### 2/5 — Good concept. GREAT bike. app should be rebuilt so that Bike Health & Bike Locator actually work

*2026-01-27*

I’ve had this app for about a year and a half on a 2024 Indian Challenger. The bike is absolutely fantastic. I sure wish this worked better.

I have installed and uninstalled multiple times. I have even put in trouble tickets with Indian . No luck it will work for a while and then it stops updating. I’ve never been able to get the bike location to work or any of the other advertised features. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times.

I like Indian. GREAT bike. I wish they would get their stuff together on this app.

### 2/5 — Clunky

*2025-12-17*

Track/ride syncing is hit and miss

### 2/5 — Refuses to update

*2025-10-24*

Have uninstalled repeatedly and reinstalled and having it update with the bike is hit or miss sometimes does good and then may go a month before it finally does connect and update is totally unreliable have sent feedback hoping this would be fixed very disappointed to say nothing had changed bikes software is up to date and app then says its not eligible its a 2024 Roadmaster with everything on it but yet last month it was eligible come on both Polaris and Indian are better than this

### 2/5 — No Apple car play

*2025-10-16, version 9.3.05*

Why no Apple car play with the ride app? Apple Maps, Google Maps, etc etc how you supposed to use this app with no car play? Sure seems like it would be simple.

### 1/5 — Indian Ride Command

*2025-07-09, version 9.3.05*

This is the least user friendly mapping system that I have ever used and I think in 2024 for the price of these machines the consumers deserve better

### 2/5 — Still not working

*2025-04-10, version 9.3.04*

2 years in and they still can’t get everything to work. Not worth the subscription.

### 3/5 — Useful but annoying

*2024-12-23*

1. The app doesn’t show fuel gauge, KMs, battery etc. status after a recent upgrade. This is particularly disappointing since in Australia you don’t provide hardware for ride command to auto sync and while the market is supportive and pays with blood to maintain their Indian motorbikes, you are removing the little use I had for the app.
2. Most useful links are for the US site, this is very poor customer experience. More so, their Australia website doesn’t have much of details. I couldn’t even find the Service Fee/Charges for each recommended service.
3. They can do better with the user interface, but I suppose they are relying on Polaris’ platform with Indian branding, hope Polaris can focus on that.
4. Sync is a bit clunky, I had home address show up twice on the app every-time I add it (whether i add via app or the ride command on the bike).

The bike is awesome, it is worthwhile to give a well connected rider experience. If you are integrating tech, do (design) it with the rider in mind.

### 2/5 — Shame

*2024-11-06*

There is so much potential to make the ownership experience great. But alas, Polaris/Indian choose to let this mediocre (at best) app and the RC systems on the bikes linger with the same issues for years. Indian is resigned to yearly updates with minimal improvements that fixed one thing but break a few others. The last Motorcycle update was a year ago. I’m waiting on pins & needles to see if they push another one out soon.

### 1/5 — Bad update

*2024-09-27*

After last update (for “bug fixes”) app won’t connect to app at all. The bike stats won’t update and the “tracks” is no longer saving rides. I hopes this recent update would fix the garbage apple play connection but it didn’t. It still discounts after 5 minutes every single time and now the added feature of no longer connecting to the bike at all! Do better.

### 3/5 — Very clunky

*2024-09-02*

I love the features and capability of this app when everything works correctly.
When on the PC, Waypoints often disappear from view, the map resets its zoom level at the most inopportune times. The actual Bike screen often takes a very long time to load. The route has stopped displaying for periods of time. The routing algorithms often get confused and route me in circles when navigating city streets or hwy interchanges.
If it weren’t for the ability to setup multiple waypoints, track weather live, and easily route to gas, food, hotels, I’d just use imaps, google or Wayz.

### 1/5 — One of worst App’s I have ever tried to use

*2024-08-07*

Basically useless in Canada fails to connect most of the time. Will not save my settings in metric always reverts to USA settings. Will not show speed limit indicator and if it does it will do it in MPH not KPH. I have a free trial with my purchase but will not buy it once it expires. To be fair Indian has tried to get it working for the last several months but it has been very hit and miss.

### 2/5 — Useless without subscription

*2024-07-30, version 9.2.03*

When you buy a new bike this works great during your 1yr trial of Ridecommand+, but once that expires this app stops syncing and is pretty much useless. Unfortunately the subscription features aren’t worth the cost so this just becomes another zombie app left on your phone until you remember to delete it.

### 1/5 — Oops, something went wrong

*2024-07-30, version 9.2.03*

This happens of zero value if you cannot login. I’ve used Chrome. I’ve used Safari. I’ve attempted to use duck duck. Nothing will log me in. Oops something went wrong is message I’ve seen dozens of times. I can log in via the url in all of these browsers not from the login/sign up button. Zero value.

### 2/5 — Great when it works

*2024-07-04, version 9.2.01*

This app has a lot of glitches. Path of travel will arbitrarily disappear when looking at tracked rides.

### 1/5 — What’s the point outside the US

*2024-06-12*

There is no point to this if you are outside the US. The app won’t even talk to the bike 22 Chief.

### 1/5 — Motorcycle location

*2024-06-03, version 9.1.01*

Motorcycle location is incorrect in app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointing Loss of Support for Older Indian Motorcycles

*2026-08-01*

The Ride Command app has become significantly less useful for owners of older Indian motorcycles. I have a 2018 Chieftain Classic, and features that previously worked without a Ride Command+ subscription are now unavailable or grayed out.

Vehicle information such as battery status, fuel level, oil information, and maintenance details is no longer accessible through the app. Owners of older Ride Command-equipped motorcycles also appear to have lost convenient functionality for transferring or downloading planned routes and maps from the app to the motorcycle.

My motorcycle is still properly associated with my Ride Command account, and my tracked rides and planned routes remain visible on the Ride Command website. This suggests the problem is not simply an account or synchronization issue. Instead, the current app appears to have reduced or removed support for functionality that was previously available to older motorcycles.

Indian should not make an app less functional for existing owners merely because newer motorcycles offer cellular connectivity and subscription-based services. Customers paid a premium for motorcycles equipped with Ride Command, and reasonable support for those systems should continue.

At this point, the app provides very little practical value for my motorcycle. Removing or restricting previously available features without a clear explanation is poor customer support and reflects badly on the Indian Motorcycle brand. Indian should restore the older-bike functionality or clearly explain why it was removed and provide owners with an alternative.

### 1/5 — Error Code Look-Up

*2026-02-17, version 10.0.02*

They took the error code look-up away, from the Garage section… That was useful in that new DTC have been added that were not available in the service manual. The App is useless now for anyone with a Non-Ride Command bike …

### 1/5 — App update for Indian Motorcycle

*2026-02-07, version 10.0.01*

This update 10.0.01 is horribly annoying. Previous version worked great;now update no longer has bike health etc visible/working. How do I revert back?!?!

### 1/5 — New v10 now doesn’t show any current bike info

*2026-01-31, version 10.0.00*

Just updated to v10 and now none of the current bike info shows at all. Was there just before updating.
I don’t really see anything different.

### 1/5 — Good concept. GREAT bike. This app should be rebuilt so that it actually works

*2025-12-14*

I’ve had this app for about a year and a half on a 2024 Indian Challenger. The bike is absolutely fantastic. I sure wish this worked better.

I have installed and uninstalled multiple times. I have even put in trouble tickets with Polaris. No luck it will work for a while and then it stops updating. I’ve never been able to get the bike location to work or any of the other advertised features. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times.

I like Indian. I like Polaris. I wish they would get their stuff together on this app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-23, version 9.3.05*

Doesn’t work, conflicting programming in 7 in screen and 4 in screen devices, not intuitive, they don’t explain how a feature works on one bike but not another, subscription fee is the same across all platforms but they rip you off and say device incompatible after you pay the price. This is a drastic failure and explains why Polaris sold off Indian

### 1/5 — Needs a Update

*2025-09-26*

This app is getting worse and worse I stopped for lunch, so I paused the route recording and when we were ready to go again I opened my phone only to find that the app had stopped the route and closed. The ride had to be restated and now shows 2 rides for the day instead of 1 226 mile ride
This is not the first time, this app has not been updated on 5 months and my device is on the newest update.

### 1/5 — Indian app

*2025-08-18, version 9.3.05*

Difficult to use and difficult to sync to your GPS

### 1/5 — Still won’t work

*2025-08-16, version 9.3.05*

I was promised two years in a row that it would work. Paid for it again was told they would call me or email me, it never happened. Still can’t connect the bike I want a refund. To much aggravation.

### 1/5 — Freezing

*2025-07-20, version 9.3.05*

Every time i use the app on the rides section or the community section for more than five minutes i have to restart the app because it freezes up

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Down for me as of 2/7/2026

*2026-02-10, version 10.0.01*

App has been seamless great since 08/23/25, updated to the new one in 01/2026, and now as of 02/07/2026 mine has been down. Signed out, won’t let me log back in. Let us find out them HD boys did a ransomware attack.

### 5/5 — The App

*2025-08-14*

Love the app, people I send it to always send positive comments.🍻👍

### 5/5 — Finally Fix

*2024-10-03*

The app was syncing with the bike but the support team was able to guide me to fix the issue. Apparently the new ride command update turn off the tracking option that is on the privacy settings on the bike display. I just turn it on and works perfectly.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you so much for leaving feedback. We just released a new version for the app today and it should fix this issue. Please do reach out back to us if this doesn't solve your issue. If it does, we request to please update your ratings. Thank you so much for being our valued customer

### 5/5 — Ride command app

*2024-08-13, version 9.2.03*

Love the fact that I can view and share my rides with others. Also it’s great for keeping tabs on my bike.

### 5/5 — Maintenance

*2024-04-03, version 9.0.00*

Does anyone else have a problem with Eagle Rock not putting the maintenance , service done , or resetting the oil life counter ?

### 5/5 — Great ride app

*2023-06-28, version 8.4.01*

I really like the 3D fly over feature. The only thing missing is the ability to pre plan a route. If it’s there it’s hidden and I can’t find it

### 5/5 — Indian Motorcycle 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

*2023-02-20, version 8.1.01*

I purchased the Indian Pursuit 2022 the first in Mississippi to have one ☝🏽 but i have had nothing fun and alot of complaints. Also everything works no issues as advertised salute to Indian

### 5/5 — Can’t add places or search by GPS coordinates

*2023-01-31*

The search for places seems really basic. Cities I know exist don’t show up at all. I also can’t enter a GPS (lat, long) at all. That is sort of the point of a place! Overall I think the app has a lot of potential. I like recording my rides, and the flyover is neat. When planning I typically have a list of places I want to go (gps coordinates). I want a way to determine a best route for them.

### 5/5 — No owners manual

*2022-12-22, version 8.1.01*

Can not get the owners manual to come up on my iPad 10th gen
Everything else works fine

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2020-08-30*

What a beautifully designed app - an absolute pleasure to use and it adds to the excitement of owning an Indian.
One complaint - you have to go to the website to plan a route. It would be nice if you could do everything from within the app itself.
