INDS Data Manager (IDM) by Jeppesen and Honeywell provides pilots and operators, who subscribe to INDS services, the ability to seamlessly upload their flight-critical databases directly to the Honeywell avionics, through a wireless connection, to the aircraft using an iPad and a supported wireless gateway. This iPad application is a first for the aviation industry. With the proper aircraft equipment and configuration, it greatly improves efficiencies in the data update process. By combining the data distribution and data loader process into one simple tool, it saves pilots and operators time and cost uploading the aircraft with flight-critical information each cycle. Keeps posting that username / password invalid ### 1/5 — Poor design for mobile *2025-09-04* For an app that’s meant to run multimillion dollar state of the art avionics systems, it’s shocking to me the developers didn’t optimize for mobile (iPhone) use. ### 1/5 — Can’t even accept privacy agreement *2025-05-22* Have to download this dumb app to edit something you can’t do on a desktop, just to not have an “I accept” option for the privacy agreement. It’s like this app doesn’t even fit on the screen properly. Honeywell never fails to disappoint. ### 1/5 — Bad way… *2024-11-02* We need to can send the downloads to drive as well this app only can use via Wi-Fi connection direct with the plane… ### 1/5 — Bad update *2023-11-13* This last update was bad, took away a lot of convenience and made it more complicated. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2023-10-05* Got notice that version 4.8 would be available oct 4th, day later and still only previous version is available. ### 1/5 — Affordable Care Act Website was easier. *2023-02-20* The screen layout is almost unusable: Fonts are small with low contrast-nearly impossible in a dark cockpit. Why does the operating page have to be in landscape? Boarders and shading on the download and upload pages are invisible in a dark cockpit. Easy to make timely and costly mistakes while uploading. I’m not sure I would even try fixing this app. Just go back to the old INDS. Doesn’t deserve the one star we’re forced here to give. UPDATE: Actually makes me consider purchasing a different aircraft all together to get away from Honeywell. Thanks & Regards, IDM Support Team ### 1/5 — Jeppesen + Honeywell = Disaster *2023-01-18* I have been struggling with the INDS app for over a year now. Unfortunately, in the Pilatus I have no other choice - if I did, I would pay double to leave this service and get something that works consistently. Truly, this has been a disaster. One example: If you mess up your password and it locks you out, it may take an entire day for the system to let you back in! Normally, if you are locked out of an App, you can call customer service and they can open back up your access - NOT with this one. If you are in the middle of nowhere and end up locked out of your INDS app, forget uploading any databases for a day … possibly longer. Customer service, while nice, has no way to help you … they cannot re-open your access … you are just screwed. Here is another example of their problems: When I first got the app and paid for the service (which is not cheap) - it took me over 4 hours on the phone with support, and going all the way up through programmers, to get it to upload into my aircraft. Again, a disaster. Then, they do updates and releases and every time, I shudder. It is always a risk as to if it is going to work or not. TERRIBLE … AVOID AT ALL COSTS. **Developer response:** Thank you for using IDM and sharing your valuable feedback. Regrets for the inconvenience caused!! Locking period of IDM application is set for 30 minutes for unsuccessful password entries. After the locking period, the application shall be available to login again.
