### 2/5 — Not bad but doesn’t import nutrition from Apple Health (or anywhere at all)

*2025-12-23, version 3.5.0*

App looks ok for blood tests and summarizes data nicely, showing you changes in blood markers over time. It’s good it integrates with Apple Health but it doesn’t seem to read any historical data (didn’t show any of my weekly exercise or get my height, weight or body composition). It also has absolutely no way of importing nutrition data - neither from Apple Health nor anywhere else. I already use another application to track micronutrients and macros (cronometer), I’m certainly not going to log twice into this app.

### 2/5 — Could be a lot better

*2025-06-11, version 3.2.0*

Great concept but app is just full of bugs and seemingly archaic

### 4/5 — Works fairly well, except nutrition deep dive

*2025-06-04*

I’ve been using the app for around 18 months. I think I’ve used most of the features, but decided I’d like more nutrition information. Attempting to enter foods and supplements not the app is cumbersome at best and nonworking at worst. Scanning an item or barcode returns only wrong items, heats up phone until it shuts down and wastes battery life terribly. I could watch the battery drop rapidly from 50 to 42 to 30%, etc. while returning only invalid results. Adding the items manually is not great. Though I would like the suggestions, I’m not sure I’ll use this long enough to receive results.

### 3/5 — Some things don’t work

*2025-03-27, version 2.9.5*

The “how to improve” tab says there’s no science backed recommendations at this time for every single category. The website shows them. But then on the website the learn tab sometimes says oops there’s an error, but the app shows it. The data is great, but for the cost of testing and the platform, you’d expect it to be error free for these basic functions.

### 2/5 — Great Insights, but Technical Issues Need Fixing

*2025-02-11, version 2.9.5*

I’ve been using InsideTracker on my iPhone for a while now, and overall, I love the app and the wealth of information it provides. The insights into my health and wellness have been incredibly valuable, and I appreciate the science-backed recommendations.

That said, there are some frustrating aspects that need improvement. First, the blood test upload feature didn’t work for me, so I had to forward my results to the helpdesk. To their credit, they uploaded them the next day, but this is a feature that should work seamlessly within the app.

Secondly, syncing my workouts has been an ongoing issue. It worked initially, but then stopped, and despite multiple attempts to contact support, I haven’t received a solution yet. Given how important activity tracking is to the overall experience, this has been disappointing.

I still think InsideTracker is a great tool, but I hope they improve these technical issues to make it even better.

### 2/5 — Buggy and not synced to web

*2025-01-05, version 2.9.0*

The website is a lot more robust. Don’t expect to have the same capability from the app.

### 2/5 — Good info, app is awful

*2024-12-19, version 2.8.2*

For the price of the service the app needs a lot more time and investment. It feels like wrapper for web views and that simply performs horribly. A majority of the things I try to click on never load any of their content as far as recommendations or trying to get details on my results. The website works fine but don’t just press that into app form and expect it to fit the bill.

The integration with HealthKit definitely needs work. It seems the only value it can consistently pull is my step count and hit or miss on workouts. I’ve yet to see it ever pull in sleep or any other data that is always available in the Health app on iOS. I’ve tried relaunching the app, reconnecting, and more with no progress getting it to read the values that come from my Garmin I wear regularly.

At present the app is of no value to me because it simply never functions as it should any time I open it. The login screen is weird and you get stuck in a loop unable to dismiss the keyboard unless you’re inside a text field when you try. I initially enter username and pw then checked remember me only to be stuck without dismissing the keyboard so I couldn’t even hit the login button. These are just a few of the issues I’ve run into using the app for less than a week and maybe a handful of times at best.

### 3/5 — Great information, buggy app

*2024-12-04*

I’ve been an InsideTracker customer for over three years. The marketing and product teams are great. Offering monthly webinars on the science behind InsideTracker and how to use the app. My one complaint has to do with logging into the app. Recently, something changed and there are issues logging in. I’ve tried both logging in using userid/pswd and FaceId. More often than not, I encounter a situation where the login screen cycles continuously requiring me to close the app and try again. Other times, I check “keep me logged in” but it doesn’t do so. Once I’m in the app, things seem to work well. The information is great and actionable. I look forward to having the login issue fixed.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback about the InsideTracker app. The Garmin integration should be up and running now and we sincerely apologize about any inconvenience you've faced. If you or your wife have any further questions or feedback about our app, please let us know at support@insidetracker.com. We would be happy to help and thank you both again for being an InsideTracker customer!

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2024-11-03*

This app is great when it works. It is very glitchy and might open to you info if you are lucky.

### 2/5 — Quite buggy

*2024-08-20*

There’s quite a lot bugs and glitches and lack of attention to detail, consistently, and I’ve been a user for over a year. Latest issue - I manually added a biomarker on the web version and now can’t open the mobile app, which is the only way to log my food since it doesn’t seem to be available on the web version (which is a weird choice). And on the web version the Dashboard by Category still shows the biomarker I updated as unoptimized based on prior data, not the new number I manually entered, which is now optimized. Support advised the only way to see it updated is to upload “the full panel” which shouldn’t matter if you allow manual upload. If I can’t use the mobile app, I’m not sure how to continue usage.

### 1/5 — Wrong Results

*2024-06-25, version 2.4.1*

I received my results and they were completely off. I mentioned the numbers did not make sense. They tried to convince me it was right. I went to a proper doctor three weeks later and realized their measures were all wrong. I got scared for no reason and threw a lot of money in the garbage. Stay away from InsideTracker and look for a normal doctor. It's cheaper and more reliable.

### 1/5 — Cannot open app

*2024-05-23, version 2.4.0*

I’ve downloaded the app, followed the instructions and been in touch with Support for the past three days and they have no idea what’s happening either. Not impressed.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on smaller iPhones

*2024-05-10, version 2.4.0*

The app is formatted for larger screens. In fact, you can’t even log into the app because the login button is on the bottom below the screen with no way to scroll. This is on a brand new iPhone SE which is still produced and sold by Apple.

### 2/5 — Unfinished

*2024-04-17, version 2.3.2*

Half the pages open in an embedded browser.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App Doesn't Work

*2025-10-31, version 3.4.0*

App doesn’t work at all anymore

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-09-04, version 3.3.1*

I spent quite a bit of money to purchase a blood draw and received good feedback. Unfortunately when they switched to subscription model they deleted all my feedback and recommendations. So now I basically have an $800 blood draw that would have cost me $50-$100 bucks at quest. Do not trust this company with your medical information, they are completely untrustworthy.

### 1/5 — The Goffz otfx

*2025-07-11, version 3.2.5*

### 1/5 — Simply Does Not Work !!

*2025-04-16*

This app has never worked on my iPhone, reported to the company support and the promised the new release by April 8, 25 supposed to fix it but it didn’t,
Can’t believe how this garbage is even allowed to be released on Apple Store!!!

### 1/5 — Tests expire

*2025-02-04, version 2.9.5*

I was saving a blood draw I bought because I had surgery and had a lot of blood draws I had to get, only to find out a purchase expires after 2 years. No refunds, just completely out of the money.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2024-12-07, version 2.8.2*

The app is some poor web app that is buggy and unhelpful.

Inside tracker the company lets tests you pay a lot of money for expire to pad their pockets. These are tests that costs hundreds of dollars each that have a 2 year date to redeem, and if you don’t redeem you are out of luck.

### 1/5 — Just downloaded stuck in next steps/ welcome loop

*2024-08-24, version 2.6.1*

so far, not good. I’ve had a plan to the website and uploaded all my information months ago. just downloaded the app to connect my Apple Watch. The app is stuck in this loop, and no customer support in the weekend.

### 1/5 — So far below expectations

*2024-08-05, version 2.5.0*

I load the app and it constantly wants me “to view in the app” which is already what I’m doing. Ask a simple question about how to print results and get a diatribe on how to upload results….not close to answering the question. I don’t see the applicable ranges for any of the tests. I have less information for mine expense that if I had just done this on my own. Quite disappointing!!

### 1/5 — App never seems to work.

*2024-08-03*

The app worked a bit a year or 2 ago. Haven’t been able to get passed the logo screen since. I’m using g the latest iOS and the app is up to date.

### 1/5 — Slow, buggy, useless, hard to follow

*2024-07-30, version 2.5.0*

Can’t believe I paid money for a test that tells me so little

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple unprompted insights

*2025-11-13, version 3.4.0*

Love that the app pulls in my tracking and bio marker data to make unprompted recommendations based on my habits and data

### 5/5 — A very satisfied customer

*2025-11-05, version 3.4.0*

InsideTracker gives me science-backed insights into my blood results, helping me understand exactly how my body’s performing. Their recommendations are clear and actionable, and I’ve seen measurable results since following them.

### 5/5 — The health data I didn’t know was available to me

*2025-10-14, version 3.3.6*

It’s been so helpful and cool to get my blood results that map out specifically what ranges apply to me (age, gender). Then to have each biomarker defined and explained, and how to make them better, has given me a level of personalization I haven’t ever had before. The app is easy to use and full of tools and info.

### 5/5 — Great app for health tracking

*2025-09-29, version 3.3.5*

I compared with Function Health but I chose this because they’ve been around for much longer and don’t appear to be VC backed.

### 5/5 — The best biomarker analysis service

*2025-06-19*

I’ve tried Function, Superpower, and InsideTracker. Of the three, InsideTracker is easily the best for longevity/optimization. Analysis is highly personalized. The others are surprisingly generic. InsideTracker’s “Healthspan” categories make interpretation easy, and uncovered a sleep issue the others missed - super important for recovery. This is the sort of insight that makes the cost worthwhile for me. Also, the others had a lot of unexpected extra charges for things I didn’t really need or could get from my PCP/covered by insurance. For InsideTracker, I also discovered that I can upload results from my PCP. A+

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2024-05-21*

Absolutely love this app! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I use it every day, and it has transformed my approach to healthy eating. The personalized food recommendations are spot on, helping me make smarter choices that are tailored to my needs. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy to track my meals and nutritional intake. I've seen a significant improvement in my overall health since I started using it. Highly recommend to anyone looking to take control of their diet and wellness!

### 5/5 — Super actionable!

*2024-03-12, version 2.2.0*

See the high level focus with your bloodwork. And implement a daily action plan to optimize your unoptimized biomarkers! Thank you for producing and continuously improving this service!

### 5/5 — An application loved by Romanians

*2024-03-06, version 2.2.0*

As a Romanian I looking with high hopes at any application that encourages its members to run blood tests and this one does an amazing job of pushing everyone to do these tests every 3 months (quarterly for my US friends). Not that we have vampires, because in the past 536 years I haven’t seen one so far.

### 5/5 — Awesome insights

*2024-01-29, version 2.1.6*

Very happy with inside tracker, the action plan and daily check in. High recommended.

### 5/5 — So helpful in knowing where to focus

*2024-01-18, version 2.1.5*

This app helps me stay on track with the best tweaks and changes. It helps me experiment with things that work for my body by showing what’s working from the inside out!
