### 1/5 — Member feedback

*2026-05-19, version 1.2.6*

I have subscribed to this app for three months and I didn’t get any referrals at all. It seems like they didn’t even try to find any matches for me. Very disappointing in the level of service and unprofessionalism . I don’t want to call it a scam , but I will give my feedback to my masjid leadership so the rest of the community gets more informed about this app.

### 1/5 — I tried

*2026-05-01, version 1.2.5*

I gave this 3 months to see what happened. I couldn’t find anyone out of all those months only a total of 3 matches all were unsuitable but the last one I said yes out of desperation (he had a kid) just to find out he rejected me anyway lol.

I know one personal success story and this app isn’t made for every Muslim it is made for “select” Muslims. I was super angry that they don’t read what people put in and only wanted to pair me with people who had already fully lived their lives. They are like every masjid attempting to make you settle on people based on your age or race with a major splash of cast system.

### 1/5 — no profiles seen until you pay

*2026-04-25, version 1.2.4*

i just don’t get the concept of the app , why do i not see any profiles whatsoever and its been a month

### 1/5 — not free

*2026-04-08, version 1.2.1*

ridiculous that there is no indication that you need to pay to be able to use the app. are only rich people allowed to get married? why make us go through the entire process of answering 50 questions with huge paragraphs if we can’t do anything unless we pay? and plenty of people say they keep charging even when you cancel or don’t match. this is insane.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-04-06, version 1.2.0*

It doesn’t work. Please do your research before paying for any subscription.

### 1/5 — Not worth the wait

*2026-03-29, version 1.2.0*

I did the mixed plan, out of 6 match waves I got 2 matches that are nothing like I was expecting or close to what I would accept unfortunately. Quality needs time but it wasn’t the quality that I expected at all. I think it’s not worth the try

### 1/5 — Cancellation is so difficult

*2026-03-21*

They randomly send you a match each drop and the same unserious ppl on other apps. Some matches don’t even reply. The worst part is you won’t easily cancel your subscription abd they’ll keep charging your card. Even canceling the card with your bank won’t work. Very disappointed with this experience.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2026-03-15, version 1.1.8*

I signed up. Made my account. Now I am in the page that says let’s find your naseed but it won’t swipe to the next page. Any ideas?

### 1/5 — I got Scammed

*2026-03-13, version 1.1.8*

They asked for me to pay and they said i will be refunded if i didnt get a match and ive been on this app for a while i didnt get matched and they said i am not eligible for refund even though i completed my profile i entered everything there is to enter and when i tried to get my refund they said not eligible i also read and followed there entire refund policy. I already had a bad feeling about it from the beginning and i should have listened to my heart about this App

### 1/5 — Paid service ONLY

*2026-02-21, version 1.1.6*

I didn’t realize you had to pay to use this app. I took my time to fill out the lengthy profile only to be told at the end now pay us to be matched. Wish they were more upfront about it. I don’t know what their pool looks like given not everyone will want to pay to have their profile considered. Are there any testimonials?

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-02-20, version 1.1.6*

No mutual matches

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-01-28, version 1.1.2*

So you have to pay to be matched with someone this app is ridiculous and not for me. I thought you get paired with people and talk but no this app is a waste of my time.

### 1/5 — No matches

*2026-01-27, version 1.1.1*

I’ve been on the app 2 months no matches at all. Filled everything out and it still says missing info when I literally filled everything out. Don’t get the masjid option if your masjid isn’t part of their initiative because you won’t match ever through it, so it’s a waste of money honestly. Had more hope for this app but it’s not worth your coin.

### 1/5 — Can’t Even Create an Account

*2026-01-15, version 1.0.8*

First time ever downloading the app and I get “access denied” errors.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Good idea on paper but poor execution.

*2026-08-29, version 1.4.0*

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكا تُه

This app overall is not worth the money. You pay 25-35 a month for potential matches, potential being key word. I have been using this app on and off and I just can’t get over the fact that I think the value is just not there. I’m not paying half my phone bill/ 300 dollars a year towards this service. I’ve tried to give this app a chance and have been using it on and off, but it keeps proving why I decide to get off of it in the first place.

Refund policy is pretty bad, if you received potential matches you are ineligible for a refund, so sometimes they give you poor “matches” clearly against what you’re looking for, so you can’t get a refund. I’ve seen other reviews talk about it too.

I like features of matchmakers. And the idea of swiping not being part of the app and genuine connections. I just feel like it wasn’t for me and I use different apps that I feel are worth the value. I won’t say specific apps to be respectful.

I think this app is a waste of time, energy and money. I think you’re better off taking that 25-35 dollars a month, and saving it towards mahr, or a different service, (which I have done. I haven’t found a spouse or potential partner yet but the experience has been way better.) , or just take that 25 and put it into sadaqah and increase your status in jannah. Thats how much I don’t think this service is worth it. Three to six “potential” matches a month isn’t good enough for people actively looking to get married. There is still a lot of factors that go into getting married and waiting a long time just to get a potential match isn’t worth it to me. I even deactivated my account, they released a new feature where past members can still be involved in matches, but not a priority, which is pretty meh. A poor attempt to get you back on the platform. I didn’t respond to the email, they personally opted me in without me doing anything, and now I get emails that they couldn’t find me a match. lol like cmon. No hard feelings.

May Allah ease our efforts to get married.

السلام عليكم

### 1/5 — Paid Subscription, But No Relevant Matches

*2026-08-03, version 1.3.5*

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this app was very disappointing.

The onboarding process takes a long time, with countless questions about your values, lifestyle, and spouse preferences. You naturally assume that all of this information will be used to provide high-quality, compatible matches. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience.

After paying for a subscription, I waited nearly 20 days and received only three matches. Two of them did not meet one of my clearly stated non-negotiable preferences (wearing hijab), and the third was from another country, even though I was looking for someone in the United States. Calling these “potential matches” doesn’t make sense when they ignore the basic preferences I specifically provided.

Another issue is transparency. The App Store listing doesn’t make it obvious that many of the app’s core features require a paid subscription. Users spend a significant amount of time completing the profile, only to discover at the end that they need to pay. After investing both time and money, I expected much better results.

I’ve used other Muslim matrimonial apps that provide more relevant matches and better value. Based on my experience, this app did not meet my expectations, and I can’t recommend paying for a subscription unless the matching system becomes much more accurate and transparent.

### 1/5 — Cancellation is so difficult

*2026-07-30, version 1.3.5*

They randomly send you a match each drop and the same unserious ppl on other apps. Some matches don’t even reply. The worst part is you won’t easily cancel your subscription abd they’ll keep charging your card. Even canceling the card with your bank won’t work. Very disappointed with this experience.

### 1/5 — Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

*2026-07-29, version 1.3.5*

I had really high hopes for InPairs, especially because I knew about the founder from the very early days. I even tried helping by exploring collaborations with local masjids here in Vancouver because I genuinely believed in the vision. That’s why writing this is disappointing.

The experience, however, has been nowhere close to what is promised.

First, waiting an entire month just to receive a match is already a long time. But the bigger issue is that when the matches finally arrive, they don’t resemble what is described in the app or what my preferences indicate. They honestly feel automated as if an AI is simply matching keywords from profiles and intentions rather than evaluating real compatibility between two people.

The app markets itself as a halal matchmaking platform that carefully curates some of the best possible matches. That promise is what makes people choose InPairs over apps like Muzz or Salams. People come here because they are serious about marriage, not because they want to endlessly swipe through profiles.

Marriage is one of the biggest and most life-changing decisions a person will ever make. When someone trusts your platform, they are trusting you with something incredibly important. That trust deserves effort.

Instead, the matches I’ve received make it feel like I’m just being shown the leftover crowd with little or no thought put into why we would actually be compatible. That’s a terrible feeling after waiting an entire month.

If I simply wanted random introductions, I could have gone to Muzz or Salams and swiped through hundreds of profiles myself. The whole reason people choose InPairs is because they expect human-level thought, curation, and compatibility, not an algorithm that appears to match profile descriptions.

I genuinely believe your matching process needs to be completely rethought. Either invest in significantly improving the algorithm or hire people who truly understand compatibility. Honestly, I would do a better job myself not just from a marketing perspective but from a matchmaking perspective as well.

Compatibility is not about matching a few profile descriptions. The easiest way to understand someone is by asking meaningful questions that reveal their values, personality, and outlook on life.

For example:

* What’s your favourite surah, and why?
* What are your thoughts on splitting household finances or bills?
* What does hijab mean to you?
* How do you resolve disagreements?
* What role should Islamic knowledge play in a marriage?
* What does leadership and partnership in a marriage look like to you?

You could also incorporate a validated personality assessment that identifies whether someone is compassionate, calm, analytical, emotionally expressive, conflict-avoidant, ambitious, and so on. Those insights are far more valuable than simply matching profile descriptions.

Right now, it feels like InPairs is selling the idea of premium, intentional, halal matchmaking while delivering something that doesn’t justify the wait or the expectations it creates.

I say all of this because I wanted this platform to succeed. I believed in it enough to advocate for it within my own community. But after experiencing it firsthand, I honestly can’t recommend it with confidence.

This feedback isn’t coming from someone who wants to complain. It’s coming from someone who genuinely believed in your mission and is disappointed because the product has so much potential but falls far short of what it promises.

Please take this seriously. People aren’t trusting you with a food delivery or a shopping purchase, they’re trusting you with one of the most important decisions of their lives. That deserves far more care, intention, and effort than what the current experience reflects.

### 1/5 — What’s your IG handle?

*2026-07-26, version 1.3.5*

I don’t use IG. I am on LinkedIn though, why didn’t you give me the option to use my LinkedIn?

LinkedIn should absolutely be an option alongside IG.

### 1/5 — Not worth it!

*2026-07-16, version 1.3.3*

No matches were provided by the end of the month, and no off-cycle matches were made available either. I was denied a refund even though the refund policy clearly states that a refund will be issued if there are “no matches.”

### 1/5 — Waste of Time and Money

*2026-06-28, version 1.3.1*

Absolutely a waste of time and money, everyone I talk to says the same. You pay for a set of matches often times to only get one match that sucks and then no more even though you’ve paid for three/six matches. Intentional matching?? It’s AI people, there is no human touch to this, I’d prefer to go through myself in that case. I don’t think it’s worth your time or money, because the platform obviously doesn’t care enough to make actual matches or to hire people to make the matches. I’m genuinely so upset over this.

### 1/5 — Very inaccurate

*2026-06-28, version 1.3.1*

This app is very disappointing. I put a lot of time and effort to create a professional high value profile that matches my lifestyle and is very accurate about my high standards. How ever I get very disappointing matches. It’s literally insulting!

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-06-27, version 1.3.1*

Total waste of money. This app steals your money and does nothing with it. Most rounds they won’t find you anyone at all or someone completely outside your criteria. Free apps are better than this one.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-05-27, version 1.2.8*

App is genuine trash. You pay, then they won’t show you any matches for a couple weeks. Finally they show you one (because if they don’t you can ask for a refund), and it’ll be someone in another country who fits zero of your requirements.

It was a total waste of time. Don’t bother, use one of the bigger apps instead.

Alhamdulilah extremely helpful and easy to use

### 5/5 — Thoughtful and Intentional

*2026-01-16, version 1.0.9*

I really appreciate how intentional and value based this app is. It encourages clarity, maturity, and seriousness about marriage rather than in the swiping.

### 5/5 — Masha Allah

*2026-01-12, version 1.0.8*

Very user-friendly, straight to the point, includes every preference for the partner selection. May Allah give barakah to the app developers and contributors and accept their good deeds, Aameen. May Allah also help each and every person to find their naseeb partner, Aameen.

### 5/5 — feels way better than the web-app. great experience

*2026-01-02, version 1.0.4*

i like this design better than the web-app. also i just joined the platform and have received a match that was already spot on. great product mA

### 5/5 — Intuitive

*2025-12-30, version 1.0.4*

The In Pairs app is definitely more intuitive and purposeful for getting matched with a compatible individual. I have recently signed up and currently in the midst of making my profile. So far it’s been pretty easy to set up.

### 5/5 — Inpairs

*2025-12-30, version 1.0.4*

I like the concept behind inpairs! The app also makes everything so easy to access.

### 5/5 — My Initial Thoughts

*2025-12-29, version 1.0.4*

I’ve only done the sign up so far. It’s pretty tedious, but I don’t mind the initial investment as long as it pays dividends, you know? There’s some jokes left by the developers, and most of them do hit (humor is hard, I know). The UI is perhaps the biggest highlight for me, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Easy to read, and easy to understand.
