The button is pressed but I have to click and uncle just it to get the sound to turn off after every level. For the people complaining about not knowing how to move the tiles or to rotated, they have arrows on them that shows you how you can move them (rotate, move sideways, move upwards/downwards, etc.) Also, the items you win don’t necessarily do anything. They are so you can switch the item from a bone to a ball and etc and use different breeds of dogs. It’s fun to switch it up! Well worth the $2.99 to play :) ### 4/5 — Have fun! *2018-06-09* While there’s nothing insanely innovative, the puzzle experience is tight and enjoyable. The dogs are charming and the art style does not complicate the puzzles. A wonderful, zen, adorable experience. In future updates I would love to see new levels (maybe outside?), customizable dogs (build your own dog with features you unlock by completing puzzles), and a level editor. It is very counterintuitive and takes all the fun out of solving the puzzles. There is also no help text or anything explaining how pieces move or work. What I have a problem with is that the game changes the visual focus frequently, zooming in on an area when you have to see the whole screen to consider what you’re going to do. It literally gets in the way of gameplay; why would you even add that feature? It’s so frustrating. So, three stars. One for cute puppies, one for the sliding/rotating mechanics, one for the simple rules. But it’s hard to play if you can’t consistently see the screen! ### 3/5 — Not Enough Levels *2018-06-14* Other reviewers who complain about the lack of instructions just aren’t paying attention. What you need to know is there. Some of the levels are really challenging, but that’s the point of the game! My complaint is that I paid $3 for a game that only lasted me about 3 days. I would love if there was an option to give a hint or a bit of guidance though, because while trying to figure out a level by playing through it is fun and satisfying there have been some moments where I’m completely stuck and feel like I’ve tried everything to no avail which can be frustrating. Overall it’s a great puzzle game and pretty addicting. ### 4/5 — SHOOB *2018-06-12, version 1.0.0.2* If you enjoy sliding puzzles and dogs, this is worth checking out. I also recommend it if you like the original. Pretty much all (as far as I remember) of the original browser game’s levels are there, but rearranged and with ten extra levels interspersed throughout. The difficulty curve kind of goes all over the place, but I like it that way...some easy challenges mixed with the more hard thinking ones. There’s a new piece added to the mix that wasn’t in the original and a couple of minor changes such as being able to push blocks with one another (I think?) along with the moves counter being removed, which allows for the gameplay to be a little less stressful. :P Most of the unlockables are pretty cute...the items don’t really make sense to be in the kitchen but I guess they’re fine. I love the Nitrome cameo and the changes in scenery throughout the levels. The only thing I don’t really like is the ambient sound. It tends to be a bit on the loud side. The snoring, rain and cricket night sounds feel unnecessary and are often distracting particularly in later levels. I do turn off the sfx, which is a shame because the rest of the sfx (dog walking, elevators, barking, blocks moving) are fine. It’s just the 3 second loops of cricket noises, rain and/or dog snoring cutting into the music that feel superfluous. The background music is sufficient enough for the mood. Aside from that, I appreciate a Nitrome port I can take on the go. I feel like I got my money’s worth.
