Been using the previous version for a while and love it. This update has multiple bugs, can't use 1 or 2 links at bottom of most pages, can't go back to menu page without force closing the app and restarting, and the app closes itself often while navigating, to name a few. ### 1/5 — Don't buy *2012-04-14* This app is horrible! When u look at muscles of an area you get origin and insertion sights on the bone. Not the muscles themselves. You think you're getting a picture of something, but when the page opens its not what it says it's supposed to be. Like the sciatic nerve being found under the "surface anatomy" category of of the leg. Ok, not really surface anatomy, but whatever.but u get these crude drawings of what is supposed to be the sciatic nerve and how it travels down the leg (I'm assuming that's what it's trying to illustrate, but that's only because I know it). If I had to use this app to help myself study anatomy I would be SCREWED. Not a cool app at all. ### 3/5 — Needs some work *2013-10-03* The illustrations aren't half bad, and its useful being able to flip through quick diagrams and brief explanations of the anatomical areas, vessels, nerves, muscles, joints, etc. However it doesn't have all the information or even all the joints or vessels you would need to know. I was actually still satisfied with this app at first, until I started noticing MISTAKES. As an anatomy app that i'm paying for, that's unacceptable. The information should be reviewed to make sure that its all correct, especially since you're targeting medical students and doctors as your customers. An example is the sternoclavicular joint of the shoulder, its a saddle joint, how on earth did you manage to list it as a ball in socket joint? It behaves like a ball in socket joint but that is not its classification. Thats one mistake, believe me, there are a few more. I'll leave it to the makers of this app to go back and find them and fix them. ### 3/5 — Not really flash cards... *2011-07-01* It's a reasonable app for study, but misleadingly titled in my opinion. I generally associate the term "flash cards" with a study technique where information to be memorized is on one side of a card and you go through the stack and answer questions, flipping them to test your memory. That's certainly what all the other "flash card" apps do! This app doesn't do that, it's just a heap of drawings like the ones in the screenshots with no actual "flash card" functionality for memorization and self-testing. I would rate this as merely ok, a nice set of quick summaries on a lot of topics, but not quite what I was looking for unfortunately. I already own several books with this sort of thing... ### 4/5 — Bookmark! *2015-07-03* Overall, an excellent way to revise for exams and to provide quick references. It would be great if bookmarking system was incorporated into the app. Looking forward to this much-needed feature in the upcoming updates! ### 4/5 — Content great, app could excel further *2011-06-14* There's no doubting the content, though I'd like to see the app program itself work a little harder. 1. Make it possible to swipe on to the next/previous slide so as not to continuously exit and return. It's common on other content I've used such as A to Z dermatology. 2. Have a function to run as an automatic slide show over every 30 seconds for example. I'm in the medical field and this is what I needed for the hospital. When I'm with a patient, it's important to show them what body parts are being affected and how the treat and correct the problem before it gets worse. Once they visualize this, then I work on step two: proper assesement and contining future rehabilitation. Ideal to brush up on the old anatomy before the old boys grill you. ### 5/5 — Good anatomy app *2011-08-15* I've been looking out for this app for a number of years: It was previously only available as part of an expensive bundle of medical programs (? for Palm OS) - I wanted a plain & simple anatomy program which I could occasionally use when seeing patients: it's over 30yrs since I qualified & I can't claim to remember everything I once did. I've also "gifted" the app to my daughter who is studying medicine - I think it would be a good resource at any stage. I previously bought Nettler's Anatomy but it's more like a quiz with pictures full of red pins but no tags.
