### 4/5 — Retro bliss

*2025-09-29, version 1.12*

Great retro style shooter but needs variety in the different enemy ships. Maybe some crab style enemies and or some huge motherships but I’m not done playing yet so that might come. And multi player would be a nice addition.

### 4/5 — Great game

*2019-08-22, version 1.11*

Enjoyable gameplay, but the boss fights can be a bit monotonous sometimes, and when playing the special missions, the missile button does not work, which makes it hard to complete them.

### 4/5 — One of the loveliest games I’ve played. Needs to be updated for newer phones.

*2019-04-03*

This is such a beautiful game. From the different opponent types to the level designs. I haven’t played this much of an engaging game in months. Thank you for creating this :D

Update: Needs go be updated for the newer phones.

### 5/5 — Good shooter

*2018-11-17, version 1.11*

Simplistic graphics with a bit of a Tron vibe, really good music and it works really well with onscreen controls. I have only done ten levels but so far no bosses and no variation in the background graphics. Quite a few upgrades to slowly aquire as you play through the levels and not too expensive, another bonus is you won’t need a recent device to run this. I’m playing it on an iPad but it probably won’t play as well on a phone due to the smaller screen and the onscreen buttons could make it a bit trickier to play.

### 5/5 — Just beautiful

*2018-11-16, version 1.11*

Fantastic game, looks gorgeous on iPhone 7 screen and probably even better on iPhone X upward. Recommend.

### 5/5 — Twin Stick Descent

*2018-05-21, version 1.11*

It’s a twin stick/two dimensional Descent game with an awesome soundtrack, lots of upgrades, and it’s made by Luke Schneider. What’s not to love?

### 4/5 — Pretty darn cool

*2018-05-10, version 1.11*

I live the intensity of the firefights in this game; keep up the cool weapon choices!

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2018-05-05, version 1.11*

This game is a lot of fun, good level design. I will probably go buy the first one, I hope they make a third. If they do there should be an extreme hard mode

### 5/5 — Отличная игра!

*2017-12-20*

Даже язык времяубивалкой назвать не поворачивается! Игра зашла на отпад, а музыка, эх, редко такие шедевры попадаются...

### 5/5 — Heavily satisfying

*2017-12-01, version 1.11*

This game is very enjoyable, I’ll start off with that. It takes a while to get used to the minor puzzle elements but the directional teleporters are a fantastic idea. The upgrades are rewarding but come very rarely compared to the early game. Maybe bring it down to 4 points necessary for them? It’s just nitpicking on a fun and fairly long experience.

### 5/5 — 85 million Stars

*2017-11-29, version 1.11*

I haven't played a twin stick in years and no lie when I started this I was awful at it. But once I got the controls gist back it was so familiar and fun. The music is perfect, the color scheme fits completely with the design to create one amazing package . I was simultaneously time warped to the 80's and then ahead beyond. Hope they make 20 more! Recently when I got my new phone I saw it wasn’t on the Store and I was so angry I complained like a real adult and everything :P I am so glad it’s back. I need this game with me always. 👍👍

### 4/5 — Great game but lacking

*2017-11-22, version 1.11*

This game is great with lots of verity but yet gets a little stale after continuous missions with the same objective.
The new enemys added with each chapter are unique. I wish there where more boss battles or more variants of levels. I also wished there was more things you could do with your currency.

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2017-10-08, version 1.11*

If I could rate any amount of stars well I would go for 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 that is how much of a great game this is I did not waste my money at all

### 5/5 — Addictive

*2017-04-20, version 1.11*

It plays great on my iPad mini 2 and my iPhone 5C. It does make me want a 6+. I recommend playing through Inferno+ first. If you want more, then here you go. It's a very well done sequel with an RPG/leveling element.

Update: I have a 6S+ and it's great. I just wish the author would come out with an Apple TV sequel to the game.

### 5/5 — Wouah

*2016-12-06*

Je confirme tous les avis précédents: excellent!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — UI is too large for the iPad mini

*2019-07-10, version 1.11*

This used to play fine but at some point an update has occurred that scales the UI too much and there does not appear to be an option to resize or scale it. But was a fun game

### 1/5 — no mfi

*2018-02-13, version 1.11*

It says it supports MFi. My MFi controller works with other games. It doesn’t work with this game. The game doesn’t react to my controller at all. That I thought I could use my controller was the only reason I paid for this game.

### 1/5 — Update Broke The Game!

*2016-07-09, version 1.11*

On my iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.2, the latest update made the game's UI display and graphics all screwy. It almost looks like they're in portrait mode, but the background is stretched all the way for landscape. It's definitely unplayable.

The developer has been aware of this for months, and hasn't even mentioned working on a fix... I doubt it'll ever happen... it's a shame... especially from, what was once, one of my favorite development studios on the AppStore.

### 1/5 — FU*Ck this

*2016-05-23, version 1.11*

Waste of time

### 1/5 — Inferno 2

*2016-05-23, version 1.11*

Game no working properly

### 1/5 — Terrible control system

*2015-05-17, version 1.1*

Not sure who is writing these reviews but there is a bug in the control system. U can point any direction you like, but when u press fire the direction ur pointing jumps around. Makes the game unplayable.

### 1/5 — Gamepad??!?!?!?!!!?!???

*2015-03-01*

Leider geht das nicht, schade, nach Update sofort 5 Sterne, bitte verbessern

### 1/5 — 아니 누르지도 않았는데;;

*2014-10-03*

앱이 구매되었어요 .. 환불 안되나요

### 2/5 — Not Worth the Money

*2025-09-04, version 1.12*

Mildly entertaining, super repetitive, and controls are too tight. Playing on iPhone 15

### 3/5 — Pedestrian

*2020-10-05, version 1.12*

Not bad, but not really good, either. Too much going on in terms of all the touch based inputs, really grindy, level design and mechanics are borderline boring.

### 5/5 — Most replayed game I have

*2024-02-29, version 1.12*

Fun flowing gameplay. Wishing for more and more layers of depth

### 5/5 — hard but absolutely the good kind of hard

*2023-06-15, version 1.12*

works brilliantly with a gamepad, like all good twinsticks, and i highly recommend using one

### 5/5 — One of the best twin stick shooters left on iOS

*2022-07-10, version 1.12*

I have been looking for a decent twin stick shooter for a while, it seems they used to be so many available, now, they are hard to come by.
I tried downloading every single one on the App Store that I could find, then played through all of them, and this is, by far, my favourite. I paid quite a hefty amount of money for some of the other shooters, that left me completely underwhelmed and disappointed, in contrast Inferno is an absolute steal!
While not entirely perfect (on my iPhone 12 mini the sticks are awfully close to the notch and home bar, meaning I occasionally, accidentally pause the game), this has been the most fun I’ve had playing a twin-stick shooter in at least half a decade.
The visuals are on point, the enemies are difficult, but not entirely overwhelming; since buying it this has been the go-to game whenever I’ve had some time to kill on my phone.
Despite its minor faults, still easily worthy of five stars, and still the best on the App Store I could find!

### 5/5 — Jogo bom e viciante

*2021-11-04*

Krikaoli recomenda!

### 5/5 — Geometry Wars replacement

*2021-02-21, version 1.12*

Great game. Really tense gameplay. Upgrades, weapons, missals and enhancements are hard to understand when selecting.

### 5/5 — 続編待ってます！

*2020-05-30*

とてもおもしろいです！

### 5/5 — Really love this game but stupid iOS broke it

*2019-10-11, version 1.11*

The last update broke this game. Screen is smaller and to the right with relatively bright battery and clock near notch. Ugg. I can’t rant on this game because it’s the iOS.

### 5/5 — Favorite ever :)

*2019-08-08, version 1.11*

Seriously. Replayable, fast. Not expensive.... not admitting how many times I’ve played through...

### 5/5 — Great fun!

*2019-05-09, version 1.11*

This game is easy, which may be a turn off for some players. However, what it makes up in lack of challenge, is fun. This is an extremely entertaining game, and it’s well worth the price!
