## Most critical reviews (6 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam - Just buy the Incoterms Book

*2023-07-26*

Just a way to get your information to begin marketing a sale to you. If you’re interested in an overview, just hit the Wikipedia page or a Reddit group. This is a data harvesting app.

### 1/5 — Incomprehensible.

*2020-11-26, version 1.3*

Incoterms are a complex subject, so what more could you hope for than an easy to use app from the people who look after them.

Unfortunately it’s completely rubbish, offering brief and incomprehensible one line descriptions of each term, along with lots of useless functionality.

Google will serve you much better I’m afraid, if you can see your way through to contradictory advice you’ll find absolutely everywhere.

### 1/5 — Incoterms App has no definitions

*2019-11-19*

The Incoterms App is just a sales tool for marketing their book and trainings. Other than a simple listing and a diagram or two of the 11 Incoterms Rules there is no actually definitions of sellers or buyers responsibilities. No real value.

### 3/5 — Slow and unresponsive

*2019-11-19*

Great app idea but extremely slow and unresponsive on my iPhone 8.
Sometimes I have to press buttons 10 times before anything happens on the screen and then it freezes up anyway.

### 5/5 — Useful guide to have in an app

*2022-08-21, version 1.9*

There’s a lot of misunderstanding and misuse of Incoterms (R) as the content of this app states with only 15% of users using the correct rule.

One feature I think would make this even more useful is to be able to simulate a particular import/export transaction including mode of transport and/or a quiz to show the impact of choosing the wrong rule.

### 5/5 — Equivalent to the ICC’s Incoterms Pocket Guide

*2019-12-20*

Rated 5 to counterbalance the rating of 1, which I believe is unwarranted.

This is a useful app. Yes, it also refers to and links to the ICC’s Incoterms products that cost money. However, that is clear from the description and is to be expected.

This app is essentially the electronic version of the ICC’s Incoterms Pocket Guide, which cost something like €5 for a five-pack. The descriptions of and drawings for the various Incoterms provide their basic allocations of risk & costs.

The app doesn’t provide the detail or nuance of the Incoterms Rule Book. Neither does the Pocket Guide (nor the Poster).
