## What is InfraSim?

InfraSim is a system-design game you play with your thumbs.

Drag a load balancer, a cache, a database, and a queue onto the canvas. Wire
them together. Hit deploy. Watch live traffic flow through the graph you
built: latency, cost, and errors move because of what you designed, not a
script.

Then something breaks. A traffic spike hits at the worst possible moment. A
zone goes dark. A bot swarm hammers your login endpoint. You have seconds to
find the bottleneck, fix it, and keep your users online, or watch the
postmortem explain exactly what took you down.

WHAT YOU'LL PLAY
- A guided campaign that goes from "single server" to "multi-region,
cache-fronted, queue-buffered" architecture, one concept at a time
- Startup Survival: an endless run where incidents escalate until something
  gives
- Daily Challenge: one seeded scenario, one shot, a global leaderboard
- Sandbox: no rules, no scoring, just build whatever you want and watch it run
- A full encyclopedia of the concepts behind every service, written for
players who've never touched a terminal

HOW IT WORKS
Every run is a real (simulated) system: aggregate traffic, queueing curves,
capacity, cost, and failure all computed on your device from what you
actually built. Nothing here is a quiz with a "correct" architecture, most
levels have several viable designs with real trade-offs between cost,
latency, and resilience.

Play the tutorial and the first twelve campaign levels completely free, no
account needed. Sign in only if you want your progress to follow you across devices
and a spot on the Daily Challenge leaderboard.

InfraSim is an independent educational game. It is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, or Google.
Provider names are used only to map generic architecture concepts onto
terminology you may already recognise.

No ads. No loot boxes. No energy timers. Pro unlocks the rest of the
campaign, unlimited Survival runs, more Sandbox slots, and the full Daily
Challenge archive: everything you've already played stays free forever.

SUBSCRIPTION
InfraSim Pro is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription,

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-12

More of the campaign is free. The first twelve levels are open to everyone now, up from eight.

Startup Survival opens as soon as you finish your first level, and it has its own spot on the home screen so you can actually find it.

A design pass across every screen. Earned stars finally look earned, the Sandbox stress rig and the service palette stop fighting each other for the canvas, and Learn cards break where the argument turns instead of every four sentences.

Accounts got a lot less annoying. Signing up no longer waits on an email, password reset works end to end, and the sign-in screens always have a way back to the game.

Smaller things: onboarding fits on a small phone, service and concept pages give the writing more room, and the Progress tab shows your records properly instead of a stray punctuation mark.
