It's a major element that allows the user to check if items are WIC approved. IF it even scans the barcode it’s incorrect most of the time. Tells me everything is not covered and then at checkout it all is. Someone new to wic would probably assume it’s not and miss out on benefits. The camera needs to be able to zoom so you can scan the smaller barcodes (like baby food) because it just won’t read them at all. If you hold it closer to read it it gets blurry and won’t adjust.
