## What is Imperfect?

Imperfect is a training coach for runners, cyclists, and triathletes. It's built for the imperfect ones: athletes with a job, kids, a trip next week, a night of bad sleep here and there, and a goal they still mean to hit.

Pros never have to sort out their training alone: someone rebuilds their week every time a cold, a work trip, or a sore calf gets in the way. Imperfect gives you that coach. Tell your coach what you're working toward, whether it's a first 10K, a century ride, or a long-course triathlon, and together you land on a goal that fits you and a plan to get there. A rough week changes the plan and leaves the goal alone, with no guilt and no starting over. And when what you want to do and what your body can do don't match, your coach says so.

What that looks like:
• Checks the forecast before sending you out on a long ride into a thunderstorm
• Reworks your week after you stay up late at a friend's wedding
• Tells you how many tacos it takes to hit your protein after a long run
• Suggests a power nap at the right time of day when you're running on fumes
• Builds your training around your yoga and physical therapy
• Makes room for a new baby or a puppy

Your plan works with or without a watch. Connect Apple Health and your coach also sees how you slept and what you actually did, whatever watch or band you wear.

*2026-07-02*

Finally a fitness app that works around MY life
Tracks my daily goals, adjusts my workout based on how I'm actually feeling, and the AI assistant always has a solution when I need one. No gym, no trainer needed — just real, personalized fitness.
Highly recommend! 🙌

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2026-07-02, version 1.4.4*

I love this app so much. I’ve always wanted to start running and training for a 5k but I never knew where to start! This app is honestly so perfect for that! It tailors the training plants to YOUR needs and wants! If one day you’re feeling a little tired, you can tell the app and it will modify the plan to fit your body and schedule. It is so user friendly and u would encourage everyone to try!

### 5/5 — Keeps me consistent

*2026-07-02*

Imperfect has genuinely changed how consistent I am with my running goals. I have a busy schedule, but the app adapts to my real life instead of expecting everything to go perfectly. The reminders keep me accountable without feeling pushy, and the workouts are practical and easy to fit into my day. I’ve gone from struggling to stay consistent to actually looking forward to my runs. It feels like having a coach that understands life doesn’t always go to plan. Highly recommend!

I have been using this for quite some time now. I am currently in my pregnancy journey and this app has helped me feel so much more organized and comfortable. I don’t have to worry about what I need to do each day. I just put in my goal and I tell the app how I’m feeling or anything else it may need to know, and it curated the perfect plan for me. ## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.1 — 2026-10-09

What's new:

• A new Profile: choose whether your coach reaches you in the app or in a chat, and see the accounts linked to your training in one place.
• Been training with us a while? Opening the app or tapping your goal card now takes you to your coach to set your next goal, with no event search first.
• Open your settled goal straight from a voice conversation, or tap the voice button to keep talking by text.
• Apple Health now shows when it is connecting, including while it checks for your watch.
• Your goal's picture now shows where you are today, even when you're starting most of it from zero.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-10-08

What's new:

• Set your goal with your coach, out loud or by typing, and see it take shape as you talk: its name, its date, and its picture, with what each of you said in captions.
• Every goal you settle gets its own page with the picture of what the goal asks and where you are today, plus a Get my plan button to start training toward it.
• Revise your goal whenever you want, and a conversation you leave halfway picks back up when you come back.
• A new first run: your goal comes first, then Apple Health, your watch, and notifications, and you can say not now to any of them.
• If the microphone is off, your coach switches to typing.
• A cleaner Today screen and a smoother wait while your plan gets ready.
• Been training with us a while? Opening the app or tapping your goal card now takes you to your coach to set your next goal, with no event search first.

### 1.5.5 — 2026-09-30

What's new:

• Set your goal at imperfect.co, open the link on your iPhone, and the app already has it. You see the goal, the picture of where you are against what it asks, and the week it asks for, then tap Start training to keep going.
• The welcome picks up from the goal you brought, so you don't have to say it twice.
• Already training with a goal and bring another one from imperfect.co? Whether the app was open or closed, it shows you the new goal, asks which one comes first, and your coach plans your day around your answer.
• Your goal lives on this phone, so reinstalling the app brings it back with nothing to sign in to, and setup picks up from it instead of asking for it again.
• Setting up from a goal asks for one thing: Apple Health, where your watch and your phone already put what they record. Turn it on and your week gets built around your sleep and your training.
• The Apple Health step has a simpler look, a Link Apple Health button, and a reminder to turn on every permission so your coach sees the whole picture.
• If Apple Health shows Garmin Connect or COROS, the app asks once to link that account too, with one button for each, so your coach also sees recovery, sleep stages, and heart rate variability.
• You can skip all of that and keep going. Your plan works without a watch.
• Home says what your goal is asking for, whether it has a race day, a date, or weeks of keeping it up.
• Once setup ends, your day arrives a piece at a time: your goal, your coach's question, then the day's cards.
• Chat with your coach on WhatsApp: after you send a message, the app offers to take the conversation there, and if connecting doesn't work, it tells you what happened.
• Connections lists your coach next to your watches and apps, so you can set up WhatsApp there any time, and turn it off from the same place.
• The WhatsApp shortcut at the top of Home shows up once you've connected your coach there, and not before.
• Coming back from WhatsApp, the screen that confirms the link has a fresh look, and an expired link offers to send another message right from there.
• Garmin and Apple Health now show their own icons in Connections.
• A link you tapped but haven't finished using is no longer kept in your phone's backup.
• Whether you open the app from a link someone sent you or from a goal you set on imperfect.co, the private code in that link now goes to Imperfect and nowhere else.
• Pinch a notification's image to zoom in, and drag to look around while you're zoomed. Double tap fits it back.
• Fixed a spot in setup where the app could get stuck on a loading screen after the step that asks about you and your goal.
• Home shows your app version.

### 1.5.3 — 2026-08-25

What's new:

• Pinch a notification's image to zoom in, and drag to look around while you're zoomed. Double tap fits it back, and the next image you open starts out whole.
• Fixed a spot in setup where the app could get stuck on a loading screen after the step that asks about you and your goal. Swiping back on that step no longer strands you there.
• Cleaner writing throughout the app. We read every line a person can see and rewrote the ones that sounded stiff or off.
