At Saint Meinrad Archabbey, we believe all Christians have an "inner monk": the part of each of us that wants to develop a deep, intense and personal relationship with God. Inner Monk offers a simple rhythm for that life, created by the Benedictine monks of Saint Meinrad in southern Indiana. MORNING AND EVENING PRAYER A new prayer for every morning and every evening of the year, written by the monks of Saint Meinrad. The app knows the time of day and opens to the prayer you need. THE RULE OF ST. BENEDICT A short daily reading from the Rule, following the traditional Benedictine practice of reading the whole Rule three times each year. GUIDED LECTIO DIVINA Pray with Scripture step by step through the ancient practice of lectio divina: reading, meditation, prayer and contemplation. LIVE FROM THE ARCHABBEY CHURCH Join the monastic community in prayer through live streams from the Archabbey Church of Our Lady of Einsiedeln. A GENTLE HABIT Create a free account to keep a history of your prayers, save favorites, and set optional morning and evening reminders on your phone. Quiet milestones mark your faithfulness along the way. They never count missed days against you, and you can turn them off entirely. It does not switch to the next day’s Prayer after 24 hours. I love this app and it worked perfectly a few years ago. Wanted to again use it and it seems broken. ### 5/5 — Works as it should *2022-01-17* This app has always worked as it should minus a few small hiccups at the end of the year and sometimes month. Not clear what one review said about updating as that is her phone issue, not the app. You can turn your Phone volume up and down or silence. ### 4/5 — Prayers *2020-10-18* I’ve used the app for years, but recently downloaded the new updated version. I don’t like that I can’t turn off the sound or change the settings. On the daily summary, the font is so large, the right side of the screen is cut off. On some days the prayer isn’t visible. I’ve looked in settings and there’s no way to adjust the size or sound. ### 5/5 — Perfect Prayer Reminder *2020-09-26* This app is the perfect way to remind me to pray each morning and evening! I especially love the prayer request option! ## Frequently asked questions about Inner Monk ### What is InnerMonk? InnerMonk is a free app designed to help users establish a daily prayer habit.
