I love ingles. But the app is not living up to its potential. The search functions seem incapable of hitting key words. I searched French onion soup and got lots of results but not the Campbells one I needed. Then I searched Campbell and Campbells French onion soup was in the results. On my iPhone, the app won’t let my phone auto populate my card information for payment. I have to manually enter my card information, name, address, etc. Not the end of the world but time consuming and inconvenient, not to mention that typos mean I have to do it 2 or 3 times sometimes, even more time consuming and completely unnecessary. But the app is completely geared to curbside pickup when it could be more. I’m new to the app, composed a list that showed locations and emailed it to myself to print out and carry to the store for reference. The pricing and locations are lost when it’s emailed. Frankly, location is more important than pricing to me. (The Publix app prints out showing locations.) It would be wonderful if the Ingles app was tailored to the in store customer, too. I was hoping with the updated app it would improve, but if you don’t have the item like milk bone dog biscuits, that’s an example for a long time. It doesn’t come up under dog treats. It doesn’t come up under milk bone it doesn’t come up under milk bone with the M and the B capitolized. It shouldn’t take five tries for one item on many items and I’m a good speller unless they’ve always dictate which I don’t do one shopping it delays me like 20 minutes and it’s very frustrating. They are notorious for stealing from their customers. Check your receipt before leaving the store. They got us for over $30 for incorrect pricing. The Etowah, NC store is dirty, unstocked, and has the most ignorant employees. Stay away from this grocery chain. I love shopping at Ingles and truly appreciate having online ordering and pickup, it’s something my family relies on. However, the app experience is significantly behind other grocery platforms and makes ordering more difficult than it should be. The search function lacks fuzzy search/synonym matching, so it doesn’t recognize common terms (for example, ‘muffin cups’ vs ‘baking papers’), which makes finding items frustrating and time-consuming. In addition, the app does not retain saved address or payment information, requiring manual entry at every checkout. This adds unnecessary friction to a process that is seamless in most other grocery apps. I would love to continue using Ingles as my primary store, but these usability issues make it challenging. Please validate fields and try again.” Unable to create a new account. Pure garbage that was wasn’t unit tested nor end user tested. Like typing in toothpaste to the search bar and it says there’s nothing coming up. So the store doesn’t sell toothpaste?? It’s so frustrating. Keep up the good work! ### 5/5 — Great Customer Service! *2026-07-20, version 20260518* I have an injured foot and needed to make use of the Ingle’s offer to shop for you at no charge for the first time in all the years I have been going to Ingles. Spoke on the phone with a customer service representative, Alicia, who directed me to the cart symbol on my mobile app. Once I had the confidence of her help of where to start I added items to my cart and then was able to put a card on file and check out with the instruction that I would be there for Curbside at the time that they offered and I accepted. Great process! I was even able to use their scan to identify shopping list items by using my phone and scanning existing items that I’ve bought from Ingles that were on hand, but getting empty.
