## What is Inner Child Care?

Inner Child is a gentle daily practice for understanding where it came from, and for treating yourself with more kindness now.

You and your inner child are both welcome here, exactly as you are.

DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

You're harder on yourself than you'd ever be on a friend. Self-criticism is the first voice you hear in the morning and the last one at night.
You feel anxious, lonely, or somehow not quite enough. Even when nothing is obviously wrong.
The same painful patterns keep showing up in your relationships, and you can see them coming without being able to stop them.
Feelings arrive far bigger than the moment seems to warrant, and afterwards you wonder where that came from.
None of it means something is wrong with you. It usually means a younger part of you learned to cope in the only way available at the time, and never got told she could stop.

THE PERSON BEHIND IT

Inner Child was created by Dr. Katy Argetsinger, a California-licensed Therapist (LMFT) with a PhD in Clinical, Educational & Health Psychology, who has been practicing psychotherapy since 2007 and whose work includes inner-child and reparenting approaches.

WHAT A DAY HERE LOOKS LIKE

A few minutes, at whatever pace suits you.

Reflective questions that help you notice your own patterns
Supportive affirmations to return to when things feel hard
Short reparenting practices that offer your younger self the reassurance and care she needed
Space to catch an old response as it arrives, and choose a gentler one
Small steps back toward self-trust and steadier ground

Your inner child isn't only where the difficult feelings live. She's also where your joy, your curiosity and your capacity for play come from. Both of those parts are welcome here too.

WHAT STAYS BETWEEN YOU AND YOU

What you write is yours. It’s end-to-end encrypted, we don’t sell or transfer it to anyone. And there is no ads!

ONE IMPORTANT THING

Inner Child is designed to support self-understanding and everyday wellbeing. It isn't therapy, and it isn't a substitute for diagnosis or treatment. If you're struggling, please talk to a doctor or a qualified mental health professional.

WHENEVER YOU'RE READY

There are no streaks to break and nothing to catch up on. Five minutes is enough. Come back when you can.
