### 5/5 — Excellent app with a lot of potential.

*2026-06-24*

I have been learning French for several years now and would consider my level to be a solid intermediate. I credit the great Kwiziq with most of my progress. This app is a lot like Kwiziq but with shorter lessons that can be done on the go.

After using InfinLume daily for about a week, I think there are a few things that could be done to help bring it closer to the level of Kwiziq:

English translations should be available for every sentence, including on prompts (they can be hidden). For example, I had to leave the app and look up the translation of this sentence: “Et leur cousine, après le déménagement, elle se sentait encore un peu inconnue”. I knew all the words but I had never come across “inconnue” used that way before. If the English translation was available on the app, it would have saved me time.

More thorough explanations after answering questions. This can also include conjugation examples, when necessary.

And lastly, the Card Sprint - please give the option to mark words as known. I have reviewed 620 cards. My level, according to the app is B1 and I am still being drilled on words like je, il, elle and sur. It’s frustrating and feels like a waste of time.

Having said that, I think the app is great and would recommend it to anyone with a basic knowledge of French, looking to supplement their learning. I appreciate its minimal gamification and clean look and I am looking forward to continuing to use it as it evolves and improves!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the thoughtful review and for using InfinLume daily.

A few updates: English translations are now available for all questions and answer options, and we’re working on adding them to lesson slides in the next update. We also found and fixed a diagnostic bug that could incorrectly place intermediate learners back at A0, so your path should now better reflect your actual level.

For flashcards, we’ve added more manual control. When you open a flashcard node, you can enter Manual Mode to see all unlocked cards. If you already know a card, swipe up to mark it as mastered, and it won’t be shown again for 141 days.

We’re grateful for the detailed feedback. If you ever have more suggestions, you can reach us at team@infinlume.com.

### 5/5 — The best there is at the price!

*2026-04-27*

This is literally a free, well made app that DOESN’T bombard you with adds. Just download it and learn French, as it should be.

This is a super in depth course! So if they ever do charge I hope it’s a one time fee and not a sucky subscription
