The goal is not to shoot the advancing Centipede, but the skulls that determine its direction. Then you can take it out later, after it reaches the bottom and is moving away. Meanwhile, shooting the little space ships that fire at you can yield power ups - even a laser weapon that obliterates all in its path. It is clear it was made with a passion for these retro arcade games from Atari, but fix this bug where every time I tap the screen my ship fires meaning I can fire extremely quickly.
