Was nervous to use the first time but thankfully the server knew exactly what I was talking about when I asked to pay via InKind! Only annoyance was that the tip was not calculated based on subtotal- not sure what it was based on but it ended up being a little bit more than the 20% I had selected. I’ll have to double check the amounts manually next time. ### 2/5 — Restaurant Didn’t Accept *2026-08-09, version 6.61.0* A restaurant I went to for the second time advertised $10 using this app, but when I got there there was no way to pay through inKind. Caveat emptor. ### 2/5 — Good idea but be careful *2026-07-25, version 6.60.0* Overall it’s a solid app for its kind. Though I unfortunately got scammed a bit today by an unclear system. It says that if you pre-fill your wallet with $500 you get a 25% bonus. Which sounds great, so I did it. But when I went to pay the check, I found out that you can’t use the money you spent and still get cash back from the check itself, nor can you use any other discounts or offers. So basically I laid out $500 to get a 5% discount over what I already had (most of the restaurants I was looking at offer 20% back). It’s still not a terrible deal, but it doesn’t inspire confidence in how they do business to find out that way. ### 4/5 — Antonio and the chef were great! *2026-07-18, version 6.59.0* Excellent service! ### 1/5 — Two issues *2026-06-30, version 6.57.0* This app is awful. I went through the process of doing my order and when I got to the payment part and selected my credit card, it auto filled an incorrect zip and expiration date on my card. When I tried to edit the zip I could but it wouldn’t allow me to edit the expiration date. I couldn’t even see what it said because the key pad would cover it and there was no slash option. I then tried to go back to just enter a different method of payment and the app shut down abruptly. This happened three times, all the while my card has three pending orders but the restaurant didn’t get any order. Thanks for making me approve all the cookies before allowing me to use this piece of junk app. Now you get to track this very unhappy customer. ### 5/5 — 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 *2026-06-28, version 6.57.0* This has to be THE BEST app I’ve ever used!!!….not sure how this is even possible but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! The app is so easy to use and links to reservation sites. They have some issues with merchant processing which leaves a sour taste in my mouth ### 1/5 — Bait and switch *2026-08-14, version 6.62.0* Promoted on restaurant’s order online page as a discount for providing an email and receiving marketing materials. Required phone and app installation as well. On install found that inKind doesn’t even work if you are ordering online for pickup. ### 1/5 — No tracking or live support *2026-08-12, version 6.61.0* I tried the inKind app, and after placing the order, I couldn’t find a way to track it manually. Also, the fees are too high per purchase. I never subscribed or agreed to this. In the app notifications were already off. Despicable behavior. Deleted account and uninstalled app. Never using again. Now they separate “Cash” and “Cash Back”. I am fed up with this garbage. I order the food, I get the bill, I type it into the app, I select Apple Pay, the transaction goes through, and an error occurs. There is no way for me to get credit for the transaction, and I end up paying full price.
