Would love to play it for real. ### 4/5 — Very Interesting *2015-07-10* I love the concept and it's pretty fun to play each level with a new form to master. However, in sandbox, it isn't explained how to create joints for the limbs, I had to figure it out. ### 3/5 — READ THIS *2014-06-22* This game is amazing, but I let my little brother play with it and the game just completely broke. The creature that you play as was stuck on the screen. You could look around but it stopped moving and you couldn't press pause to exit that level. Id didn't work even after i went and stopped it in multitasking. It is really fun and can be silly at times! But the one thing that takes away from this is the lag. I find that this game is really laggy consistently. Bummer ### 2/5 — Exercise in Frustration *2013-12-12* I guess I was expecting something different - more akin to World of Goo in that the levels would require creating a unique creature to solve the puzzle. Instead the creature is premade and unalterable, and the only control the payer has is the movement of it, which is basically limited to controlling two muscle groups. This means the whole game boils down to trying to make the creature do what you want despite the frustrating controls. This isn't fun, and it certainly isn't a problem-solving puzzle game in the same way that others with a similar look are. It looms good and there's a lot of character to the game, but the gameplay doesn't live up to the design. Needs a omelette rewrite to allow more of this "sandbox mode" as part of the gameplay. ### 3/5 — Good game, some glitchy graphics. *2013-12-10, version 1.70* Fun game, but the waving grass effects are glitched out. Would not recommend. ### 4/5 — Exceptional game spoilt by obtrusive UI *2013-12-01, version 1.70* This game is outstanding (think bad piggies with body parts instead of machinery) and the artistic style is wonderfully grotesque but it's all ruined for me on many levels where the HUGE and opaque panel which holds only two buttons, restart and options, is often right in the centre of the screen obstructing view of my creature and the obstacle it's trying to overcome! ### 3/5 — Keeps crashing *2013-11-29* I had to reinstall this app many times because the title screen would not show up. I tried restarting the app but did not work. The level editor is very fun and also the character creation. Many people think this game is bad because it gets repetitive but they do not try all the features. Playing with the sandbox is fun so you can build your own creature but I couldn't figure out how to build my own creature when trying to beat the levels, which if it's not possible is a bad game design decision and if it is and I couldn't find out how it's probably an interface design problem. Definitely less front story and more instructions are needed at the beginning. But worse than that, the game doesn’t operate as specified. I.e, when I follow the instructions to change the creature by tapping and dragging, nothing happens. If you are creative, this game can provide endless fun. There is a level editor with endless possibilities, and any level, official or your own creation, can have countless solutions. It strikes a good balance between a puzzler and a platformer. It is a puzzler in the sense that you have to figure out how to solve the level, but it doesn't hurt your brain, and there are many possibilities. You can also control your creature to the finish, past obstacles, and collecting things along the way, appealing to people who like plat formers. The levels are similar, but most are challenging, and you can always create your own level. If you are stuck, you can always skip a level or two. There are tons of levels they give you, and the level editor provides unlimited possibilities. If you are a person who is creative and likes the sandbox-esque creativity in creating creatures, you will love the game and it will last for a long time. Picture a plat former where you can design fully the character you control. That is incredipede. If you finish a level and don't know how to get all the stars, there are solutions made by other players available, and you can upload your own. Overall, a great looking and fully polished puzzle/plat former that doesn't Make your head hurt and has endless possibilities. The normal levels provide a great physics creature challenge. The hard levels expand on that, allowing you to assist in the construction of your creature. While the game has had a rough start due to various launch/load bugs, I have to hand out praise for the support the app has been given.
