Language problem (fixed!)
The developer promptly contacted me, and promptly fixed the problem. That is very impressive!
I have since played the game a few times, and I like it very much. So 4 stars now.
Two improvements would make this a 5 star game:
1) The game needs a Starter level, something even easier than Very Easy. In this level, every clue leads to only one possible (and obvious) placement.
For example, “Anna is next to the statue”. And there is only one statue, with only one place where Anna could go next to it.
A Starter level would get a person familiar with the game without any frustrations.
2) I’m not quite sure when I have won the game. Evidently, I’ve won when all of the suspects are correctly placed.
I suggest an “Accuse” button, where you tap, and then accuse the thief.
And one more thing. I under and respect why you chose “they” when referring to individual subjects.
But it leads to confusion. So could we not assume that each suspect prefers he or she?
Response from developer
Hi Dr. Smith, thank you for the detailed report — you were absolutely right. The case content (clues, rooms and narration) wasn't following the language setting. This is already fixed: every case now plays fully in English, at every difficulty. The update (1.0.1) is currently in Apple's review queue and will be available in the next few days. We'd love to hear what you think once it lands — and thanks for giving Indicia a try. UPDATE: FIXED 😁
