I’ve loved this app since I tried the Lite version years ago. I quickly upgraded to the Full version and used it regularly to find color equivalents across brands or for FS or RLM colors. Alas, while it still seems to function on iPad Mini, it lacks full functionality on iPhone. E.g, it no longer displays color equivalents for a given reference. Also, the paint databases don’t seem to be updated any longer: Mr. Color fluorescents don’t appear on the list, for example.  I miss full functionality as this was my go-to paint matching/mixing app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your report! The current release should display equivalences as expected. Your issue is probably due to a filter that is applied on the equivalence list. You can contact us at info@id6.ch so that we can help you resolve your issues. 
The paint databases will be updated and new ones will be added by the end of January 2023. We will also post a brand new release of the App (Full rewrite) during the year. Now that Apple new development tools have (at last) reached a correct level of stability and performance (while abandoning maintenance of older tools). This is the reason why we have been a bit caught in the middle. So stay tuned.

I'm changing my rating because I obviously didn't get the support thing right. I have now figured out some things and adjusted the app. It works better now, hope for the new promised version.

Im Großen und Ganzen eine brauchbare App. Leider fehlt eine Exportfunktion, um zB den Bestand als CSV ausgeben zu können oder aber vom iPad aufs iPhone zu übertragen. Auch gibt es keine iPad-Ansicht, nur dieses schon seit Jahren schlecht aussehende und Platz verschwendende iPhone-Ansicht auf dem iPad.
Gut ist die Funktionalität im Bereich Farben, das Einlesen von Barcodes ist Glückssache, selbst bei zB Tamiya.

The App is very good and I’m using more everyday. However I have paid for a full version but for my surprise you can add your stock to the app. You will need to buy it for an $7.99. I’m not happy with that. If you bought a full version of the App it should allow to add your stock. Otherwise it would be a 5 star for me.

**Developer response:** Hello, I'm sorry you dislike the fact to pay for the inventory feature.
The Inventory is an additional module because not every user (by far) needs it.
I'm also sorry for the confusion of terms. This is a problem linked to the history of the App. It was a true "Full Release" before we introduced the Inventory feature. We have renamed the App on the App Store to "Premium release" but the term hasn't changed on every store for some obscure reasons. However, the description of the App on the Store + the list of additional module is correct. We will resolve the issue with Apple with the Next Release.

Thought this app was good to start with but once i purchased the full app and started using it more all the problems come to light.

Scanner
1.doesn’t work half the time
2.scanning colours wrong.

doesn’t give much information on how to use most of the functions. Really needs to be made more user friendly

Help is available not only on the top screen but also on each screen by taping the help title. A lot of detailed information and tips are present there.
Please contact our support at info@id6.ch as we can help you find out what's wrong with the scanner and make it work as expected. There are no reason you could not use it easily as other users are happy with it.

Really good source of information and colour comparison. Problem is the scarcity of information on the apps features and how to use them.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review ! For your information, a full help is available by taping on each screen's title. It contains a contextual help for each noticeable item present on the screen as well as a textual help with a full description of main features available. Also a warning text is available to explain limitations on colours and mixing on those specific screens.

I think it’s dead, Jim. No updates in eight years. Seems to have never had the ANA colors added.

As above - quite a lot of money to spend if it is not going to be actively updated?

**Developer response:** Yes it will! A lot of changes has occurred in the Apple development environment this past years so we need to rewrite the App from scratch. We are terribly late because Apple old tools are not being maintained anymore (so we can't post old App updates anymore to our deep regret) while the new ones are not stable enough yet for our needs. We finally have started coding the new release but it will take some time. However, charts are being updated regularly and we will post new chart and chart updates soon.

This AP does nothing for kit inventory management. It’s not very user friendly either. In order to manage paint, you have to buy an additional module. Don’t bother!

I bought the full version of the app thinking there was finally a great way to inventory my paints so I could order missing colors. I need the catalog for Real Color. I have gone through every step over and over including getting a successful update but either I get a frame error, the system locks up or nothing loads. Very frustrated. I am using iOS 14.4.

**Developer response:** We are sorry you encountered issues with our App. This is impossible to give you proper support using the Review as it has a very long delay for answering/replying. So please contact us at info@id6.ch so that we can help you the best we can. The frame load Error is due to Apple preventing direct downloads from their Web browser for security reasons. The procedure indicates to use the "List" button that appears when the page has been fully loaded. This way you will be able to download the Real Colour charts. On iOS 14, you have to swipe up the sharing box to see the list on its whole and scroll. This is a backward compatibility bug from Apple.

Many of the colours referenced in the database are very out of date and are not listed in the manufacturer’s website. This makes this app almost unusable since you can get a good match online only to find that the number is either incorrect or the colour is not available.

Would be practical if they had Vallejo XPress Colors and other mainstream paint companies like Monument Hobbies and Green Stuff World. For the price I paid this is very disappointing

Leider fehlen von verschiedenen Hersteller, wie Hataka (alle Farbserien)und AK-Interactive (Real Color Serie), die Farben.
Auch mehr Sprachen würde ich mir noch wünschen.

**Developer response:** There are some rare issues coming when updating to some release of iOs13/iOs14. First, restart your iPhone 1-2 times. This cleans up some Apple internal caches that may cause some issues. If this does not correct the issue, please contact us at info@id6.ch so that we can help you. We are also working on a brand new release of iModelKit.

When I first downloaded this app it worked really well, however time gone on and it’s become difficult to use.

**Developer response:** We are sorry you experience issues with our App. Several random problems have been introduced with recent releases of iOs. We (as well as other companies) have posted tons of tickets to Apple to correct this. However, a device reboot, generally correct these issues. We are also working on a brand new release of iModelKit based on modern iOs APIs, but it takes time.

I use this exclusively for mixing paints - it can match every popular paint manufacturer out there and advise you as to the ratios to get that color right.  Having painted a wide array of jets of various nationalities - it saves me a ton of time and aggravation - a must have.  The developer is also very helpful in case you run into some difficulties.

It’s great and worth every dollar. Although I noticed it hasn’t been updated in 4years so maybe there isn’t more updates coming anymore but it would be great if you could add the createx Kline of paints.

Also, we use to update and add new charts regularly (about every 6 to 8 month). unfortunately there has been no more updates since 3 years... new paints like ak real colors are not listed. I’m looking forward for the release of the brand new version !

Got back into plastic modeling as I approached retirement. Boy how it has changed (for the better). The detail that is now available compared to 50 years ago is amazing. That is where this app really helps. The color and paint mixing is invaluable if your picky about color matching like I am. The description doesn’t give the app justice. You pick what color you want and then add what colors you have and it helps you figure the mix as close as it can get. Will add more as I use this app and learn more about it. 5 stars for now. Well worth the investment. I also added the inventory add. Not sure about it yet.

Having serious lockups on main screen with iOS 13.4.1.  I am unable to find update info as well.  I use this app often, until now.

UPDATE:  support promptly contacted me to help, and stars updated back to 5.

This App is without doubt the best companion App a scale model builder could  possess in their tool kit. 
 Just the paint catalog & mixing component alone is a thing of joy. 

If you build scale models then this app is a must have! 
 Would be nice if it included other fine model Material catalogs like from scalemotorsports carbon decals etc and such. Also if Zero Paints was profiled and cataloged. 
 Perhaps a decal template scaler addition? 

Thanks guys keep improving this app it’s brilliant. Well worthy of the cost. $$ it

So far so good. Just downloaded it today, but it’s starting to crash because it’s not really compatible with iOS 11. Other than that, it’s a pretty handy tool to check out paint swatches on the fly.

This app is not pretty or flash, but it provides some excellent information and resources. I hope the app team can be persuaded to tidy things up (e.g. proper Xtracrylix references) and keep it up to date, I would be lost without it.
