### 4/5 — cute reminders of theories

*2026-06-15, version 3.13*

Reenforcement of key tactics

### 3/5 — Limited

*2025-05-23, version 3.13*

One quickly has to pay for lessons that aren’t cheap. The main issue for me is that the explanation are projected over the table so one can’t see the bets and review the stacks and bets made when you’re reading the assessments. There isn’t a great way to go back and see the lesson again other than backing fully out or doing the pack over. That said, the content is pretty good. I hope future versions will have a better UX and ability to double click on topics that aren’t clear.

### 3/5 — Really good but too expensive

*2021-10-14, version 3.13*

The hands and explanations are excellent to practise with. However, to pay £2.40 for one pack with just a few practise hands is just not worthwhile.

### 2/5 — Good but can’t buy!

*2021-03-18, version 3.13*

I liked the sample pack enough to want to try more, signed up, and they send me a email confirmation with a link about about three lines long THAT DOESNT WORK. Comes back saying “invalid link”.
Can’t figure why one would put so much effort into developing what looks like a promising product, then make it impossible to get????

### 4/5 — Need new courses

*2021-02-25, version 3.13*

I love it but I wish they would have more courses or updates

### 4/5 — Fantastic

*2020-10-14, version 3.13*

I think this is a great app, very informative to small time players such as myself. I may not agree with some of the suggestions, but...still fantastic.

### 4/5 — Cool but needs updated

*2019-10-27, version 3.12*

This app is pretty good at letting you have a hands on approach to learning.
But needs updated as it won’t open since the ios13.1.3 update.

### 3/5 — Good training, but lacks depth

*2019-08-23, version 3.11*

Expensive, really expensive for the depth of the training. That being said, the training is better than reading a book. Actually putting the lessons into practice while reading is 10x more effective. There is also the seemingly contradictory content provided by the different instructors. But I think you choose the style your more comfortable with and you can certainly get better. Perhaps once that style is mastered you can move to the other instructors content and try to master that, so you can incorporate both styles in your game.

Another issue I have with the content is, you go through the steps and you learn what to do, “when this happens, and your opponent does this.” And that is good information, but there is not follow up on, “now when this happens, but your opponent does this other thing, what do you do?”

### 2/5 — Pay to Win

*2019-05-25, version 3.11*

This game is great! For about the first 5 minutes. But then you figure out that you have to get another pack because practicing the first one is starting to get boring. So you go to the “free packs” and go oh look 500 coins and I only have 40. Then you go to the next and see the same thing. So after this disappointment you find out that the only way to earn coins is to play packs. Now this would be okaying if the pack the got you enough coins to pay for another free one but nooooo. One of the packs that you buy can give you around 231 max. So you have three of those then you go to the free packs again after a couple hours practicing those and then going back and trying for the most amount of coins. Once you have enough you go to the free pack shop and find out that the pack your about to buy gives you LESS THAN HALF of the coins your about to spend on it back. Now let’s say you do buy it you repeat the process of spending real money and then in game money a couple times and boom you have all the packs and a $53 hole in your wallet.

### 2/5 — Can’t make account - Server error

*2019-05-19, version 3.11*

Every time I try to make an account I get a code 1 internal server error. Please fix this

### 3/5 — Etwas teuer

*2019-01-18*

Sehr teuer aber gut. Preise anpassen dann gibts volle Punkte

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-12-21, version 3.11*

The money I spent on the many apps here, I won back at the poker table and then some. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2018-11-02, version 3.10*

Exactly what I was looking for in letting you make the decisions and then letting you know the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ you make those decisions . This will definitely help my game .

### 5/5 — Excellent & Fun Training!!

*2018-08-12, version 3.10*

I highly recommend this as part of your poker training regime. Actually playing the hands makes you think and the subsequent advice is thorough and excellent. You don’t have to agree with every move to learn something.

I am finding more understanding having to think rather than read a poker book or watch a video and the material all get muddled together.

I go through a hand pack once, then use the practice mode to better absorb the teachings. Then I replay the pack. Never gets old as there are SO SO many hands available.

The point scoring is a nice touch to motivate your seriousness.

Unlike a book or videos you can play a few hands at a time anywhere, anytime.

This is a fun way to learn also.

I am a long term student of Jonathan Little and his teachings here are as thorough as his other teaching platforms.

The Bundle pack is clearly the best deal - I think you get close to 400 hands, with the option to earn free bundles.

### 5/5 — Love this

*2018-04-05, version 3.9*

So much help every purchase has more than paid off by improving my game. I just wish I could link this with my WPT trainer pack also. Thank you and I look forward to the new packs! Ok 2018, I just made Dan O'Brien sign the back of my phone as I took his seat on day 2 of Run it Up Reno main event. This app started it all. I'd gladly wear an Instapoker patch in all my future tournaments!!!!!!

### 3/5 — Playing the same level

*2018-03-04, version 3.9*

It is a fun game, but you have to buy a new levels. That is not fair especially for kids with little money who like playing poker. ( like me!) overall it is a fun game IF YOU WANT TO SPEND MONEY

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!

*2025-07-23, version 3.13*

This app is dead, a ripoff, and has zero customer service or anyone to speak with. If you lose your login info you will never get back in again and nobody ever will answer the phone or email.

### 1/5 — Competi

*2020-06-15, version 3.13*

As for me, I want a simple game. The extra wheels and options, logins and bonus this and that, the layers upon layers upon a soup sandwich of goop is not what I want in a game.

### 1/5 — Currently broken in iOS 13

*2019-10-06, version 3.11*

Crashes right after opening. Used to be great though

### 1/5 — Not cool

*2019-02-06, version 3.11*

Won't let me do what I want makes me do turns without allowing me to just play without paying

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2017-12-29, version 3.9*

The packs are expensive and contain little/flawed knowledge. Huge scam

### 1/5 — Not everyone's kind of Poker

*2017-01-31, version 3.9*

Didn't agree with half on the decisions this app was telling you to make..

### 1/5 — What's wrong

*2017-01-28, version 3.9*

App has stopped working on iPhone, payed for some packages and now can't use them, plz fix.

### 1/5 — Terrible advice

*2016-12-17, version 3.8*

It seems this advice is from the 90s... It advises me in the very first exercise to open mp with 4bb when I only have a 50bb stack..btw, JTs plays extremely well multiway! Next you want me to CB 3/4 pot on a super dry board when a 1/3 bet will do the job. Terrible. Then you want me to fold top pair good kicker because of draws when getting great odds and ip AND the mp lag is likely weak. All terrible advice!

### 1/5 — support

*2016-11-14, version 3.7*

How do contact support for this app, I have a simple request.
I just want to change the email address on this app account.
The app support link does not work.
I will give this app a five star rating if I can do this.

Thank you for your help

### 1/5 — Gives you one tutorial, then wants you to pay

*2016-06-28, version 3.7*

I'd have no trouble paying 4.99$ for something like this. But instead is free, then for a decent lesson plan (12 lessons) it's 104$! That's apparently 40% off. Total rip.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome App!!!

*2026-06-16, version 3.13*

This app is really good for helping teach you position and proper betting techniques. It helps improve the value of the position your in and the proper move to make in any position with most any hand.

### 5/5 — Jonathan little

*2023-05-29, version 3.13*

A very good teacher and student of the game he has great info that would cost you hundreds of dollars for these packs

### 5/5 — Excellent Poker Training

*2019-11-20, version 3.13*

I really like the format of playing a hand being reviewed with an explanation of why to play the hand a certain way!

### 5/5 — Love the app!!

*2019-10-15, version 3.11*

Great app to build a solid game. I’ve been a recreational grinder for over 30 years and this app still fixed some leaks I didn’t know I had. People complaining about cost are insane. You won’t find this level of training for this price anywhere else. I even recommended my son start using this app, as I think it can build a solid player very quickly. Thanks Jonathan and Matt for the great content!!!

### 5/5 — Good poker training app

*2019-06-30, version 3.11*

IP helps with learning the principles of the game by practicing scenarios that come up in live games. It gives reasons for every situation. Using this app has helped my game tremendously. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Seems pretty good

*2019-03-09, version 3.11*

I like the explanations and I get a much better understanding of how the pros are thinking and how I should be playing. The add on hands seem quite expensive, I will probably buy them as the information in the free hands is very good

### 5/5 — The best way to learn poker I have found

*2019-02-28, version 3.11*

The title of this review says it all. I study poker online, play online and at the tables, watch instructional videos from the pros on YouTube, etc. But this app has helped improve my game above all else. It’s the only way to basically simulate the experience of a pro playing along beside you and critiquing you as you go. Some of the in-app comments are things like “why learn to play like the rest of the pack?” Or “just let me play my way.” and to those people I must ask, don’t you see the value in learning the most essential and common strategies that the pros use? Of course it’s good to play your own style and to separate yourself from the pack, but to do that with the most skill and intelligence possible you have to know what the pack is doing and how they’re thinking.
I’ll leave you with this... this app has the potential to pay for itself during your very next game.

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2019-01-09, version 3.11*

I’m hasan from Iran here my government has been forbidden playing poker for us therefore we haven’t casino books...but your item help us approving our poker level thanks
