## What is In Progress?

IN PROGRESS — LOCAL AUDIO PLAYER. Pay once. Own it forever

Every session leaves a trail of files — demos on your phone, sessions from your DAW, references sent over WhatsApp, ideas recorded at 2am. They're everywhere. In Progress is where they all live

YOUR FILES, ONE PLACE. Import from anywhere: Files, iCloud Drive, WhatsApp, AirDrop, Voice Memos, Finder.
Share any video from the Photos App, and we extract the audio automatically — no extra steps.
Organize with playlists and folders, nested however you think. Sort by name or import date

BUILT FOR PLAYBACK: A manual queue - Add any track on the fly, drain it, keep going.
Loop one track, loop all, or shuffle.
Full lock screen and headphone controls.
Beautiful, tactile interface built for daily use.

SHARE YOUR MUSIC: Send any playlist to another In Progress user via AirDrop — everything travels together, the playlist and every file inside it — no cloud, no account, no internet.
Just tap, and it's there.
Works with iMessage and WhatsApp too.

KNOW YOUR MUSIC: Detect the musical key of any track instantly — no internet, no upload, processed right on your device.
Need to match a reference or play along in a different key? Transpose any track offline, semitone by semitone. The original file is always preserved. Revert anytime.

FOR PRODUCERS: Unlock Producer Tools in Settings to go deeper.
On the player, swipe the controls left to reveal a second page built for serious listening.
Set an A/B loop section with a long press on the scrubber — lock any passage and repeat it until you own it.
Control playback speed from 0.5× to 2×, with pitch preserved. Hold to reset to 1×.
Everything happens on your device. No internet. No cloud. No waiting.

NO SUBSCRIPTIONS. NO ACCOUNTS. NO INTERNET. EVER. Your music lives on your device. Not in someone else's server. Not behind a monthly fee. Download once, own it forever — today, tomorrow, and in ten years.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-07-24*

This is a great app that does exactly as advertised and does it well. I also really appreciate the updates that have been coming along ❤️

### 5/5 — Simple but invaluable app

*2026-06-26*

Everyone knows you gotta listen to your mix in your car and through your bad headphones to make sure it’s decent. Before this app that process was sorta a pain, now it’s so smooth. I love being able to write notes on tracks too and to share my mixes natively through the app!

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-04-14*

I have been searching for an app that does what this app does for a very long time.

Simply downloading files makes them visible to the app, and it’s easy to add them. I wish the folder management was easier to understand - when I add files I wish they would automatically create a new folder instead of adding them to my current folder. But most likely I just need to dive a little deeper into the app info.

Still - make no mistake, this is a killer app, super helpful for musicians like myself who are evaluating mixes and masters. And now Car Play!

### 5/5 — Does exactly what it says and does it well

*2026-04-10*

I was recording tunes, getting final wav files, then listening to them on my phone one at a time via the files app…or importing them into my Apple Music library which became a mess. This lets me create simple preview versions of my releases and listen wherever I want. Chefs kiss!

One idea: I feel like the Projects tab should be on the far left and that should be where playlists live? I primarily listen to projects as playlists…

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and for the feedback! I also primarily listen to projects as playlists. I will rethink the Folders/ Playlists UI. Right now, the main page is the "Projects" menu, where All Files live, because that way people get to see what they have just imported - personally, that gives me assurance that the import was done successfully when I import from third parties like Whatsapp or the Photos app. At least that was the logic behind it. I'll try to make it more intuitive.

### 5/5 — I hate apples’ file system

*2026-04-06*

This solves a niche problem I never thought I would see solved, and the interface looks great. Best $2 I’ve spent; praying this app doesn’t go anywhere. You are doing gods work here.

### 5/5 — Bees knees

*2026-04-01*

This is exactly what I wanted after putting music on the streams. I just wanted a place I could hear my tunes whenever I wanted in a playlist. But everyone and their dog hears stuff on the streams. I wanted my dog to get excited bc he only heard me. So a local suppository made sense. That’s what this app is.

**Developer response:** Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm thrilled to hear the app is exactly what you were looking for! I noticed you gave it a 1-star rating despite the glowing review. If that was a mistake, would you mind updating the stars? It would help an independent developer like me a lot! Cheers and enjoy the music.

### 5/5 — In Progress, Tha’ Bomb!!

*2026-03-23*

The app had me at “No Subscriptions, No Fees, Pay Once, Local Audio, Yours Forever!” Then, I actually OPENED the app. Oh. My. Metronome! This app is simple, beautiful, and awesome!

If this is just the first incarnation of the app, I can’t even imagine what it’ll look like/do a year from now! As a musician who is also into creating/keeping/experimenting with my own saved files, this app is a dream come true!!

Purchase to support the Dev’s dreams as he works to support YOURS! This is the way the TRUE Indie Music scene was meant to be!

Dreams…In Progress.

**Developer response:** I'm really glad to hear that!! I'll keep working on it and updating/ improving your experience! Really appreciate your review! Thank you so much!
