Was a great app, but the newest update apparently someone thought putting grey dates in grey windows was a good idea, now impossible to set dates and has been rendered useless

Hello. A bit of an inflation calculator nut here. Like the idea, very smart, but (A) the years are a little fussy to manipulate (B) because the movie year detection is based on year movie shot vs year in which movie takes place, the information presented can be misleading if you’re attempting to relate your movie watching experience with your inflation calculating expertise. Example, right now a movie about the Roman Empire is on my TV but the calculator date goes to 1961. Hmmm!

Dad against raising the minimum wage to be somewhat livable? Grandpa talking about how millennials can’t buy houses because they’re lazy good-for-nothings? Older cousins scoffing at people who can’t afford rent and are drowning in student debt? Whip out this bad boy. It has shut them up and gotten them to think every time (unless they’re notorious for needing to be right all the time).

I use it sometimes for TCM but mostly for just generally checking to see how prices change over time. I think my “value compass” is stuck at around 1980, it’s shocking to see how prices (photo equipment, rents, etc.) have changed over time. 

Great app, easy to use and understand.
