## What is ImpulseLog?

ImpulseLog helps you put a pause between an impulse and checkout, and turns the decisions you record into visible progress.

Most budgeting apps explain where money went after it is gone. ImpulseLog helps earlier: when you want something and need a simple next step.

Log an almost-buy, use a wait timer, plan a shopping trip, record an intentional purchase, and review the patterns you choose to track. Built for ADHD and neurodivergent minds, and useful for anyone who wants a calmer relationship with impulse spending.

PAUSE BEFORE CHECKOUT
When the urge feels urgent, use Impulse Rescue or a wait timer to create space before deciding. No shame and no demand for a perfect answer.

TRACK THE DECISION
Record saved, bought, or pending choices in seconds. Add optional notes, mood, place, category, or whether the purchase felt needed, uncertain, or skippable.

MAKE PROGRESS VISIBLE
Review recorded avoided spending, streaks, XP, achievements, milestones, and daily challenges. These are records you create; ImpulseLog does not move money or guarantee savings.

SHOP WITH A PLAN
Use reusable shopping lists and shopping sessions to decide what you are there for before entering a store or opening a shopping app.

POINT WINS TOWARD GOALS
Assign recorded avoided spending to a goal only when you choose. “Allocated” means assigned in ImpulseLog. “Secured” means you confirmed the money was moved or protected.

### 5/5 — The app I needed to make me pause before making impulse decisions at checkout!

*2026-07-15*

Most budgeting apps I have tried show me what I already spent when the money is already gone. This app gives me a useful practice I have now integrated into daily life and can do before I buy. I love that I can input what I’m considering, put it on a wait timer, and get the satisfaction of seeing the money I didn’t spend because I paused, and how those savings build toward a goal. It’s quick, easy to use, and has really helped with my ADHD without being complicated or judgmental. Impulse purchases were where I really struggled to stay on budget, and integrating this quick use app into my habits has already been making the money I’ve saved add up. Genuinely worth trying, five stars all the way!

### 1/5 — Broken.

*2026-07-13*

It’s beautiful in theory but I was only able to use it once before it broke and a recurring error pops up. It won’t reload and it’s been 2 weeks since it started. I’m so glad I didn’t spend any money on it.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for noticing this! This is now fixed! You should have no errors going forward!

Thank you so much for your review to help us build the best ADHD financial app we possibly can!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2025-10-24*

From a notorious impulsive spender this app has made me less impulsive. Seeing 5K$ I didn’t spend last month because this app made it more impulsive to save. Best budgeting app I’ve used to date.

### 5/5 — This app has really helped me realize how much I’ve wasted on impulse purchases and helped curb it!

*2025-10-24*

After getting used to using it in my regular routine, this has really helped me be more conscious of and thoughtful of unneeded spending all while visually keeping track of how much I’ve saved by logging skipped purchases.

I love that there are daily small challenges to help contribute to the gamified aspect which are like milestones of how well you’ve been doing. The ability to cumulatively see how much you’ve actually saved by avoiding unneeded purchases is great alone, but I also like the ability to “put it in the bank”/setting aside money you saved from not buying many impulse purchases to a bigger more substantial goal.

The app seems very sturdy without any major bugs and by sorting your mood on spending day to day then seeing how you did over the month is strong reinforcement and encouragement to keep you convinced that you can stop wasting money and keep saving for the important things in life.

I HIGHLY recommend this app to anyone who wants to save money and be more plugged into where their “missing money” went.

Try it out!
