Although, got the payment received text SMS, hence went ahead to close the app and reopen, so all was well but I hope it doesn’t get stuck someone and falsely fail the payment, when the bank transaction was actually successful. **Developer response:** Hi, we regret the inconvenience caused. We will get back to you at the earliest. ### 2/5 — Unreliable service with minimal improvements *2024-10-15* IOCL’s home delivery service is highly inconsistent and varies depending on the distributor. While IOCL commits quick delivery, in my experience of over 30 years, I have never received a refill on time as committed. Even in 2024 as the world is adapting to technological advancements, IOCL seems to be stuck in the past. When you speak to the distributors employees, you will experience lack of customer orientation and often they behave as if they are doing you a favour by delivering the gas. Cylinder weight, emergencies services are still questionable. Lately, there has been slight improvements in service but yet to see credible and significant improvements in overall service, quality of cylinders (weight) being delivered and emergency services. ### 3/5 — Need to have a dedicated either application or web page *2021-10-06* It is easy to book LPG refill. Problem starts when trying to pay online through the link provided. After checking the OTP when you come back to the link page to feed OTP, link page disappears. It is quite embarrassing. I feel, there should be a dedicated application to book refill, get confirmation about booking done and pay online through bank cards. Consumers job must be made easy. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Useless app, *2021-05-13* This app doesn’t even deserve a single star rating, the only government app which is so cheap and not even the payment system works properly, the developer perhaps having no knowledge about app development and seems to be there from any recommendations or corruption if the department is not corrupted. But still after so many complaints as there is no change , now the department’s credibility also in doubtful. If you cannot fix the payment gateway then better remove the option of payment online just to show the government. ### 1/5 — Transaction issue using the app *2021-01-22* I made the payment through UPI on IndianOil ONE for LPG cylinder. The UPI showed successful payment however, the app did not show the payment. Checked with customer care and they informed the payment has not been received. The app has option to register complain but does not have the option to attach images to show such issues. There are too many categories but no option for dispute payment. Now my money is stuck. Indian Oil says I have not made the payment whereas the UPI app says I have made the payment. I have to create a dispute which will take 10 working days to get resolved. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Issues Found During App Registration and LPG ID Linking *2026-08-20* Issues Found During App Registration and LPG ID Linking 1. Registration with Email ID * When I tried to register on the app using my email ID, the app did not allow me to complete the registration. * It displayed a message saying that the email ID was already registered. * When I tried to recover/forget the account, the app displayed a different person’s mobile number. * Also, there is no option available to reset or recover the account using the registered email ID. 2. Registration Using a New Mobile Number * I registered again using a new mobile number without providing an email ID. * This time, the registration was successful. * I then successfully linked my LPG ID with the account. * However, after logging out and logging in again, the LPG ID linking was no longer available/was not retained. 3. Multiple Mobile Numbers Showing in Account * When I checked my account details on the website, I found that three additional mobile numbers were registered/linked to my account. * I do not recognize these additional mobile numbers. * This needs to be investigated because it may indicate an account-mapping or data-linking issue. Overall Concern There appear to be issues with account registration, email/mobile number mapping, LPG ID linking, and account data synchronization between the app and website. In particular, displaying another person’s mobile number during account recovery is a serious concern and should be investigated. ### 1/5 — Most wahiyat app ever *2026-08-15* The most wahiyat and ghatiya app i have ever used in my life. Too many bugs. All features are fake. None of them works. Even the most basic login feature works after tapping multiple time on the logic n button and that too always shows a error pop up message. Trying to complete ekyc for LPG connection from last one week which is just a one min activity but getting the same internal errors again and again. whosoever are the developers of this app should be immediately fired. It’s like a dummy app. Even college students projects are better than this ridiculous app. ### 1/5 — Slow, inefficient app *2026-08-14* Half the features in the app don’t work. There’s always some error message shown. Especially the “change distributor and address”option, which I’ve been trying to do every day for more than one week and still every single time it shows “Unknown Error”. This is the e worst app I’ve used. Extremely inefficient. What’s the point of gloating that India has become a top power in digital technology when people are unable to operate simple features on an app that deals in necessity, which is LPG connection?! ### 1/5 — Trying eKYC quite unsuccessfully on this terrible app *2026-07-30* Been trying to complete my eKYC from this app for the last 5 days, and even after doing everything correctly, the app crashes immediately after the face image is captured. The face capture itself succeeds, but your broken deep-link routing crashes the app before the payload can be verified. Fixing your ⁠go_router⁠ setup isn't rocket science. Meanwhile the ultimatums from Indian Oil to complete the eKYC haven’t stopped. Stop sending threats to complete eKYC when your own app can't even handle a simple scheme callback. Just another broken app for a thoroughly needless verification process. ### 1/5 — Quality of life changes *2026-05-04* Indian Oil made a grave mistake by choosing to stick on to changing their app UI to only show gas booking. while it is understandable that this was to cater to the lpg shortage initially they have stuck on to use the same ui till date putting all dedicated iocl customers at loss by not allowing to check and view nearby petrol stations to check what fuel types they offers. also they really lag behind on implementing fastag pay option. initially they allowed it by using fiserv pos but now none of the pumps accept fastag. Despite using xtragreen diesel for my car i am switching to HP for their ease of payment using fastag and fuel from Jio ### 1/5 — Need fixing *2026-04-04* The IndianOil ONE app is honestly very frustrating to use. Important details like the DAC number and booking updates are often hard to find, and sometimes messages disappear or don’t arrive at all. For something as essential as gas booking and delivery, the app should be much more reliable and user-friendly. The interface feels confusing, and even simple tasks like checking booking status or resending the DAC become unnecessarily difficult. Many times the app lags, loads slowly, or fails to update delivery information on time. This causes a lot of inconvenience, especially when the delivery person asks for the DAC and the app provides no quick solution. Overall, the app needs major improvements in performance, clearer navigation, and better notification support. ### 1/5 — Major Flaws in IOCL LPG Connection Online Booking Process *2025-08-21* I attempted to book a new LPG connection online, starting with Aadhaar KYC as instructed by IOCL, which supposedly takes just 2 minutes. After completing the face scan, the app prompted me to provide an email address—but frustratingly, there was no option to enter it at that step. This shows an obvious design flaw that disrupts the process. It’s surprising that IOCL’s digital platform misses such a basic functionality, leading to a major bug. It seems no government website or app delivers a seamless online experience for applying for a new LPG connection. In reality, the online process doesn’t work as advertised. Even if you try the LPG website, it won’t let you complete the application. Ultimately, you’re forced to go offline and pay extra fees just to get the connection. It’s disappointing to see these issues persist in the system. RIP ### 1/5 — Pathetic service - Sign-in is not working. *2025-07-31* Bad experience with the Indian oil, I’m try to get a nee connection from past 20 days. First i tried with the website, at that time authentication was not working i was able to sign up but after that while sign in the site. Its said wrong id/pswd or invalid refresh token. And the same issue is with the application. I don’t know what the service providers are doing, indian oil should question the external team who is provide application development service, or if they have inhouse team to handle the application then what the hell CTO, coo or technical head or product manager are doing? Or they have inexperienced developers. ### 1/5 — Delete online account *2023-12-19* While there is an option to delete account but when I try it always pops up, user does not exist. What a mess!!! My connection was transferred and there is no gas connection linked to it and that is the reason I wanted to delete the account. Moreover, when you’re holding my data, why I’m not able to delete it, specially when I’m able to login to my online account, website and app both places. Not able to understand the logic here!!!! We will get back to you at the earliest. ### 1/5 — Piece of crap *2023-03-29* Honestly speaking, this is the worst app I have ever used. Even college projects done by final year students are way better and stable than this app. Most of the times, it does not work properly or it is dead slow or it will show loading icon for ever. Such a shame we are the users of this of this app. Even free services are way better than this app. Further update, even after 2-3 years, the app is still in pathetic stage as it was earlier. Updating to latest version also does not work. If there is an issue while loading the Home Screen you F the app, the team should learn to show some meaningful or user friendly messages instead of displaying the loading icon forever. The app does not work most of the times. You have to extremely lucky as an user to get the app working and to be able to order a cylinder. **Developer response:** Kindly reinstall your app. This should resolve your issue. The speed with which I could do this in INDANE App was awesome. It took just 1 night for this transfer. If you go to the distributor they will ask for lot of things and they take lot of time. Thanks INDANE for this customer friendly app and service. Really appreciate this and that too coming from a PSU. Great!! Therefore we are not able to go to home page of IOCL. Payment process is an headache. Advance technology saving our time in getting things prop by INDANE. It is very my useful for elderly citizens in home to receive cylinders. App is expecting to select an option but in UI there is no such option given to select it. In notification, it is asking user to upgrade but when I select it is not showing any updates. This issue is happening on IOS 13.7, iPhone 7+ device. Please resolve this problem asap. ### 5/5 — App crash and d stopped working *2019-10-21* When I login to this app with my account , it validated my authentication and successfully login to this app. But after showing the home page it crashed and closed the app. It happens many time. I cannot booked my cylinder. I think the api doesn’t work properly or the response hasn’t properly handled in the front end. Please look it to this issue. ### 5/5 — Good initiative *2019-09-13* The app is good. It is important to enable delivery notification or cylinder delivery date. The app currently does not do that. Many times it takes days before the cylinder is delivered and it is not possible for sitting at home all the time once cylinder is booked. This causing huge inconvenience, if the app can provide this feature, this will be a great feature and huge success ### 4/5 — Don’t Install this app *2019-09-05* ========Fake Online Payment======= ========Be Aware =============== If you want to pay at the time of delivery then only install this app otherwise every time balance will we detect and #CCAveanue page will be displayed for whole day and says don’t reload and refresh the page. My bad as I tried and almost twice balance deducted but now i need to call centres and just time wasting. And remember this is like a #Gov app so they also will not care about these reviews ### 3/5 — Unable to Update *2026-08-15* Extremely frustrating user experience. The IndianOil One app forces an update prompt upon opening, stating that a newer version (3.10) is required to log in or sign up. However, tapping the "Update Now" button does absolutely nothing, and checking the iOS App Store directly shows no new update available. This creates a endless loop where the app blocks access until updated, but the developer hasn't pushed the required version to the App Store for iPhone users. As a result, the app is completely unusable for basic tasks like booking LPG cylinders or managing account details.
