They simply don’t work as advertised- specifically, for me, the slideshow feature will not work on any set schedule despite numerous resets and following all troubleshooting recommended by the InkPoster team. Months of back and forth with support with the same unhelpful response, “we are looking into this.” Do better quickly or InkPoster is headed to tech oblivion (along with about $4000 of my own money) ### 1/5 — App is lousy at best *2026-08-09* This app is almost too buggy to be offered. I have tried many times to get it to work but even with a new Inkposter I can’t get connected because it won’t accept a name. With my last poster I couldn’t get the app to reconnect. These posters are expensive why can’t be app be worthy of these prices? ### 3/5 — Besser geworden … *2026-05-23* Die unten beschriebenen Fehler bestehen spätestens seit dem letzten Updates nicht mehr. Die App scheint auch stabiler zu laufen. Allerdings finde ich, dass das Update viel zu lange auf sich warten lassen hat. Jetzt zunächst von 1 auf 3 Sterne. Januar 2026: Bei mir wurde das Firmware Update mit einem Fehler beendet. Außerdem finde ich die Suchfunktion nicht gelungen. Wenn ich suche werden mir nur die Bilder gezeigt die zur aktuellen Ausrichtung des Rahmens passen. Dadurch wirkt die kuratierte Auswahl für mich eher klein. Ergänzung (04.01.26): Nach dem letzten App-Update erscheint bei mir, beim Wechsel des Bildes stets die Meldung „Fehler bei der Übertragung“. Das Bild wird dann aber übertragen. Meiner Meinung nach, besteht für Poketbook/inkposter sofortiger Updatebedarf! Als Premiumhersteller kann man sich diese Schwäche der App meiner Meinung nach nicht leisten. We hope it continues to bring you joy! ### 5/5 — Decent App - Missing Text Search and Flexibility for 5 Star *2026-02-20* Update in Feb 2026: They made many improvements to the app and I’m happy with it now 5 stars Old review below (3 Stars): The app is overall good and nicely polished. The setup of multiple posters is well managed. Where it looses two star is in the following ways, I’ll update my star rating to 5 star if they are addressed: 1) Discover should be searchable by text names of artists and paintings. If I like Gustav Klimt I have to scroll through endless paintings to find his, why is basic text search not available? It’s too obvious a feature to be excluded from an app like this and is a very big problem for daily usability 2) the faux limitations on discover paintings being applicable to only specific sizes is silly and anti technology. You should treat an inkposter as what it is: a digital pixel canvas, if I can take a source artwork from discover and upload through my own library to get it to fit on any of my inkposters independent of size or orientation (even upside down rotated if I feel like it) then you shouldn’t be limiting me on this discovery page of applying it to any poster however I like. It’s anti flexibility nonsense. If you want to keep advertising that some posters are a best fit for some art you should consider a “this looks best on X” ad on appropriate art. Not a hard lock. It also really doesn’t serve you guys well that the sizes you require for various pieces are constantly out of stock. **Developer response:** thanx for review! Text search in Discover is already available and fully functional — you can search by artist or artwork anytime. Regarding size flexibility, each frame has a different format, and not all artworks fit wider ratios without distortion. To ensure the best visual result, all pieces are manually prepared by our artists for specific formats. ### 1/5 — Broken Bluetooth *2026-02-15* I’ve had this product and accompanying app since launch. Went to update the picture the other day and Bluetooth cannot connect. Please fix. 1 star review until then **Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing connection issues. Please check in the app settings whether your frame is updated to the latest firmware version, and make sure you’re using the most recent version of the app as well. Some early versions did have Bluetooth stability issues, but those were resolved quite some time ago, and everything should now work smoothly. The app does let me import the custom pictures and send them to the frame, but there is no way to put all of them on a slideshow. The slideshow feature does exit, but only for InkPoster art, not custom art. Please add this feature. **Developer response:** You’re absolutely right: at the moment, slideshow mode is available for curated InkPoster art, while custom images can be displayed individually. The good news is that the ability to create slideshows with images from your personal library is already in development and is planned for release in March.
