### 5/5 — Lifetime problem: solved!

*2019-04-22, version 2.01*

First week trying this app and I already want to hug each person behind it!
Long story short: I have ADHD and many food intolerances. I was never able to actually plan a weekend of meals ahead (choose the recipes, go to grocery store and don’t forget ingredients, cook the thing)...
But because Innit is SO simple to use, I was able to make it this week.
I’m literally crying because the meals are also delicious!
BTW, I saw reviews complaining about the recipes being offer the same. But if you think about it, it’s easier/cheaper to buy fewer ingredients at a time. Also I don’t mind about the limitation when eating seasonal!
The only feedback I have is that I lost time when I had to chop ingredients, when I could have do it ahead with proper warning.
Otherwise: love to all of you, Innit 💚

**Developer response:** Sending virtual hugs back at you from the Innit team! We are so happy to hear that the app has made your cooking, shopping, and eating experience easier.

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2018-08-21, version 1.2.2*

Neve used to cook before this app because I found it very intimidating. Now I am cooking every day because this app takes away all the scary parts. Don’t know how long it will take to cook a meal? Done. Don’t know what to cook? Done. Don’t know how many ingredients to buy? Done.

Something great I’ve discovered too is that all the meals in the app use variations of smaller meal components. For example, it will use baked chicken that’s prepared the exact way every time. As a result, I feel like I’ve learned the basics about cooking chicken and can then begin to build and experiment from that foundation.

Not sure if this is in the app already, but an approximation about how many servings the meal will create—or a way to more prominently display this would be awesome. Perhaps too a way to see how well a meal is rated.

### 4/5 — Great app, but one thing...

*2018-08-08, version 1.2.2*

The app overall is amazing in my opinion, but I'm currently trying to find an app that allow me to cook based on what I have in my fridge. I saw in the description of this app that you can customize ingredients but I have no idea how to. Please add that option if you haven't yet and if you already added that option, try to make it more obvious next time please. Thanks

### 5/5 — Need the Keto diet

*2018-03-13, version 1.0.3*

I’m gonna go ahead and give it five stars, assuming you were going to put the keto diet on there, other than that it’s a great app

### 4/5 — Good so far

*2018-02-01, version 1.0.2*

I love how the recipes let you customize and how they show the calorie count! I hope that you keep adding more! This is such a great alternative to the expensive meal delivery services. The one thing I've found that could be improved, the shopping list. I love how it lets you plan a weeks worth of meals but the shopping list lists them still as 5 lists combined. If I need one onion one day and a second onion 3 days later, it has 1 onion in 2 places on the list rather than in one place saying 2 onions. Also it can be organized as produce, meats, spices etc. so that you can shop efficiently.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this fantastic feedback and we're so glad that you are saving money and enjoying home cooking with Innit! This is a great suggestion and we are going to release a new version of our shopping list in the coming weeks, so stay tuned and we hope you enjoy using it! Happy cooking, The Innit Team

### 5/5 — Picky eaters + non-chefs rejoice

*2018-01-22, version 1.0.2*

I’m a picky eater and love the ability to switch out ingredients. I actually like the fact that the number of recipes is limited; I’m trying to get in the habit of cooking at home and sometimes the sheer number of recipes out there is daunting. These are all fairly simple, and for me swapping out proteins, veg, and flavors provides the right amount of variety without making things too complicated. The shopping list feature is fantastic. UX/UI-wise I appreciate some of the details, e.g. how the recipe image updates when you switch out an ingredient. Finally, reading the reviews here, I love how responsive the developers are! I can see that they’ve already implemented a suggestion from a review written less than a month ago. Always great to see! Thanks for making this app, I have no doubt it will only continue to improve!

**Developer response:** Wow — thanks for making our day! We're so glad that you're liking the app and we can't wait to keep improving it for you 😁

We'd love to send you some special swag for taking the time to review us — if you're interested send us your T-shirt size and preferred mailing address to support@innit.com !

### 4/5 — Great, but...

*2018-01-22, version 1.0.2*

Love it! Great concept and can potentially make my life easier trying to eat healthier and get fit. However, there aren’t many options for vegetarians or option in general.
I’m hoping the meal plan with expand overtime considering this app seems fairly new still. I will definitely wait for it to grow.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for writing — we're so glad you're seeing the potential for Innit to make healthy cooking at home easy! We do have thousands of meals loaded, you can swipe down for more meal types (e.g. grain bowls, mains and sides, wraps and tacos, etc.) and you can swap out ingredients in each meal to make new delicious combinations. We're also constantly adding new recipes. Hope this helps and happy cooking!

### 4/5 — Amazing idea, lacking on preference gathering

*2018-01-06, version 1.0.1*

This is exactly what I need in my life! I’ve actually thought about an app like this and just happened to see a FB ad and was excited to try it. The only thing is that I really didn’t like the conversation style of gathering my tastes. I felt like I couldn’t say much because I had no idea what responses the app could take and it didn’t like my response to the diet question. I’d like if there was an easier way to click my preferences and to go back and edit them now. I’m a really picky eater and I’d just like a page with some options like the proteins and grains and be able to click which ones I don’t eat. I’ve just had to edit most of the suggested meals and sometimes that changed the name of the meal to say things that weren’t in it so it’s gonna be confusing when i try to make that meal. Also since I’m new to the app I don’t if this is an option yet or not but I’d like to be able to search general categories.

**Developer response:** So glad that you found your way to Innit and that this is what you feel you need in your life! :) I'm so sorry the onboarding style was confusing for you — we appreciate your sharing that feedback. There is in fact a way that you can edit your meal preferences now that your account is set up. You'll want to click the little green hamburger, then your name (your profile) and then click "allergies," where you can filter out for any foods you want to avoid and "diets," where you can select any particular way of eating you like to follow (e.g. paleo and/or vegetarian). Please don't hesitate to reach out to support@innit.com if you have questions in the future. Happy cooking!

### 4/5 — Love but wish I could link or share

*2018-01-05, version 1.0.1*

I really love it so far and I can’t wait to use the Lets Cook feature. I’m really hoping that in the near future it will be possible to like my account with my husbands and share recipes to him so we can plan our weekly meals together. Xoxo

### 4/5 — Needs more recipes for vegans

*2017-12-31, version 1.0.1*

This app is beautifully designed, easy to use, helpful and simple. My only complaint is there are very few recipes for vegans

### 5/5 — This app is great

*2017-12-21, version 1.0.1*

I am o my going to be harsh because it seems they only provide meals for lunch or dinner but I can’t seem to find anything that may be suitable for breakfast oh well beggars can’t be choosers this app is the best I’ve used so far for what I’m looking for it to do!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointed...

*2018-10-09, version 1.2.4*

Thought this app would help with preparing healthier meals & provide better options that I would like...I was wrong.

Many of these recipes are filled with heavy sauces, high sodium, cholesterol, fat, & sugars. All items my doctor has requested me to lower.
Plus the allergy & dislike options are very limited but yet the app still seems to suggest items from these lists.
An ideal app for myself/family would be one that I can select the majority of foods we like & can eat, then be given recipe options to select from.

Also, a person should be allowed to actually view the app in it’s entirety before being required to register.

Hopefully your developers take these suggestions seriously and make improvements to the app.
Have a blessed day.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience — we really appreciate hearing from users like you as it helps us to constantly improve the app. We are always adding more healthy meal options and working on augmenting our filter set to support a much wider range of allergies and dietary needs. In the mean time, you can customize many of our meals by swapping out ingredients you can't eat for ingredients you can. If you have any additional feedback for us, please email us at support@innit.com. Thank you for sharing, we really appreciate your feedback.

### 1/5 — Very Limited Options

*2018-04-05, version 1.0.4*

Great idea for an app, but needs a lot more customization options. I follow a low-FODMAP diet for IBS management, and there are no options for this, nor a way to customize which foods I am sensitive to - there is only a pre-populated list to choose from. Also, I did not like the pretend chat-style intro. Would be smoother and less confusing to have pages with checklists to go through at startup.

### 1/5 — Good idea but not for me!

*2018-01-06, version 1.0.1*

I really like the concept/idea of this app! But I don’t like it at all and deleted it immediately. I love the idea of looking at the recipe and being able to switch things out like the proteins and grains, ect. I also really like how the app shows you the time frame of how long to take at each step of the cooking process for the recipe. That actually the main reason I downloaded the app. I struggle with timing when it comes to cooking. I am easily bored with eating the same thing over and over again. So when this app showed me a limited amount of recipes I was not happy! I get that you can switch things out but your still making the same thing over and over again! Pasta, fish, rice or quinoa bowls. Just switching out different proteins, grains or other parts of the recipe isn’t enough. You need to get a lot more reprices on this app to make useful or successful. Really disappointed at the few choices for meals on here! I know the new iPhone has a lot more space on it but with only a limited type of meals to choose from this app is a total waste of space. I like using Pinterest and Yummly much more!

**Developer response:** We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the step by step instructions for meal orchestration. Thank you for sharing your feedback about what you didn't love — we're really value feedback from users like you. We're sorry that you had a hard time finding as many meal options as you'd like! We show a few meals at a time based on category (e.g. salads, mains and sides, grain bowls, etc.) If you swipe down on any meal screen, you will have the option to chose other meal types and you’ll see more meal options. Swapping proteins, grains, veggies, and flavors, and flavors like you mentioned actually opens up thousands of unique meal options. We are also constantly adding meals as quickly as our culinary team can cook them up! If you’re having trouble finding more meals on the app please don’t hesitate to email us at support@innit.com and we’d love to send screenshots or walk you through. We hope we can continue to support you in your shopping, prepping, and cooking needs.

### 1/5 — I must be missing something

*2018-01-05, version 1.0.1*

Uhm..... I must be missing something or the 60 ppl that reviewed are associated with it. There are only like 5 recipes and it’s completely interchanged with pork, chicken, salmon, etc... it’s a total joke. On the plus side I could totally see this being something if they had more than 5 to 10 recipes but for now don’t waste your time or space

### 1/5 — Not what I thought

*2017-12-19, version 1.0.1*

This is the first review I have ever made and I’m doing not because I saw this app on the news. Tyler Florence was endorsing this app. I downloaded it and checked it out. This was not what I thought at all. I could not find how to search for a recipe. I immediately deleted this app. I wouldn’t waste your time on downloading it. If you want a great food app go to the App Store and get IN THE KITCHEN. Now that’s a great app. Hope this helps you pick a good cooking app.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2018-11-29, version 1.3.5*

Very few meal options, unless you’re a vegan/vegetarian or enjoy eating the same meal every day with different sides.

You’re better off going to Pinterest.

I also thought they would recommend meals, but you have to find them yourself. The few they picked out where the opposite of what I enjoy.

They definitely don’t ask enough questions to get to know your flavour profile.

### 3/5 — Getting Started

*2019-03-18, version 1.3.5*

LOOKS like it could be a great app. First hurdle is the limited allergen and food avoidance choices. I can’t eat a list of items including red meat, xanthan gum, asparagus. Don’t find any option to specifically limit those.

### 3/5 — Good but needs new recipes

*2018-03-14, version 1.0.3*

I really like this app and have used it quite a bit I love that it provides a grocery list for you. My only thing is that I wish the recipes would change. I’ve never had a new set of recipes it’s all the same handful so I’ve lost interest since I’ve tried all of them.

### 4/5 — Saves money and time

*2023-01-18, version 2.80*

Love it, saves time and money. Better concept that meal kits delivery companies.

### 4/5 — Neat but not quite enough

*2018-10-18, version 1.2.4*

I like being able to switch out ingredients and put in our allergies and dislikes. I only wish there were more things in the “dislikes” options. There are a lot more common ingredients I don’t like and can’t handle like coconut and cheese. I got around the cheese bit by selecting the no dairy diet, but it does get frustrating to pull up a recipe and then find there’s still something I don’t like in it.

Delicious and easy meal ideas abound in this app. Helpful and fun!

### 5/5 — Beautiful layouts

*2020-08-18, version 2.63.0*

They made this app with conviene in mind. I just downloaded this app and so far I have been nothing but satisfied. We all know the struggle of downloading a cooking app just to find out you do not have most of the ingredients it takes to make majority of the recipes. This app does not have that problem because you can choose to customize certain recipes to your liking which I find so convenient.
