## What is INR Tracker?

INR Tracker is a personal logbook for people taking warfarin. It records the INR results, doses, vitamin K, activity, and events you enter, and shows them back to you as lists, charts, and a printable report — nothing more.

What you can record
- INR test results, with the date
- Your warfarin dose schedule as a weekday pattern, and which doses you actually took — the weekly total is worked out automatically from what you enter, never typed in separately
- Vitamin K intake, from a food reference list or as a precise figure you enter yourself
- Physical activity — type, duration, and intensity
- Body weight and alcohol units, one figure per day
- Other health events, such as a new or stopped medication, illness, or a change in weight, as a dated entry

Reminders
Set your own schedule for test reminders and clinic-report reminders. Reminders fire on the schedule you set.

Charts and a timeline
See your recorded readings, doses, vitamin K, and activity laid out on shared timelines you can read side by side. You see exactly what you entered — nothing is scored, labelled, or rated.

A report for your clinic
Generate a printable PDF of your recorded data to bring or send to your clinic, and mark reports as sent.

Your data, on your device
Everything you record is stored encrypted on your device. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no advertising or analytics tracking of any kind. Export a backup any time, encrypted if you give it a passphrase, and restore it later. Photos you attach are stored encrypted on your device too, with location data removed, and are included in the backups you make. Workouts and weight you import from Apple Health are stored the same way: the app reads them only while you use Import from Health, never writes anything to Apple Health, and never sends them to us or anyone else; they leave your device only in a backup, export or report you make. When you scan your meter, the photo is read on your device by Apple's built-in text recognition and is not kept.

What this app does not do
This app records what you enter. It does not calculate a dose, interpret a result, or predict an outcome. It does not check for drug interactions. Decisions about your dose and your care are your clinic's, not the app's. INR Tracker is not a substitute for professional medical care and is not a medical device.

Your INR timeline chart is free. A one-time purchase unlocks five further charts — weekly dose, vitamin K and activity on shared timelines with it, plus consistency and an INR range summary — two charts that put your recorded weight and alcohol units on a timeline with your INR, importing workouts and weight from Apple Health (read only, while you use the import screen), a "since your last report" summary with a detailed clinic email, the PDF clinic-report export, a printable dose calendar (a month of planned doses from your recorded schedule), an annual logbook (a year of your records, month by month), photos attached to INR readings, dose schedules and health events (a meter display or a clinic dose letter, for example), scanning your meter's display with the camera to fill in an INR reading, which you check and save yourself, a home-screen widget with today's dose, your next test day and the days until your next clinic report, matching lock-screen widgets that never show the dose amount, and Siri requests to log today's dose or an INR reading, which the app asks you to confirm before anything is recorded. The lock-screen widgets and Siri requests need iOS 16 or later. Recording (weight and alcohol included), reminders, emailing a reading to your clinic, and full backup/restore are free, always.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-01

Weight and alcohol

Record your body weight and your alcohol units, one figure for each per day, from Quick add. They sit in your Diary with the rest of your entries. Weight can be shown in kg, in stones and pounds or in pounds: Settings, Weight unit. Recording them is free.

Weight and alcohol beside your INR

Two more Trends charts, INR and weight over time and INR and alcohol over time, draw what you recorded on a shared timeline with your INR readings. If you saved a Trends layout of your own, both are added after the charts you show; Customise Trends switches them off.

Import from Health

Settings, Import from Health, copies workouts and weight from Apple Health into your log. It reads Apple Health only while you use that screen: after you tap Continue it reads the days since your last import, or the last 90 if there has been none, shows what it found, and adds nothing until you tap Import. You can then choose other dates. A workout becomes an activity entry and is never imported twice, and a weight you entered yourself is never replaced. INR Tracker writes nothing to Apple Health.

Scan your meter

On the INR entry screen, Scan meter takes a photo of your meter's display. Apple's text recognition reads it on your iPhone, and the app shows the figure it found and asks whether it is the reading on your meter. It reads the figure and not the unit, so check it against your meter. Nothing is saved until you tap Save, and the photo is not kept. Where it cannot offer one figure as the reading, two figures at the same size for example, it says "No reading was taken from that photo." and you type the reading instead.

Clinic report dates on the widgets

The home-screen and lock-screen widgets now show the days until your next clinic report whatever reminder days the report has. Earlier versions showed it only for a report with a reminder on the day it was due.

Import from Health, the two charts and scanning your meter are part of the one-time purchase. Recording weight and alcohol is free, and recording, reminders, the INR timeline, the plain clinic email, and full backup and restore stay free.

Everything you record, imported workouts and weight included, is still kept encrypted on your device.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-30

Photos with your records

Attach a photo to an INR reading, a dose schedule or a health event — a meter display or a clinic dose letter, for example. Photos are stored encrypted on your device with location data removed, and travel in the backups you make.

Today's dose without opening the app

A home-screen widget shows today's dose, your next test day and the days until your next clinic report. On iPhone there are matching lock-screen widgets, which show whether a dose is due or recorded and never the amount, and two Siri requests — "I took my warfarin" and "Log my INR". Neither records anything by itself: "Log my INR" opens INR entry in the app with the value filled in, to save there, and "I took my warfarin" asks you to open the app, which then asks you to confirm. The lock-screen widgets and the Siri requests need iOS 16 or later.

Doses as you entered them

A dose of 1.25 mg now reads 1.25 mg everywhere: on Today, in your diary, in reminders, in the clinic report and on the printed dose calendar. Earlier versions wrote every dose to one decimal place, so 1.25 mg appeared as 1.3 mg. And where the tablet strengths you have marked active do not add up to the whole dose, Today's card no longer names them.

Doses saved by an earlier version

Earlier versions could also save the rounded figure: a dose schedule saved in an earlier version, or a dose edited in the diary, kept 1.3 mg where 1.25 mg had been entered. This version shows every figure as stored, and cannot tell a figure rounded that way from one entered that way, so nothing has been rewritten. Anyone who takes part of a tablet can see what their own schedule and diary hold.

Reminders from the schedule for the day

A dose reminder now reads the schedule that applies on the day it is due. Earlier versions used the schedule saved most recently, so entering a schedule to start on a later date changed the reminders for the days before it started, and a day the new schedule left without a dose had no reminder.

Reminders on every device

A device can report its time zone under an older name than earlier versions knew. On such a device no reminder was scheduled at all, for a test, a dose or a clinic report, and nothing on screen said so. The app now carries the full time zone database, older names included.

Corrections keep the reading's day

Correcting a reading no longer changes the day it is filed under. Earlier versions worked that day out afresh from the time zone the device was in, and wrote that zone over the one the reading was recorded in, every time a reading was saved — so fixing a typo in a reading you recorded in another country could move it to another day. An edit now leaves the day, the time and the zone as they were, unless you confirm a date and time in the picker yourself.

The alert threshold as you type it

When you first set a target range, the alert threshold under it now follows the range until you type into the threshold yourself. Earlier versions copied the range once, before its second figure was finished, so 2.5 to 3.5 could leave a threshold of 2.5 to 3. Settings, Target range & alert threshold, shows yours.

Smaller changes

The line under the vitamin K chart's shift slider now says what the slider does.

Every dose field now carries a line saying what the field takes: up to three digits before the decimal point and three after it. Earlier versions said nothing about what a dose field would accept, and accepted any number of digits on either side of the point.

Recording a dose as partial or skipped now stops that day's "Dose not recorded" reminder, as recording it as taken always did.

Photos, the widgets and the Siri requests are part of the one-time purchase. Viewing and deleting photos already attached is always free, and recording, reminders, the INR timeline, the plain clinic email, and full backup and restore stay free.

Everything you record, photos included, is still kept encrypted on your device.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-30

Since your last report

A summary of what you have recorded since your last clinic report — readings, dose changes, doses not taken, vitamin K, activity and health events — on the Today screen and in the detailed clinic email.

Trends your way

In Settings, Customise Trends reorders the chart cards and switches off the ones you do not use — the INR timeline always stays. Your layout is remembered.

More to take to your clinic

Choose which sections go into the clinic report, and print two new documents: a dose calendar, which lays out the schedule you entered day by day, and an annual logbook of your records, month by month.

The since-your-last-report summary, the detailed clinic email and the PDF documents — clinic report, dose calendar and annual logbook — are part of the one-time purchase. Recording, reminders, the INR timeline, the plain clinic email and full backup and restore stay free.

Everything still stays in an encrypted database on your device.
