## What is Instant Background Check?

Instant Background Check is a fast, affordable way to search national criminal records — with no subscription and no monthly fee.

Enter a name and date of birth to search. A Social Security Number is optional but recommended — get a report back in seconds.

WHO USES INSTANT BACKGROUND CHECK
People turn to Instant Background Check for personal safety and peace of mind — before meeting someone from a dating app, welcoming a new roommate, letting a contractor into their home, or reconnecting with someone from their past. It is a personal-use tool, not a hiring or tenant-screening service.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EVERY SEARCH
• Criminal Records Search — national criminal database covering all 50 states
• SSN Validation — verify Social Security Number authenticity (when an SSN is provided)
• Address History — confirm previous addresses where the person lived (when an SSN is provided)

YOUR SSN IS NEVER STORED
If you provide a Social Security Number, it is used only to run your search and is permanently deleted from our database once your report is generated — win or lose, we don't keep it. SSNs are always encrypted while in use and are never shown in full.

PAY PER SEARCH, NOT PER MONTH
There is no subscription. Each background check is a single in-app purchase, so you pay only for the individual searches you actually run. You are charged only after a report has been successfully generated — if a search cannot be completed, you are not charged.

Every search requires you to certify permissible use before it runs. Searching without an SSN matches on name and date of birth only, which carries a higher chance of a false match — this is disclosed clearly before you search.

I used this background check for my company, when I had to hire some manual laborers and it returned their information instantly, with a readable break down of the data! Super efficient, and for only $8 a pop it saved me at least $100 from going to the big companies

Social Security Number is now optional when searching (name and date of birth alone are enough to run a search, with a clear on-screen warning about reduced accuracy without it). Your SSN, if you provide one, is now permanently deleted from our database once your report is generated — we no longer retain it. Fixed a display issue where entry fields could appear with a doubled border.
