### 5/5 — Preparation is key

*2018-10-07*

Don’t let yourself have crucial conversations without using this tool to prepare. Interesting concept with tangible benefits. Be sure to go through the dialog demos before beginning. They will help you set the tone and discipline of practicing and preparing.

### 5/5 — Ótimo!

*2018-07-27*

**Developer response:** Muito obrigado! Fico feliz em ser útil.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Huge Potential

*2020-04-28, version 1.1*

The potential for this app to help individuals with social comprehension problems or mental disabilities is massive. The instructions are very very concise and clear, but need to be translated more fluently from the developers native language. The on-boarding is what takes away.

### 4/5 — Helps me think

*2018-11-11*

Really interesting, very niche app. Two usecases for me: It helps me think through complex arguments, and you can map out conversational interfaces (for conversational software). The latter is a bit weird in this app as you don’t need all the rating functionality of arguments, but for the first one its really well designed.

2 Feature requests:

Links / rich text / media attachments in argument bubbles. Some arguments are just a bit lengthier than what is currently usable in the app. Bubbles should expand with content. At the moment the text is just cut off without a way to view it except for going into edit mode.

Arguments of the same side should be linkable as “this leads to that, and that...”. Currently, if a point is not directly mapped back to an argument on the other side, a new episode is created.

I hope the feedback sounds reasonable. Thanks for developing this app!

### 4/5 — Great app to challenge yourself

*2018-06-10*

At first I was very skeptical about this app, probably because my inner voice told me that simulating a critical dialogue will bring up difficult questions :-D So I tried it out and it really helps to "contrast" critical questions. It became part of my personal toolkit.

### 5/5 — Jury Shortki makes…

*2024-06-27*

… the most interesting and unique apps

### 5/5 — Very Useful App Needing Updates

*2022-08-02*

Format and tools make this a superior tool for preparing for business negotiations and important business discussions. But losing interest in app if abandoned. Would pay for and separately use an updated app, and a Mac of web app. But updates are now needed. Curious what the developer is planning. I use InShort a lot. Also be useful if in choke points in InShort (Gantt) charts could be liked to a script in inDispute.

### 5/5 — Cat got your tongue?

*2022-03-09*

I easily become “tongue-tied” and/or answer a question, with a question. I found using the dialogue reasonings and goals provided in this app very helpful to stay on point. I had no idea that by just building a few “visual” scripted conversations, I would realize how much time I actual waste on improv “verbal” confrontations.

### 5/5 — Muito bom!

*2021-11-20*

### 5/5 — Superb tool for planning difficult conversations

*2020-10-15*

I really appreciate the creativity this developer brings to their apps. This app is easy to learn and use, and a powerful tool to plan and prepare for difficult conversations. I used it to prepare for an intervention meeting with a senior employee and was amazed at how much better prepared I was, and consequently how smoothly this difficult meeting went. Highly recommend this app.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It took me a while to see the value in this.. but.. it is AWESOME.

*2020-04-06*

So, i am a huge fan of inshort. Amazing program

The author brought this out, i bought it to support the developers, but in playing with it, working through the user guide...

...this thing is brilliant. Really good. Hard to grasp the value at first, but really it is a great planning tool for entering into hard negotiations, or even getting to a point where you want to motivate yourself to do something! Like exercise. Hahahaha

...although the authors probably did not think of it this way, this technique behind this app engaged executive function, and allows for ‘two sides’ to bring out the best in a solution.

I have found it useful for harsh negotiations in my work, and also negotiating with myself to get off the couch and work my fitness goals :)

The user guide is hard to follow, as i suspect the authors are not native english speakers... but in working through it a second time.. whoa... this is a good tool.

### 5/5 — For work and more

*2019-04-12*

I got the app to help plan out what I should say in my yearly performance review. But, I think it will also help for expected personal conversations.

I’ve shied away from many conversations having just planned for them in my head — writing them out in this form should make it easier to actually have them.

### 5/5 — InDispute

*2019-01-09*

A focussed application on what it does - to help you to develop arguments and counter arguments to analyse a potentially contested situation. InDispute handled all of the ways I have needed to link/cross link different parts of the thought process. Also intuitive in terms of reorganising these. Recommended.
