus now you can add your own text in the App and make entire Kimi Frames from scratch in the App - which was never possible before). Hundreds if not thousands of user complaints on Facebook and other sites. And now after purchasing the original app they want us to pay to use their so called improved one? Any person who gets this useless piece of trash be warned, they lie to you. The app is a complete nightmare to use. Crashes, resets and you don’t even want to know what I think of the backward search and streaming... They said if you purchased the original app you wouldn’t get charged, I signed in to find I have 29 day free trial. They can take this app and keep it... 0 stars, 0 stars! They took a fantastic app that was ABSOLUTELY user friendly and made it a hot streaming mess. I simply want an app that allows me to make beautiful framed photos for my friends and relatives. I notice the new app has few users. The old app had thousands of users. Thanks to the developers for responding to my review, and I have learned how to make my Kimis private. If it can be made to be as user friendly as the old one, then it can be better. But right now, it is NOT user friendly at all. An addendum to my review. The app is now crashing every time I try to insert a photo. I have an IPad 9 that I just bought and I am hoping you can do something to fix the crashes. Your frames are the absolute best. **Developer response:** You can set your stream to private so that only you can see it. When creating a new stream, you can configure this under the options button. With an existing stream, go to any post in the stream and then tap the "..." menu to find the public/private option. Several time the app will not let me save the frame it says I have to be a member, now every month they charge my account so it should allow me to get any frame . The problem could be that I got the frame about a year then I start paying for it so they need to update my information because this happen all the time. Other than that I would give it 5 stars the do give you some months which is great, but I’m paying now so I shouldn’t have any problems. ### 4/5 — Usually I’m so in love with this app *2023-10-19* Today I had a problem loaning for the pictures I had a problem with adding photos to frames. While browsing through the streams, rather then having to follow the entire stream and try to find the one frame you liked for future use is very time consuming and by the time I find it back I forgot which picture I wanted to use it for. 😊 December 2, 2018. Still waiting for this feature. Hopefully you can implement it soon 😊 February 2020. Have you found a way yet, in which we can save individual frames and mark them as favorites? However, after my phone was updated to ios 17, I’m unable to add photos to the frames that the creaters provide. Whenever I tried to import a photo from my “photo gallery”, the app crashes. But it may be out! *2023-10-15* Why just show off pictures plain when you can jazz them up with great frames. I also love being able to put people together who are hardly ever together for a group photo. One of my favourite features which I just figured out is creating my own frames. I make calendars every year for the family , this years theme was Disney and each person chose their favourite character so if I couldn’t find a frame I created one...fantastic . Only problem I keep getting notes about membership and as I emailed you just can’t seem to figure out how to do that or why need to. UPDATE…Ever since I updated my iPad to iOS 17 and up the app crashes when I go to put pictures in. I did email and I understand that it’s to do with iOS update..the workaround is to use online. Well unless you can tell me how to keep the keyboard from popping up I’d love to know if you’re planning on updating the app I’ll have to downgrade my rating or delete app and as I love it..that makes me sad . **Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear you aren't satisfied with Imikimi Zo. All our categories are now integrated with search. Just go to the search screen and start typing and suggestions for categories will appear. Tap one to see kimis in that category. Further, categories are actually just #tags, so our artists, customers just like you, can create their own, new categories. We are no longer limited to the ~250 hard-coded into the old app. Though the new platform has some rough edges, it is much easier to fix and update.
