We're excited to introduce Version 2.0 of the IMPedia application, packed with enhancements and
new features designed to improve your experience in and outside the operating room. Here’s what
you can expect in this significant update:

NEW: Competence-Based Assessments in the OR
Execute Assessments Seamlessly: With our newly integrated module, you can now perform
competence-based assessments directly in the operating room. These assessments, planned on the
IMPedia web application, are now fully executable within the iOS app, ensuring a smooth and
efficient process for evaluating technical and non-technical competencies in a sterile real-world
setting.

IMPROVED: Intraoperative View
Enhanced Next Step Preview: We've upgraded the intraoperative view to not only preview the next
step but also to display detailed information about the materials and instruments needed. This
enhancement ensures that you have all the necessary info at your fingertips, minimizing disruptions
of the surgical flow and enhancing efficiency during procedures.

Bug Fixes
Smoother Operation: We’ve squashed several bugs that were impacting user experience and app
performance. Thanks to your feedback, we've identified and resolved these issues, paving the way for
a smoother, more reliable experience.

### 1.8.0 — 2023-02-23

To assure a lead surgeon’s participation in an operation, we developed the decrypted Surgeon PIN functionality. You now have the option to lock your planned operations by defining a PIN that needs to be entered after the material and OR preparation steps and before the start of the operation.
This is optional, but will assure that the surgeon who planned the operation is actually taking part in it. If there is an exceptional situation, or it is inconvenient to enter the PIN before the operation starts, your team can skip the PIN to not block the operation, but you’ll have to approve the skipping of the PIN after the operation in the OP history section to be able to send out the report. 
Go to IMPedia Settings on iPad or the Web and start protecting your planned operations.   

We further improved UI in the OP history section and fixed some minor bugs.

Also, we addeed the ‘Contact Us’ functionality in Settings General section.

Dear users of the Nodus software

The Nodus application is now called IMPedia - nothing will change in the existing functionalities and its member area.
The IMPedia software (formerly "Nodus") is maintained and further developed on behalf of the association "Institute of Medical Procedures" based in Bern, Switzerland (UID number: CHE-187.867.378). The purpose of the association is to advance the quality and safety, as well as the effectiveness and sustainability of medical treatments. To do so, the collective knowledge of medical professionals, together with scientific evidence and best practices, will be made available globally to improve the health and lives of patients on a neutral, objective and transparent basis.

### 1.6.1 — 2022-07-25

WARNING:

Due to major changes, installing version 1.6.0 over previous ones will force log out. As a result, all ongoing operations will be lost. Please open the app and finish these ongoing operations (with internet connection, so they can be saved to the cloud) before installing 1.6.0 version. You can see whether you have any ongoing operations in Dashboard on bottom right side - if there's a play icon there, all elements listed after pressing the play icon are not completed and can be lost. Upgrading from 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 will not remove your data.

NEW FEATURES:

1) You’ll be receiving notifications from this version on out if there are still unfinished operations after >24 hours. Keep in mind that only after you completely finish the operation it'll be shown as completed in web and iOS. These notifications should help with managing these unfinished ones. Additionally keep in mind, that you can list all ongoing operations in the Dashboard on Resume button (bottom right part of the screen).
What is more, there will be a counter of unfinished operations on your app icon in home screen.
Keep in mind to always finish your operations, so that they never disappear (in case of stolen/broken device, bug or log out).

2) In Library module, you can now preview all templates without the need to start operation. All operation steps, briefing info, tables & materials, team-time-out and sign out lists are available here. This should allow you to quickly browse which template is the best candidate for your needs. Quick reminder, that on the web you can enter many more details (like patient risks etc) during the planning part, so start operation without planning from iOS library only in case of emergency.

3) During operation there is a custom & new attachment viewer, so you can now navigate multipage PDFs more easily, watch videos in loop and zoom in and -out on images. Their navigation with foot pedal or remote (extra D action - zoom in / pause-play / swap PDF page) is now also hinted at in the middle section of the very bottom of your screen.

4) We moved Sign Out away from the Debriefing tab and dedicated an independent tab after intra-op section for it. For Safe Surgery reasons, we also made checking each Sign Out question mandatory to be able to properly finish the OP.

5) We made some minor UI changes, e.g. intra OP section now only previews one attachment to free up space. Step title and details can now also extend to more than one line. Ongoing operations are highlighted with a red dot in the Dashboard.

6) In the Profile/Settings we added a better user image capturing (crop & filters) experience.

BUGS & FIXES:

1) There were major maintenance changes, including faster database, what leads to force log out on installing this version.

2) We improved a lot of UI elements, including some icons, texts or UI elements.

3) We fixed a lot of bugs, including some crashes. The app should be even more stable now.
