They’re too frequent and they’re meaningless. Why send me a notification saying “egg-cellent”? I was in a fitness challenge when the app got my activity time in my personal tracking, but it didn’t update in the group challenge. Very disappointed with how clunky it is. ### 2/5 — Great idea, but just doesn’t work *2020-05-27, version 1.7.1* I downloaded this to start a fitness challenge with my family. The app froze all the time and was generally slow. It didn’t pull data from my Apple Watch. When I inputted manually the entry appeared 10 times. When I sent the link for a challenge to my family, it was just the link to sign up for the site not the actual challenge even though they had created accounts, so it was difficult for them to find where to go to get in the challenge. It just isn’t intuitive at all even for those in the family that ARE tech savvy. It would be great if for the manual entry it could include options for activity type, calories burned, distance, etc. It only offers minutes at this time. If those things could be fixed, this app would be perfect for our needs but as is it is just difficult to navigate. I wanted to pay for the full version to make the family challenge private but won’t do it because of the above. ### 4/5 — Glitches *2020-05-13, version 1.7.1* The app is not even working for me once I sign up ### 1/5 — Would give zero stars *2020-01-10, version 1.5.6* Would give zero stars if I could. This app does not sync, my data went missing several times and I have been trying for days to cancel my paid subscription with no access to my account to be able to. I am afraid they will be charging my card again for an account I cannot use. Do not recommend. ### 1/5 — Plagued with bots / cheaters, no customer support, etc *2020-01-07, version 1.5.6* Title. App will often not sync with my device (Apple Watch), forcing me to restart my watch. There are a group of bots or cheaters in the public competitions. I tested this by making a contest that required at least 5 hours of daily workout, of which some contestants would do at least 6-7 hours of a workout DAILY. Really? The app is horribly unintuitive. What is the true “home” screen? There is none. The bottom navigation bar does not work as you would expect, meaning if you are in your “work” contest page, it’s entirely separate from your social page. And the social page is the page that has all the info on it (your steps, health metrics, current contests). Also, data does not sync in real time. Everything is refreshed every 15-20 min. Why?? ### 1/5 — Stay away! *2019-10-12, version 1.4.3* This app is the absolute worst. When your company suggests a step competition with this app tell them no thanks! Does not consistently sync. The online instructions are of no help. The amount of time it takes away from walking with the stress eating it causes, you end up worse then when you started. ### 1/5 — Sync issues, App constant down *2019-09-12, version 1.4.3* Deserves 0 stars. Extremely unreliable, no clue who or why our company decided to go with this app for a walk competition. If you’re a company out there looking for reliability stay away from these guys. Team numbers are not anywhere near updated, syncing issues, their servers are constantly down. And it doesn’t sync with my apple fitness despite being connected. ### 1/5 — So glitchy *2024-06-01, version 3.0.10* Using on an iPhone 13 this app is horribly glitchy. Doesnt post comment replies, posts them as seperate comment. buffers for ages before posting comment. Have to update things twice before it actually saves. Right now I’ve lost all my step data from my wearable and can’t see any participants names. Not always work, i have to keep closing and opening the app to get the right numbers. Now is not even able to sync fully. It synced yesterday halfway and now it stopped working. I understand developing is hard, but I would expect seamless integration, and not this. Only using because we have a competition at work, but it doesn’t work well at all. ### 1/5 — App Appears down *2023-02-24, version 3.0.9* No data is shown for contest ### 1/5 — It’s almost 2021 — why is an app so glitchy? *2020-11-07, version 1.9.4* My company decided to use InKin for a steps challenge during quarantine, and this has been the most difficult app to use. It constantly freezes, half of the stats screens load blank, and it’s just generally slow. After the most recent update, NOTHING loads. Every screen says, “NO DATA. No worries, we are collecting it for you!” This is frustrating to say the least. I’ve tried to use the troubleshooting articles on the website to diagnose and fix the problem, but nothing has worked. Now there are red notifications popping up at the bottoms of several screens saying things like, “No suitable servers found (`serverSelectionTryOnce`set): [connection refused calling ismaster on _____.” I tried resetting my whole phone as a result, and after that didn’t work I logged onto the desktop app and found the exact same issue to be present there. There seems to be some sort of server issue, whether is from the latest update of the platform or from a problem that just started today, and I really hope it gets fixed soon. ### 1/5 — Great Idea but very glitchy *2020-10-29, version 1.9.3* The idea is amazing but the app is unreliable and reads wrong data. Also very glitchy and not very intuitive. So many steps. Create an account, join a group the. Join a competition. It goes to a white screen. Not sure if it’s a malfunction with the connection between my Apple Watch, IPhone or the app it’s self.
