Unfortunately, the difficulty level is highly skewed. I love playing TDs and feel I'm pretty good at them. I enjoy figuring out what different tower cobos work best for a given level, etc. I've had this game a long time and only looked at it now and then. Having just finished playing another TD that required ridiculous amounts of grinding to progess, I decided to move on to Incursion and figured I'd go with the easy difficulty for a more relaxing experience, at least to start. I was inpleasantly surprised to find that even the "easy" levels weren't easy to win. Then why in the world call it easy? I enjoy a challenge but this game is getting ridiculous. I've beaten 13 levels and now am stuck on 14. I can't tell you how many times I've played it without success. I can make it to the last wave and then bam! that's it. I don't want to waste a ton more time doing a bunch of grinding to get the few measly coins or experience points needed to upgrade my hero further so, if I can't beat this level soon, I'll be moving on. It is quite disappointing because I'd be a huge fan iof the game if it was more balanced. ### 2/5 — Way too difficult. *2017-10-29, version 1.827* Way too difficult. I loved it on desktop and played it for years, but difficulty has been AMPED UP on mobile version to the point it’s just frustrating and you want to delete it to make room for games that are playable. Even on easy, it’s not win-able. Developers, you only hurt yourself when you do this. We could have had a great mobile relationship if you’d kept the difficulty along the same lines as the PC version. Heck, I even spent a little money trying to win, and that didn’t even help. Was going great at first then it becomes suddenly impossible unless you pay for a better hero. Perhaps I’ve played other tower defense games too long, but it’s very easy to mess up a strategy in the heat of battle. ### 3/5 — Fun but... *2018-11-06, version 1.827* Playing the game is a lot of fun (though the computer version is better). Even when it gets difficult it’s still fun to play. Unfortunately, I can’t progress past level 13, and that’s not fun at all. I like to make progress in the games I play and this game is keeping me from doing so. I wouldn’t say don’t play the game, just don’t expect to fly through it without getting frustrated. ### 3/5 — Welp *2018-03-22, version 1.827* It’s good enough, I guess. A functional Kingdom Rush inspired format, if aggressively difficult.
