Pretty poor app really ### 2/5 — Good when it works but it rarely does *2026-04-26, version 3.0.3* We got this installed 2 weeks ago. The historic charges have random hours of charge. Like 4pm to 8am. But I have schedule from 12am to 5 am. I can see on the graph that the card charged but the data below is 0 for all. Cant change wifi from app. Goes offline often. I would not recommend and I’m looking for alternatives. ### 3/5 — Apps ok *2026-04-19, version 3.0.3* while the app is good I can’t say the same about the charger.. ### 4/5 — Works ok *2026-02-08, version 3.0.2* We have been using this Indra unit and app for only a short time. One problem has been getting the unit to connect physically. Shaking or knocking the housing seems to engage the connection so we believe the locking mechanism is sticking. You hear the’ click’ when it engages. Further the app is inconsistent in recording the charging. For example we charged the car last night (Saturday) but today, Sunday 2:00pm, the app history still only shows last Tuesday as last charge. Overall it works but not smoothly so far. Update:- We left the car plugged in. Apparently it needs unplugging for the app to accept the data from the last charge. ### 3/5 — Could be better *2025-12-04, version 2.0.3* Always stops a few minutes after set stop time meaning I get charged premium rates for that period. After being installed at my home, Indra retrofitted an ugly earth wire that is visible from the outside of my house, looks very unprofessional with electricians etc saying what a bodge job, plus ruins aesthetics of my house and charger. ### 3/5 — Can’t modify turbine lights setting *2025-08-29, version 2.0.3* Fairly basic app. Can lock and unlock the charger but can’t change settings for turbine lights. ### 4/5 — Installation *2025-07-31, version 2.0.3* Electrician found it difficult to install otherwise it seems to be working fine. ### 1/5 — Online… offline *2025-01-30, version 1.0.17* Sometimes online. Sometimes offline. Never can be sure it’s going to charge the car. Customer support is basically standard IT ‘turn it off and on again’ which is fine when you are there but useless when trying to boost charge remotely. Worth while mentioning that if you have the charger fitted by an independent electrician, they will have to liaise with Indra to allow commissioning ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing *2026-04-05, version 3.0.2* Has been crashing for months now. Every time I click on the charge report button it crashes. The developers know about the issue, tell me they are aware and working on a fix. It never gets fixed. ### 1/5 — Not reliable *2026-03-28, version 3.0.2* Charger intermittently throws the trip switches so charge stops. As the app does not tell you this has occurred you have to monitor the app all the while the car is charging. App just says charger is off line. Have to unplug car, reset trip switch, wait 5 mins and the plug car back in and hope. Sometimes trip will throw three or four times in a single charge ### 1/5 — Awful. Constant faults and offline *2026-02-17, version 3.0.2* I would do anything now to get rid of this charger. It’s awful. Was told issue was with old mobile connection. Had engineer out to add WiFi. Still no better. Avoid. ### 1/5 — App downgrade *2026-02-01, version 3.0.0* I used to enjoy the historical data this app gave me but since the function for the app to give me cost data has been removed, the usefulness of the data is significant reduced. Why the downgrade?!! ### 1/5 — Does Not Work *2025-10-03* The Indra App simply doesn’t work, especially if you have more than one device. If you make an Indra account and attempt to log in from a second device, it always fails and attempts to guide you through setting up your EV charger, which fails unless you reset your charger to factory settings. In practice, users cannot log in. ### 1/5 — Failed *2025-08-21, version 2.0.3* It lasted one year before requiring replacement. ### 1/5 — Web app was great this isn’t *2025-05-14, version 2.0.3* Been using the Indra web app for over a year charging 2 EVs with OVO charge anytime tariff Loved it never had to think about it…plug in and walk away and it sorted the charging out Now this new app coupled with the OVO charge anytime app to run the charging schedule is shocking Been “trying to” for a month now with Indra to make them realise this app (for me at least) has major issues and all the want to do is blame my WiFi, so I’ve now moved my WiFi antenna 1m away and hard wired the charger demonstrating in Indra customer service this is not the issue , since I sent them this evidence their customer service has been radio silence Very disappointing as the web app worked so will this doesn’t ### 1/5 — Web app was great this isn’t *2025-04-15, version 2.0.3* Been using the Indra web app for over a year charging 2 EVs with OVO charge anytime tariff Loved it never had to think about it…plug in and walk away and it sorted the charging out Now this new app coupled with the OVO charge anytime app to run the charging schedule is shocking Been “trying to” use it for 4 days missed 2 over night charges and constantly having to reset the charger to force it to work ….very very temperamental, Having a EV was easy not anymore with this app ### 1/5 — Poor app *2025-02-28, version 1.0.17* As an OVO customer I wish had read more of the lower rated reviews before choosing this charger through OVO. This app doesn’t work for OVO and that explains why the installer said use the web browser. Unfortunately you don’t get all the functions with the web browser like lock the charger. So hoping no cheeky bugger tries to get a free EV charge top up whilst no one’s around of which does happen. Also what’s worrying is the charger is showing its online but the OVO app stating the charger isn’t sending the data so I won’t get the reduced rate. So to top it all I’m £1k out of pocket, it’s easy for someone to steal my electricity and I’m not getting the reduced rate. So in hindsight don’t use the combination of OVO and Indra or stick to your 3 pin plug that worked for me charging over the weekend for the week. ### 1/5 — Consistently Useless *2025-02-02, version 1.0.17* First unit fried its own board. 2nd unit is useless. Will not integrate/communicate reliably with Tesla & Intelligent Octopus. I have to hit boost then wait for Octopus to take over. Rarely works. I’ve rebooted everything on numerous occasions. Support is dire at best. Can’t wait to get a different wall charger and throw this one in the bin. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Awesome EV Home Charger *2026-08-08, version 3.0.3* The app and EVHC are awesome. Very clever. I can schedule a charge. Plug it in and away it goes later, starts, and stops at the right time. I can lock the EVHC remotely and I can charge my EV remotely.
