They reached out to me for subscribing to their monthly donation program (GEM), I agreed to do it when I could but due to my situation I couldn’t with my existing card and was willing to do it once I get back home and have my other card. They kept calling everyday trying to make me feel guilty about the delay and whenever I opened the app for even showing it to someone in that period, they would immediately spam in email and call me to sign up for donation. The whole experience was so frustrating, I have donated multiple times in past just directly to campaigns but after this incident I deleted my account. A humble request: please don’t get behind donors and annoy them. Donation is something which comes from willingness and not by pursuing someone until they do it. ### 1/5 — Scammers *2024-05-17, version 1.5.5* Scam!!! They start a subscription for you on their own and when you try to cancel the subscription they do not provide an option to manage subscriptions neither on web nor on in their app. Donated an amount of $50 got charged for a monthly $43 subscription instead. Tried calling the helpline number(from abroad) but cannot connect to the Indian number provided. Struggling to get it cancelled but no success yet. ### 1/5 — Helpful *2024-04-26* ImpactGuru app is an amazing platform for those who want to make a difference. With a wide range of causes to support and seamless donation processes, ImpactGuru truly empowers users to create positive change in the world. Highly recommended! ### 1/5 — Money minded organisation *2024-02-12* They say they are here to help people in need rather they exploit the need of people to make money by giving false promises. Everyday there charges and terms changes based on with whom you are talking. The sales and marketing team portrays a picture but nothing gets done rather they take money from the donations people do and people in need suffer to pay bills due to there tactics and all. ### 1/5 — Scam *2024-01-19, version 1.3* Scam ### 1/5 — It’s a Scam *2023-11-27* Bunch of scammers busy in scamming. Do not donate through impact guru otherwise you will regret. They will start by saying 0% fee then it will be 3% then again fee will be 10%, even after saying all these they will charge you more than you can imagine and in the end they aren’t going to pick your calls. ### 1/5 — Frauds *2023-09-13* Never donate through them. Once you donate, these losers unleash their salespeople to donate more and more. I even raised a ticket to wipe off my contacts and got a confirmation that they would never call but they keep calling after taking a short break. Multiple people have reported this behavior. You will regret donating through them. **Developer response:** Dear Ashutosh, our intent isn't to interrupt & we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. A number of people are in need & our focus as a platform is to help people meet their medical financing needs. This is why we reach out to people and request donations, in order to seek help for sections of the population who may not have the means to access life-saving treatment. However, since you do not wish to be contacted, your request has been actioned. We appreciate your patience! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — IT’S A TRAP *2026-01-07* This donation is a trap, once you get in, no way to come out, they will keep adding you to various causes with justifying reasons and finally if you want to stop any donation, they say the app doesn’t support and you need to talk to your bank ### 1/5 — Crashes in every option *2025-11-25* Such apps should be removed from play store. Except the homepage, you can’t go anywhere. Donation history crashes, accessing 80G crashes, accessing form 10 crashes. Who built it? A friend's 23-year-old brother has been on a ventilator, and throughout this tough time, this scam has been a constant source of trouble. They received nonstop calls, with attempts to deceive and sell, only adding to their pain. So now, I am trying to discontinue, but I can’t able to do because there is no way to find to cancel my monthly payment subscription. And also I tried to call them, but it’s saying that number is not responding. If someone know that how can I cancel auto payment subscription.
