## What is Incremental?

When we were kids and class was dull we would play this pointless game. Clearing the memory on our calculators we would tap the number one and then with an exchange of glances we would hammer away discreetly at M+ whilst our teacher droned on about glaciation or Shakespeare or whatever. On a good run, forty five minutes of geography could get a dedicated tapper to fifteen thousand. We nicknamed it "Incremental" and although it was barely a game - in fact it sucked - it passed the time and for us that was what counted.

Incremental for iPhone, iPad and iPod is a reincarnation of this original 1980s time waster as a multi-touch visual feast. You tap and your score increments along with the time you have spent playing. Like the original Incremental it is barely a game, but a game it is and at the same time its a wonderfully diverting and beautiful time suck.

When I go in it, it just pops out immediately so that I can’t play. I don’t know if it’s the app that has a bug or it’s only a problem with the iPad or with the WiFi.

I downloaded this game yesterday and just couldn't stop playing it, though it's pointless, it is fantastic, easy to play (after you figure out the controls, swipe left for the menu) but after that, it is just amazing.
