Everyone else is behind a paywall. Could be great, but you will need to pay to use **Developer response:** Maintaining the app costs us money. We try to make the app useful even if you don't want to pay. We will consider making more portfolios free in the future. ### 2/5 — Started charging for what was free *2026-05-07* Recent update for “minor bug fixes” has blocked me out of viewing portfolios and now have to pay their hefty subscription fee to see it. This app was convenient, not necessary it isn’t hard to find recent trades by congress. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback and fair point. The recent update introduced subscription limits on some portfolio features, which understandably frustrated users who were previously accessing them for free. We’re still trying to find the right balance between keeping useful features accessible while supporting the costs of maintaining and improving the platform. That said, we hear the feedback regarding pricing and feature access, and we’re continuing to improve both the product and overall experience. ### 4/5 — Useful for information *2026-03-28* The app is useful. I really like the UI; it’s clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. The stock information is useful and I also like being able to view different politicians and their activity. A downside of this app is that the app sometimes asks me to log in more often than I expected, which can be annoying and I am still waiting for the Robinhood integration. They automatically charge you for 3 months if signed up for trial *2026-08-14* They automatically charged me during the trial period itself for 3 months with no option to cancel. Also they mostly tell you about buys/sells long after the trade so by the time the news come to you, its very late to make decision based on it. ### 1/5 — Free Promo error *2026-06-27* Linked a brokerage account to get 1 year free.. can’t claim free offer. The app shows you data, and notifies you when politicians disclose news trades. And some features are not even available yet **Developer response:** We encourage users to view the public disclosures themselves for free in the government website. Insiderwave makes it easier for serious investors to track politicians' trades, view their full portfolios and stats, as well as get notifications as soon as they disclose new trades. Most users save hours a week using the app instead of the messy government website disclosures. ### 1/5 — Beware of the “Free Trial” *2026-05-27* Beware of the free trial. 7-day free trial just locked me in for three months even when I cancelled the day after signing up. The “support” page for the app is a dead link. Info on the app may be useful for some but you can find it elsewhere for free **Developer response:** The free trial DOES NOT lock you in for three months. You must have accidentally selected it instead of canceling your trial.
